    I feel for you guys working in this stinking heat. I live in Brisbane, and when I’ve done the mowing, or anything else outside, my shirts and duds are literally like I’ve been in a pool. The older I get the more I can’t handle the humidity. I’m enjoying the Torana build immensely. Good work. 🙂.

    Hoping when it's all done and sorted you tell us what the final bill is. I'm betting north of $80,000 BUT this car will be 500 times better than when it rolled off the production line. If only the same attention to detail was still out there. Sadly now it's very rare!

    Hey Mick and Darryl, love watching the build and your explanations of the why and how of the repairs. I’m rapt that many of my repairs are similar to yours, albeit I don’t have the skills for file finishing. I have a question about the additional 2 x holes in the outer sills, look to be about 40mm? They dont appear on my 7/73 LJ coupe (not XU1) and I don’t recall seeing them on other Torries. Sorry don’t know which factory mine came from ( Perth car) but I’m the second owner, had it since 1984 and first to mess with the paint.

    • @adamsonautobody
      @adamsonautobody  7 месяцев назад

      Hi @adamgowlett982 we just replicated what was there on this Torana.
      The size is around 40mm holes.
      Thanks for watching.👍

    G'day,
    Some awesome work, guys. Mick, that sill really came up a treat.
    And Pop your decision to remove the inner door piece worked out nicely.
    2 question's,
    Why do most trades remove the guard on your grinders.
    And secondly the small belt sander you use. What would be best to buy the air operated or the electric.
    So as always thanks for sharing ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.

    • @adamsonautobody
      @adamsonautobody  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks @kevinhamling1963. We remove the guards because it gets in the way a lot of the time.
      We love air tools as you can always control your speed and they have plenty of power.
      Being in the trade over a very long time we have always used air tools. I think today it's a personal choice on battery power or air Kev.
      Thanks for coming back and watching 🙂

    Do you blokes ever consider or recommend deskinning any of theses cars to catch any unseen rust problems?
    I understand it probably a massive increase in labour and inturn increases the cost,but considering the high level of your work I'd be disappointed in a few years if some unseen rust problem begins.
    Ol pops is a bit of a shit stirer,good to see
