      A team might even take a shot at him in the second half of the 1st-rd.
      They would need to pick him at 15th.

    • @theheez6201
      @theheez6201 7 месяцев назад +1

      I’m a fan of both. Sennecke is a safe homerun pick. One of the fastest risers in the class and dude is going to be a load when he fills in. Size a silky mitts, yes please.

    • @AnaheimRob
      @AnaheimRob 7 месяцев назад

      Watch Sennecke's video's. Very skilled player. He just didn't start to shine until later in the season. Had he played the same the first two thirds of the season as he did the last third he would have been a top five consensus prospect on just about every draft ranking. No doubt about it.

    • @broadh2o980
      @broadh2o980 7 месяцев назад

      @@AnaheimRob but doesn’t it seem risky to pick a guy 3rd overall because of 1/3 of a season’s body of work? I know we are betting on the potential, but I feel that a 3rd OA prospect should have some more consistency
      I agree he seems incredibly skilled with his hands and as a skater, and there’s a ton to project with his body. There’s just some risk there because of what I mentioned

    • @AnaheimRob
      @AnaheimRob 7 месяцев назад

      @@broadh2o980 Yeah, it can be a risk, but the kid went from an early 20 to 25 pick before the season with many "experts" and then down to the 12 to 15 range a couple of months before the end of the season to top ten pick maybe as low a 6th a week before the draft. A lot of people had him on their radar after his playoff performance. He was that good. Even though players such as Demidov and Lindstrom have been in the forefront since the beginning of the year and as yearly as a few years ago with Demidov they still carry risks. Demidov has only played in the MHL and has the whole Russian factor that some teams don't like. Lindstrom is having back issues that some may not want to risk dealing with if the issue returns as a big problem. Odds are both those players will do just fine in the NHL but you never know. Sennecke does have risk but at this point it would seem his ceiling is extremely high. If he improves his play even more moving forward and fills out, putting on 15 to 20 lbs of muscle over the next few years he has the potential to be worth that third pick and then some. The safer plays were definitely with Demidov and Lindstrom and for good reason. they are very good players. I have a feeling Verbeek sees Sennecke at his full potential being a cross between those two. Big, skilled two way player that can score, pass and make other players look silly. I hope that is the case, but it will take a few years to find out. No matter what Sennecke looks like he will be an NHL player. Worse case scenario he is a solid second line wing. Best case, he is top line, NHL All Star type and top five at his position.
