- Whats up RUclips! i got a special one for you today! Installed some ISR long tube headers on my 370z and paired them with my motordyne exhaust. No they are the cheapest for a reason. Many people say it has fitment issues, hence the price

Did you wrap, ceramic coat or prep these in any way before installation?
I heat wrapped headers, it makes a difference and keeps the Temps down
I read you used to have art pipes before the isr lth. How big is the difference between the 2, sound and performance wise? Currently on artpipes but wanting the isr lth. Also have the shockwave. Thx
well let's see sound wise, its obviously louder cuz no resonators from the art pipes, in regards to performance it felt better. I wouldn't say its a drastic jump in power you'll only get that with boost. ur chasing minimal gains. Sound wise art pipes is best imo. isr longtime sounds good but its alot louder. I daily it with a tomei and I've been pulled over twice already lol. but its sound is amazing when ur on it. its manageable when I had the motordyne exhaust and longtubes. drone wasn't bad.

yes it will, the longtube headers only replace test pipes and exhaust manifold. You can still run an aftermarket y pipe and which ever exhaust u choose

Did you have to put heat wrap on it since there’s no more heat shield from factory?
no you don't have to, I did it to help keep the heat within the headers to help with scavenging
I really want to install these on my 6mt G37 Coupe, I currently have an Ark Grip exhaust so idk how the outcome would be. Hopefully similar to this but a little quieter as Ark is a quieter deeper exhaust
I'm not sure might be similar, cuz the motordyne has alot of resonators

I was thinking of getting headers for my G. I have the Shockwave as well. So I saw you posted you had art pipes prior to this. So this obviously removes art pips and goes straight to the Y pipe. Are you running the regular MD Y pipe? The original one that has the larger "suitcase" resonator, or did you opt to get one of the new modules like the thunder pipe, hfc, or resonated? Just trying to get an idea of what you're running right after your Y pipe.
I have the original one that comes with the motordyne, I was debating changing the module but cars already loud 😅 I feel if u get the thunder it would be like straight pipe loud, the resonated one might be interesting, but I believe the one it already has cleans up the sound. but to each their own.
the good thing is you can always change it, I'm waiting for ppl to dyno it so i can see if it's worth upgrading it
Nismo Kev is it possible to run the motordyne Art resonator that you can run on the motordyne header on the ISR header to kill some drone
What type of extension harness would it take for a 2014 370z automatic transmission? Thanks in advance
I can't say for sure because the harness are diff depending on the yr of your car. safest bet is to check your plug to know which one is for your car

yea its definitely loud 😭 I went from art pipes so it was tame only loud when on it... this setup has me driving careful around the city under 3k rpm or its screaming🤷♂️ but its the trade off for more power. the sound is way deeper tho
@@Vq_Kev i roll my car to the driveway before cold start in the morning trying not to wake my wife. Neighbors can suck a lemon lol i do try to pull out slow though, not that much of a bitch

So I plan on getting the same longtube headers with the same exhaust for my G37. Will the headers hook straight up to the exhaust because they are longtube or will I still need to have my cats on?
longtube headers replace your cats. so it basically connects to the y pipe. If you have short tube headers you keep your cats.
When u did the cold start and the rpms started to drop what was that knocking noise my car has the same noise and can’t figure out what it is and it’s really bothering me ngl

Are they the 5 inch rolled tips? I just bought a 370 and am getting the motordyne exhaust.
no they were the 4.5 I believe, the 5in tips cost more. The 4.5 actually melted a piece of my bumper 😅

@@bullitt0910 no worries glad to help!and you can always add washers/spacers by the hangars so the exhaust sits a lil lower so you don't burn your bumper. I only had this issue because of my flame map😅
I have just installed ISR headers and an ISR Y Pipe on my 370z along with a Remark V2 mid pipe and muffler... but now I’m getting like a hiss and vibration noise above 3k rpm and and also when it revs back down... the sound is coming from the flex part of the y pipe. It’s vibrating so much and is really annoying. I’ve heard of people putting water hose clamps around the flex part of the y pipe to stop it from vibrating so much, which I might try. Any other suggestions? Thanks
make sure you don't have an exhaust leak , nd these cars have a hiss when longtube or test pipes are added

Would the type 1 extension harness work for the 350Z ? Keep up the fire content 🔥
if u have the de motor they have a separate harness as for the hr I'm assuming a type 1 would fit but the safest bet ot to take a pic of your current sensor to make sure its the upstream one
Sound amazing! were you able to run high flow cats or is this catless? I've yet to find a header combo where you can still run high flow cats for those of us that don't want to tamper with the car every 24 months come DEQ time. Just have a FI catback + CF mufflers, which I absolutely love the sound, but the stock cats are garbage needless to say.
The long tubes replace where the normal headers and cats are, if you wanted to run cats youd need to put them past that in the exhaust, which would require some custom fab and more sensor extensions.
no I cannot with this set up, the only headers I know that have modules you can swap out for a resonator, straight pipe or hfc is the motordyne headers. might be worth a look if thats the route you want to take 👌
PPE has a catted Y pipe option
PPE and Motordyne offer that option and they both are equal length headers for a better flow and sound! 👌
Do these headers throw a cel on a 370z?? I’m in the market for LTH but I’m trying to avoid a cel
all test pipes, and longtube headers, will throw a CEL light. only way to correct it remove it is with a tune.
I was considering getting the same headers for my 2017 z it’s a base coupe model. Would the connector type be a “1”from Nisformance as well?
they could be the same connectors for you, but they vary year by year safest bet would be to check your plug to make sure

How did you like your original set up with the ark pipes ? I’m planning on getting a motordyne but not sure if I should pair it with the ark pipes or get long tube headers. Why did you switch it?
I miss that setup, was crisp. I wanted something a lil more louder and more power hence why I went with longtubes. the longtubes and motordyne was perfect imo. I switched to tomei because it's stupid light and makes more power. If I could do it over I'd probably get ppe headers and motordyne exhaust

@@EL-sc9on ppe is crafted a lot better than the isr’s. PPE is also Equal Length & the collector found on it is one of the best *if you opt out for it. (Equal Length Headers give the VQ that high pitch scream & exotic intoxicating sound). Don’t get me wrong isr’s are the best bang for your buck when it comes to LTH
Funny it sounds just like my 350z , looks like a similar exhaust setup just not as many resonators
sounds different in person, but in my opinion resonators really help with just drone and rasp, but the exhaust will still be loud
you cant cut and splice the o2 wires unless you use identical gauge wires
yes ideally same guage wires, but even then u want to be careful because those sensors readings are sensitive, it's best to just get extensions made from nisformance if you aren't confident in ur soddering skills
What year is your 370z and are these the DE 350z headers? I heard the DE isr headers are a direct bolt on to G37s/370zs
my 370z is a 2018. yea they fit those cars, just depending on the year you might have to move the studs

Do headers make it sound raspy?
In all honesty it depends on your exhaust set up, mine doesn't sound raspy in my opinion because i have resonators in my y-pipe i might be switching to a tomei y pipe or a motordyne y pipe soon so if the sound changes ill make sure to address it. If you don't have any resonators it will sound raspy. But sound is subjective.
What’s up, man. I currently have isr resonated test pipes and an invidia gemini cat back but am looking for something louder while still maintaining that deep tone. I’ve had a Greddy Revolution rs single exit on order for months now and it’s delivery time just got pushed back another 4 weeks so I’m thinking about getting something else if there are better options that aren’t too expensive. Would appreciate your opinion💪🏻
greddy dual, and the greddy single are good options, the isr single as well. if you have the cash 💸 then motordyne catback is amazing as well. The gemeni is really quiet in my opinion, my friend has it with art pipes

if would get this ISR long tube headers on my 350z w/ n1 invidia exhaust. Would it pass my emissions test? lol I live in Illinois and they only do OBD2, so IDK if I should wait till I do my emissions and then install it or just do it before.. i already have my n1 invidia install btw. What do you think?
I dont believe it will pass because it removes your catalytic converter it will throw a CEL code eventually , you will have to get tuned for the car to run 💯
So after I get my car tuned will I be able to pass emissions? Or will the code still be there?
@@cesardelacruz4631 it depends on how strict of emissions are where u are. here in cali you won't pass at all, you have to pay someone to pass it for u

@Cesar De La Cruz I don’t know how strict they are in your area but I would do the emissions test and pass. Before putting headers on. Unless you have a friend that is gonna pass you regardless

u need an extension harness, the question is what type of harness, because 350z/g35 and 370z/g37 have different adaptors

in regards to rasp I have some around the high rpm range when I'm flooring it. but its very minimal. my art pipes nd motordyne had no rasp. this one a lil. with the headers there is some drone but its not crazy loud like a tomei lol

yea they are reputable shop 🤙 and maybe they will fit I think they just might have to move the studs around

May I ask why you chose these over the motordyne LTH?
I was torn between both of them, ISR for the price was hard to beat and motordyne was out of stock at the moment. If I could do it again I would get PPE headers or motordyne if I wanted to quiet my tomei down more

@@johnososkalo4705 no complaints its good for the price, if I switch it would be for motordyne in order to add resonators to quiet my tomei down. if I stick with my motordyne I would have gone ppe headers cuz that's the best in terms of power. but NA is slow, once I drive a boosted Z I realized that. in saving for boost now.
Ok I see, I definitely need to make my setup louder plus I'll gain some whp switching out my Art Pipes for these isr LTHs. And you definitely cant beat the price for what you get. Some test pipes alone are pricier than these and these are headers and test pipes in one. I have a 6mt g37 coupe with an Ark Exhaust and Art pipes and although it sounds beautiful it is extremely quiet for a catless VQ setup. There are a total of 8 resonators/mufflers from the test pipes back and swapping my Art pipes for these will remove 2 plus give me some more gains.
I'm definitely boosting my G eventually as well either doing the Topguns SC kit or Boosted Performance single turbo.

Hey you know what type the g37 takes??
depends on the year of your car boss, gotta take a look at the connecter for your sensor and see which one matches up with sensors sold at nisformance. that's how I did it.

I wouldn't be able to tell u because I haven't gone for a retune yet, I plan to in the upcoming months and will make a video of it. got rn i pretty much have my butt dyno too go on😅 , car feels better in the mid/top end compared to the art pipes + stock headers

it's loud but not tomei loud 😅 so it's like a solid 8? tomei with headers is 10/10

@@v36eezy yea its quieter for sure compared to motordyne and tomei. The motordyne had the best tone. the tomei is an experience lol. and isr is more tame , but has a nice growl when ur on it. if u don't have a resonated y pipe or test pipes it can be louder . but may get raspy.? depends on ur taste

What gaskets u end up using?
for the headers I didn't use the ones isr provided, I used some other gaskets that the shop provided they are thin metal ones like the ones that the oem headers use

PPE is a solid choice it's on the higher end, the merge is parallel so it's supposedly a lil better if your going all out NA🤷♂️ but headers in general will yield around the same

you physically can't run any test pipes when you have longtube headers, where they end the y pipe begins. so this set up was just my isr longtube headers, and motordyne exhaust

isr headers bolt right up to my motordyne e370z catback exhuast. so the motordyne y pipe :)

How is dron , rattle when cruising???? 70mp up?
Right now I had isr full exhaust is fukennn rattle.......
rattling wasn't a problem, gotta check ur fitment and see if something is loose or touching something. and drone wasn't to bad tbh cuz the motordyne had alot of resonators. would only hear drone at like 70mph but it wasn't overpowering like my tomei

@@MrDizaier resonator on your isr exhaust? if so you can replace or weld a new vibrant one on it, will probably sound better tbh. hope your able to resolve it.
I check already rattle is between end of y pipe with resonator....;(((.. maybe is bad construction factory isr y pipe to much flow air..going
