As a crazy guy myself I see people on bikes doing trails/tracks/stunts/ETC and I am stunned. My crazy was 4 wheels on a quarter or eighth mile track........ SMOOTH track. You guys are nuts. I do have a semi vintage Huffy hardtail MTB and I love it, but in all honesty I need to say it has literally been converted to a street cruiser with plenty of bling and flash, not gaudy, but a crowd pleaser. I'm now 53 years old and have as much metal in my body as my bike has (all of my bikes nearly, of course I have more than one) but I identify as a bicyclist now instead of a drag racer because I can afford it more now that I am busted up (natural breakdown not caused by any accidents). I subbed to you awhile ago because of your content, it's great. By the way, a hardtail on that track, are you NUTS? Yes you are, that's why I subbed. Brother I love the videos, keep them coming. You can do what I never did and could not do now if I had to. Great job!

I feel your pain, I’m on my Kona Honzo at the moment while the full sus is at the LBS. You really have to pay attention to what’s coming up on the trail as it’s so easy to tweak your ankles Nice effort 🤘🏻
Mid pack on a hardtail is great in my books. Now just think if you do some leg and arm strengthening allowing you to maintain your fast pace, how much time can you knock off in the future. Nice clean racing, well done, the Hanzo was a beast.
I'd love to see a vid on your training plan and how you got into shape for this since I remember in the past you and b1ker were working on losing the lbs.

Great riding on the Hardie ! I've got a ESD and what a bike ! Was in La Thuile in Italy and those trails are pretty steep and full of Jank and the Hardie handled it like a treat ! Do you use tyre inserts ? What do you think of the Marzocchi? The bushings on mine already playing up and no more than 20 rides old . Thinking about getting some Lyriks
Kona really made a great bike with the ESD - I'm running a cushcore in the rear and the Z1 has been great for me. I bumped mine to 170mm and serviced it during the swap, made a huge different!
Over forks by 20 mills, 63 heading out to start with! You have slackened that baby out, that definitely helps, but still nothing compared to having squish in the rear. Great riding!
I thought only Blake Samson from GMBN was draft enough to do an EWS on a hardtail. Are you likely to try and better Blake? By doing the Megavalache on a hartdtail..
Are you using clips pedals? Is much harder in hardtail to control whit flats and you get tired much easy whit flats because your feet is moving from the pedals you are wasting energy, hardtail much better whit clips
Love a good hard tail, and kudos for doing this on one. But can’t see why u didn’t grap the fully, when you are competing, other then having an excuse, for the bad result 🤷♂️
"a black diamond here in whistler is like a double black in the rest of the world" oh my guy, you def need to reconsider that, well send you to the alps and then you get to choose. those blacks that you rode range from light to slight dark reds over here, not close to black.
Maybe I should have said in the rest of the states! But believe me, these trails are much more black than the gopro lets on - you'd just have to ride them and tell me what you think!
