I really enjoy your shows. I own a 1983 Chevy G20 van, I lost my legs over 13 years a go. I've got prosthetic legs but can't built the things I use to. My brother loved 4X4s, he built some amazing ones. God do I so miss him. Your builds are amazing. I enjoy that you show how you do these amazing creations. Keep up the great work.
The stance is perfect. It really does look like it came from the factory like that. It has to be very satisfying to reach this point with another van, certainly since this is a different lift than you have done on the past. It seems like the lift height, tire size and everything is just right.
Another good video, Thanks for showing us everything (hits and misses).. It's helpful to know we're all making the same mistakes. I'll be starting on mine next weekend, I'll be in a friends shop just long enough to get it on the new axles and then I'll be working on all the other details at home later. Has to be complete before the hot rod power tour in June.
Good luck on your build. Hope you make it for Power Tour, that will be awesome! And yes there are always hits and misses. Got to show it like it is, we're all human. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think it looks great, nice work! I'm not one for big lifts and 40" tires though. 31" to 35" max works for most people who will take something like this on backroads to find that camp spot away from the crowded pay sites. Right up my alley! :)
I did get my order yesterday. I’m very impressed. The shirt and stickers are top notch. It only took about three days after I ordered to get them. Thank you all again for all you’re doing for us. 😀
37:09 is that as g20 gladiator to the left? If so will you keep the original around trim or take it off when lifting it? Not sure if it would be in the way. I mean like the wide fenders around the wheels.
No that's a Mark III conversion. Not exactly what we will do with that one yet. But if we do a conversion on it the flares will come off. Thanks again.
Y'all do good work. Where's a good place to get a ladder and spare tire holder? Figure I'll try wrecking yard, but is there someplace online that has good stuff?
Probably the salvage yard would be your best bet. There is a company, Aluminess. They make all kinds of products for vans. Not sure about for G series though. Not much stuff out there for the older ones. May have to make yourself. Thanks for watching.
Looks great. Nice ride height and tire proportion. I’d drive it. Any concerns about durability with the 6 lug axles? I see a lot of 8 lug but it adds considerable expense. I don’t want to rock bounce my van, just drive it.
Thank You. No concern at all. I think people underestimate 6 lug axles. GM and Jeep used them for many years in their half ton vehicles. In this van with 31 inch tires and what it will be used for, there will be no problems at all. I know not as strong as 8 lug, but I have seen them do some pretty impressive things with 33 inch and even up to 35 in tires over the years. Thanks for watching and commenting.

What leaf springs do you use in the front? Love what you all are doing.
Any squarebody Chevrolet or GMC will work. Thanks for watching.
could be the camera angle but is the back sagging a bit? i like it raised in the rear a bit if anything
It is about an inch lower in the rear. That's the way we like em. 2wd, lower in the front. 4wd, just a bit higher in the front. Thanks for watching.
From which car do you have the front axle installed?
We use Chevrolet square body axles.

What do y'all charge to build a van
Just send us an email with your number and we will be happy to give you a call. Thanks.
I think there's allot of crafty know how that Ivan displays that cant really be taught. Seems like a witty individual.
Ivan does have the crafty for sure. He has a lot of talent, glad he is part of The Swim Shop 4x4.
