Roll cages are pretty dangerous in street cars where you don’t always have a helmet on

very cool, get any danna 30 axle shaft you can find and load with wheel bearings, pull your wheel bearing out in your drive way on your terms, once you put that locker in you will break shafts i had it down to 25 minutes ti swap out on the trail and kept wheeling, sweet progress

Got to love the long arm kit! After lockers, the only thing left it to 4-link the rear and it would be almost unstoppable!
Pretty damn cool. Proof that you can spend a total of maybe $5,000 (truck and mods) and have a blast. No one needs a brand new Jeep to have fun.
If even that, you can find these XJs for low thousands in pretty good condition

I'm still on the fence with the colors, but coming around to them. Those mods are making that XJ a true beast. But I have to say, the white XJ losing the drive shift is 100% not your fault. Play hard and break hard, just have some replacement parts on hand, especially if you are driving your toy home afterwards.

If you powerbrake it when your spinning with open diffs it equalizes the pressure and makes it so all 4 tires spin

Once the ball and trunion joint went bad in my grandpas 67 wagoneer. He dropped the rear shaft put it in 4x4 and drove it home on the fromt wheels. That jeeps done that twice. Assuming he gets his xj out of the trails if he takes it easy he probably could get her home

I have to say Steve I love these wheelin videos. Once you get lockers you are going to have to learn to keep your foot out of the skinny peddle or you will start breaking things!
@Maximus Prime yea i have 15s on 35s for one rig but most of my rigs are 17s on 37s. I air down to 6-7 on my toyota and around 10 on my dodge ram. It makes all the difference. I would love it if Steve tried it.

Did you use the length that rough country provided in the directions for the control arms or did you have to adjust to correct them.
I need help big time I have a 2002 GMC one ton Dooley flatbed my question to you is if the driver side axle was to break would the truck not move and what it act like it’s in neutral when you’re in drive or park
?????? I know you can fix it and my truck is at a storage in Manheim Pennsylvania

Looks a little stiff just form the videos, you ought to try to get your boys at rough country to hook it up with some adjustable bypasses down the road. The ones they got actually look sick.

@@senditsteve8206 that’s good for a non-bead lock wheel. I never go below 12 on my non-bead locks. Must be the tire sidewall is very stiff?
Love the XJ build. I had a 2000 XJ long arm with Rubicon express 6 1/2 inch with hummer bead locks and it was the same exact color too. Ha ha ha. I miss that vehicle.
