Dear Jean, nice to wake up this dreary morning and see a video from you. Love to sit and listen to you chat about this and that. The photos are lovely, love to all the Trueloves 🏴
Jean-good luck on making those cushion covers. I have made covers before but I used the old ones for a pattern. It is so nice all of your families are out enjoying themselves.
Lovely pics Jean, looks like you have a long time to finish those cushions going by all the snow !!! You looked stunning in that photo with the parrots and yes they do look like the same ones xx
Such a lovely family. I feel for you and the cushion challenge. I have been tasked to replace 12 sets of patio cushions (3 sets of 4) different sizes. And “could you put zippers in them so they can be laundered? Geez, I make quilts & costumes.
Jean, you are such a funny and sweet woman! I feel just like you about making cushions. It's not as easy as some think it is. You really got a deal on the refund from Joann's. Good for you! Hope you continue to feel better and try to rest when you need to.
So glad to hear about the Truelove's children and their travels. Cushions are a challenge. I wish you luck and am eager to see the outcome. Glad everyone is doing well. Please take care of yourself. Love all of you..
Enjoyed your stories today! Do I see your Sailright machine on your left? I really do think that is the same parrot in the two pictures! That is amazing! Zion is a beautiful place, along with many other sites out west! It is so different from the eastern U.S. Best of Luck tackling those cushions! Oh, not long ago I ordered poly- fil to stuff some crocheted pumpkins. It came vaccum-sealed in a package about 1 inch thick and about 5x7. I have always gotten the large bags before. I was shocked! I like hearing you laugh!
The parrot that the children are holding looks just like the parrot on your shoulder! I don't envy you having to do this project! I'm sure they will be beautiful! The red ones at your old home are gorgeous! Loved our conversation, it was fun! Take care!
We had snow flurries all day at my home in Maryland, near Washington, D.C., but no accumulation like the Poconos! Wow! My daughter was at Mount Zion in June for her Bachelorette excursion of climbing and hiking. Her group loved it! Congrats on the grands. I have 5. 4 live near me and one lives in Minnesota. Funny thing, mine are similar ages: 3 granddaughters are all age 8, and the new grandsons are 6. No twins, just cousins!
What a most beautiful family…inside and out ❤! In SE Kansas we are pretty lucky. Mid 50s today and 60s over the weekend but…no palm trees (my favorite)😂. Safe travels to your family in their travels! Sending love and all good things.
So now we know where they got the idea for you to make the cushions: You made them before and they didn’t forget! 😂 You created your own pickle! 😝 (Unbeknownst to you.) Great job on getting your money back for the wrong foam and great pics! 😊
After you put all your blood sweat and tears into these bloody cushions they had better take them in during inclement weather. You are one amazing lady Jean to be doing this! My husband and I made seat covers for a car we had YEARS ago…it’s a wonder we didn’t get a divorce during the construction of them! He did the cutting and ‘supervising’ & I did the sewing - ugh!!!!😩
After we moved to DE 2 years ago, my neighbor asked if I do alterations. I explicitly said NO. Well, a couple of weeks ago she is telling me she bought a velour lounge set- but the pants are too long. 🙄 After some begging on her part I said I would hem them. Ugh- stretchy velour!! What was I thinking? I was very anxious about it. THEN she proceeds to tell me she got the lounge set for $25. AND- the lady at the dry cleaners wanted $25 to hem the pants. She refused to pay that for hemming... All I could think was NEVER AGAIN. The pants turned out fine (darn it!). 😒 Now I'm in for more requests, I can just feel it. 🍭
I love “my hoarding instinct kicked in”.

You make me laugh so much Jean! The families are all so beautiful! That snow was awesome.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow...... and the cushions will make an appearance in the SPRING :) :) :)

Hi Jean! That's a big job!
Perfect music at the end to a fun update! Ugh, those cushions would take me a month with a lot of coffee and chocolate!🙄😂

I always put my phone with an electric knife. You can find them at secondhand stores. If you don’t have one works wonders.
You might become Jean the cushion maker 😂❤
Cushions cushions you better get cracking 😂😂love all the photos

I will admit, I would have grabbed the foam too and I’m not making any cushions but you never know when you might need it!!!😊
😂❤❤❤

I’m sure the cushions will turn out fine 😅, I hem and make cushions and bags, I love creating things.
**that instinct trait kicks in quite often***
