    I have this problem as well as cervical instability due to a car accident 10 years ago (side whiplash). My ribs and neck constantly pop, just from taking a deep breath! Additionally, I have a lot of dizziness and balance problems related to the neck issue. I had my first prolotherapy treatment with Dr. Marc Johnson (who trained with Dr. Hauser) 3 weeks ago and my ribs are popping much less. I'm hoping that with continued treatments, I will see more improvement. Very thankful for this channel and the work you are doing. It is an invaluable resource!!

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  Год назад

      Hi Odins Fire- Thank you for your kind words. Good question. Prolotherapy injections are basically the opposite of cortisone. Cortisone is basically used in hopes of providing short term relief from pain and inflammation, but it has long-term damaging effects on tissue, and part of the reason it cannot be performed more than certain number of times. So, it actually increases joint instability in the long-run. Prolotherapy stimulates the body to repair over the long-term. We have some other videos that discuss it in more detail if you want to do a deeper dive on the topic: ruclips.net/video/pznSkPz7zyg/видео.html Wish you all the best in health!

    Im having issues in my 8,9 & 10. Some days hurts all the way around me like a hook. Somedays it just hurts and lingers in the front and some days its in back amd its hard to catch your breath when up moving around. Ive had everything ruled out. Lungs, liver, kidneys, colon, i have no gall bladder or appendix, no female organs. Nothing is left. Why do more doctors not know about this condition? I am in so much pain and no one can seem to help. I feel them pop at the tip when i take a deep breath. I def have the worst pain in 9 but 8 looks sunk in. 10 has pain on palpatation front and back.

    Does anyone ever feel like their head is going to fall off ? My neck cracks and pops really bad . I had a job building high lines and my neck locked up real bad when I looked up one day . I started having problems when I played football . I also have pain between my shoulder blades were I got hit with a heavy folding chair it hurt me bad and my hands hurt very bad off and on later I started dropping things and lost the feeling in my hands and arms that’s gotten so bad . That when my bed caught fire from a old heating pad that shorted out when I had dozed off . it burned my left fore arm bad but I never felt it burn no pain . my cat started jumping on me and woke me up . I didn’t even know I’d burned it till after I put out the fire . It burned it black for about four inches it never hurt . Maybe that’s caused from a massive reconstruction of both shoulders . Iv been hurt a lot it’s been nature of my jobs all physical . Anyway anyone have the head falling off feeling it also makes my chest and right bottom ribs hurt feels like I’m having a heart attack . iv had at least 3 and a triple bypass done were they cut the Brestbone then open the chest . then wire it back together . Iv had most of that done by 38 I think plus many many broken bones and dislocations plus other operations . I guess I’m beyond help . I never thought about all those things put together like that before . That sounds bad .

      Wow - we are so sorry to hear this! We are praying for your complete and total healing!!
      No one is beyond help - we would absolutely love to get you in for an evaluation! The thing with instability is that it is degenerative, meaning you don't just wake up one morning unstable... it starts small and continues to worsen over time.

Two clear spinal MRI results with the Dr pointing in the direction of CBT therapy. Extremely frustrating and in constant pain. • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  6 месяцев назад +1

      We always recommend gettin proper testing such as a DMX and ultrasound if possible! These are the best ways to see instability. The thing with instability is that it is degenerative meaning if you don’t do anything about it, it will continue to get worse. We wish you all the best on your journey and if you find that you can travel, we’d love to see you!

      There are three therapies you could try
      In Scotland. Just takes a google search. Prolotherapy, dry needling and PRP.
      If your chronic pain is already high these therapies won’t work. There are two types of inflammation 1. Chronic 2. Acute. The body only sends its healing mechanisms to acute pain but not to chronic pain like arthritis.
      These therapies aim to trigger an acute injury response that sends collagen rebuilding and scar tissue to the site of injury. But the scar tissue is inflexible, rigid and weak. It is like glue. You can easily re-injure this area. If you create an acute injury on top of chronic inflammation then it could trigger an inflammation multiplication that sets off the arthritis and exacerbates it. Then the body will not respond and the injury will worsen.
      This therapy is great for athletes that notice their injury at a certain threshold but aren’t affected by it in a static state. This therapy would help fortify their body at high outputs in their sport. The key is that at rest these athletes are pain free.
      If you live a sedentary life and your ribs are giving you chronic pain you need to find a way to get the pain under control or eliminate it. I got help from medication to get it under control. I have noticed that chronic inflammation and rib instability doesn’t respond to ice or ibuprofen. certain antidepressants target chronic pain and/or gaba regulating medication has helped me. Once the pain is under control you might consider trying these therapies.
      The thing is, if you try these therapies before your pain is reduced, it could cause an inflammation cascade where your chronic pain proliferates and multiplies. The body won’t help you heal in this case but actually make the situation worse.
      You could try dry needling it’s cheapest. It does the same thing as prolotherapy and prp. Prolotherapy is an injection of sugar water. An irritant. Dry needling acts to irritate the area through a series of micro punctures. Prp is a mixture of an irritant and platelets that are processed from a sample of your blood. There are growth factors in prp that aim to provide additional healing for extra cost. Dry needling is cheapest prp is most expensive. If you notice any improvement with dry needling then maybe prolotherapy or prp could provide an extra benefit, but at least you would know that your body is responding to this concept.
      Risks of the procedure are minimal. Whoever you find will likely use an ultrasound to guide the needle into the controverse ligaments and facet joints. There can be nerve damage and increased pain. It depends on how old injuries respond to being triggered. If you get too many of these injections excess collagen/scar tissue can actually make your pain worse.
      I sit and wait after my ribs are triggered. Just walking. No lifting no jogging no vibrations tugging and pulling. Once I am pain free I work on stabilizer muscle groups, posture and band work/body weight exercise/ knee pushups. Once I am pain free doing this I gradually increase difficulty. But I won’t ever be lifting weights again.

    How does Prolotherapy compare to Platelet Rich Plasma injections?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  8 месяцев назад

      Prolotherapy is a nonsurgical regenerative injection technique that introduces small amounts of an irritant solution to the site of painful and degenerated tendon insertions (entheses), joints, ligaments, and in adjacent joint spaces during several treatment sessions to promote growth of normal cells and tissues. PRP is a type of Prolotherapy that takes your blood, like going for a blood test, and re-introduces the concentrated blood platelets from your blood into areas of chronic joint and spine deterioration. In short, PRP is a type of prolotherapy but just for cases that need that extra push! Hope this helps!

      I had chest pains come and go for months. I saw my cardiologist, and they did the works on me. My test were abnormal , so a CT of the heart was done. My CT was normal, but the CT scan picked up Bone Spurs on my thoracic. That explained the chest pains I was having. My pain radiated from my back to the front on my chest. I also have tailbone pain c-5 c-6 bulge disk. With all this going on back in 2013. I had a two level fusion, cervical. So, standing too long, sitting too long. Laying down on my back or on my side my back is always hurting, aching and very uncomfortable. I've just been tolerating my pain. My pcp did suggest trying injection on my back. But I feel like that would be just like a Band-Aid and not a cure. Once you have surgery anywhere on the spine, you're prone to have more in the future. 🙏🙏 for everyone going through back pain
