Any person that takes the time to do a dyi, regardless if its a video or written in a forum, is a God in my eyes lol
glerink thanks homie!
Thank you for posting this. I have a 08 F and my radiator busted yesterday. I'll be taking out the radiator in the morning and waiting on new radiator to arrive. Thanks for posting this couldn't have done it without your video.
Great video man. Greatly appreciated!! Video was good quality and good commentary. Keep them up!!
Good video, your amazing mechanic.
Great work man, I’ve changed a radiator on a friends F but not the water pump. Doesn’t look to painful
Thank you so much for your excellent video, unforunatly I m from France and it s it s a fabulous country but it s realy not when you love performance cars, my English is very poor so I can t understand all what you explain but the quality of your video is so good that hepl me for doing myself some job on my 2010 ISF, thank you thank you
Nice Job man! Thanks for sharing!
Bro you are awesome! Thank you for this video!
Awesome work. I have a ISF also and wanted to flush out the coolant. Can you do a detailed video on flushing out your cooling system?
Man you really have a video for everything, my radiator just bust like yours replacing it now
Good job man, with videos like this one for regual IS o ISF we can save a lot of money! do a video on how to get rid of VSC traction control light, and ABS
good job young man
Yo i replace water pump and thermostat my car is still overheating 2008 Lexus is250 should i change the radiator
Hey man. Thanks for this video. I’m needing to replace my alternator on my 08 ISF. Do you have a diagram where it’s at? Thank you. Love your videos.
Hi Lam Le This is a great video thanks
Can i ask a couple of questions
This looks like it would be similar to the IS250 if youre removing the radiator - is that right ?so you dont have to take off the front bumper to take out the radiator ?
Thanks 'Man'
Thanks for a great video
Great video
Amazing. For a performance luxury vehicle this looks no more difficult to work on than the old FJ80 Land Cruiser.
Great video bro 👍
My radiator just blew up on me today while at the park with my son, I thank you for this video, because I will be doing it myself now as soon as I get the radiator
Sorry to hear but you got this!!! Many others like yourself have done their own to save money and it’s worth it!
2006 is350, the car has 2 cooling fans, passengers side cooling fan in the radiator doesnt turn on, not even when i turn on the a/c. Is that normal, is it supposed to turn on when i turn on the a/c so it can cool the condensor...my cars a/c doesnt cool that much when idling , it cools alot when driving down the freeway only and pressures are good...?
Nice video!! I just ran into it. I hope you still mess with these lexus. I just ran into a huge project where I'm hoping you can help me. A relative of mine bought one from an auction and it seems like they took a lot of original parts. Example the ac high temp plug is missing and I can't see them anywhere. Also the radiator fan plugs aren't there. Instead they installed regular auxiliary fans.
good job!
hi,,, i want to do waterpump on my 08 is350..it has 107018 miles...wondering wat parts do i need to do the installation?from my personal knowledge are the followings...
PCV,,,Water pump main unit,Thermostat& gasket,,,Serpintine belt,,,Belt Tensener,,,Idler Pully,,,Coolant,,Coolant bypass O ring,,and Alumium Radiator..
Is that all the above correct Lam?
What if I spilled most of the transmission fluid? What’s the damage and what can be done to fix it right? I removed my Lexus ES 350 radiator and unplugged all the hoses. Didn’t know the transmission fluid was connected to the radiator and ended up spilling all that the hose had. Got any tips or information I can use?
Hey Lam, if I were to only do the water pump, can I skip lifting the car and emptying out any fluid, replace the water pump and refill the container with coolant?
Is this for the valley plate ? Trying to find a DIY for the ISF valley plate
Hi, I learned to replaced my water pump, Thank you so much for your videos. Btw,I where did you buy your radiator? Lam Le, You're so helpful to others.
Do you think this process is similar to the 2006 lexus gs300?
Hey man i was wondering where you got your radiator from? I recently experienced a leak on my 2011 at 116,xxx miles.
Is this the same type of work to be done on a is350 2011 ?
Lam le are you going to end up doing a video of changing the spark plugs on the isf before you sell it .,.?
Thank you! where did you get the parts?
Legend
Nice that they actually put the water pump on the outside of the block. On the 1uz all the accessory pulley's have to be taken off and you basically need access to the timing belt to be able to pull the water pump. Was kind of a pain in the ass.
12:39 you had the radiator cover out already why did u put it back in?
Where did you get the radiator parts?
why changing the waterpump if its still good ?
Hey Bro I Live In Orlando, I Have To Change My Radiator Too And Have The Exact Same Car! Video Is Very Helpful! Wish Me Luck🙏🏽
Hi Lam,
I really need your help on my IS 350 but I would like to email or text you if possible. How can I do that?
Brooooooooo thank you. I mean it
Will this process be closely similar to a regular is250 radiator replacement? I’m gonna be doing mine really soon and cannot find a single video on it. Thanks in advance
Yeah its similar I would say. Most toyota and lexus cars are designed similar.
Thanks for the video it helped a lot. I do have one question: I changed everything went well, but now I noticed the F will start for about a second and turn off. Anything you can think of what might be causing this?
maybe a battery terminal connection? only thing I can think of.
Please do a video of how to adjust the e brake on these cars. I just picked mine up Tuesday and really you are the one who sold me on this car(matador red)My e brake doesn’t do anything when engaged. Would love to see a video on how to adjust it.
Shadul Islam I haven’t looked into that problem on our cars. But if I find a solution, I’ll make a video
There's a little screw right on the e brake petal. turn the screw to adjust.
Same thing happened to myself ISF leaking along the seams order replacement just need to know what size bolts did you use to plug the transmission coolant lines.
Keep up the good work great videos
i'm sure it doesnt have to be an exact size. just big enough to plug it. doesn't even have to be a bolt. could be anything really haha
Ant T Thanks did it yesterday, I crimped the lines first then push in bolts didn't lose any oil from lines just from old radiator.
Was up man I need hlp with my is250 2006 lmk if u can answer one of my questions .
Quick question bro... the isf reservoir its the same for an is250? Because mine its broken so wanna know if theyre the same
Naza Iturbide I don’t believe so. This one was designed to clear the intake elbow on the isf
Did you ever have the valley plate issue on you isF yet?
I think they all do but I'm afraid to look. :)
Got a 2007 is250 and can’t find a radiator replacement video anywhere
I want to say that the process for the ISF and your IS250 may be the same. Maybe use this video as insight
Actually not to bad
When you see coolant hardening at the lower radar tube would you suggest it's time to replace it? The car right now has 40k miles on it
Andrew Coloma that’s quite odd for it to be leaking at such low miles. Maybe check the clamps?
Lam Le okay I'll check the clamps
Why is that dirty your car under the hood? I have an IS250 and never get too dirty like this....
Anyway, excellent video and very helpful!
Ádám Kenyeres that is the coolant spraying everywhere
You missed your water pump O ring?
rather than bolts to prevent loss of coolant in the transmission cooling lines, you can get hose pinchers
Ray Luu I didn’t have any pliers but I find the bolt method works well and reduce damage to the hoses
how many miles were you at when this happened? Im at 96k and contemplating on doing the water pump and thermostat not sure if its necessary at this time. what would you recommend and also around what mileage would it be wise to replace or possibly even upgrade the radiator
Around the same for this black ISF. My blue one blew around 115k miles.
@@KantstandlamGarage was it the water pump or the radiator that blew?
@@michaellavelle793 radiator. Both cars. Never heard of the water pump failing but since you’re already in there, might as well replace it you know? Plus it’s cheap compared to the radiator
Dam those isf are fucking beautiful
Thanks for your video, I also have a Lexus ISF in red. On my channel you can watch it. I will disconnect my ISF in the winder from the battery and have seen in your video that you disconnect the - pole and not the + pole. Thanks again. There are very few blue Lexus ISF in Europe how it looks in America.
All fine brother. Thanks for this video. I need to replace my starter in my Lexus v8 ISF 2007, can you help me where is it ?, Which side of the engine do you have the starter, the side of the tire left side of the engine or the tire side of the right, if I can remove the starter underneath or in the top of the engine? Love your videos.
Please, can anyone help me?
hei man . im thinking of getting an IS F . did you buy yours used ? any tips when buying one ?
KJV I own one and i bought it used if its over 100,000 miles make sure the starter is good because that cost me 2600 to replace and tires are costly cant rotate them pretty much if you daily drive it you’ll be replacing your tires every year dont buy cheap tires they dont last long go with the factory Michellens it comes with last longer had Kuhmos and Nitto tires and they last less than a year its a good reliable car but its really stiff ride and Maintenance is reasonable except the big things like brakes and engine stuff and make sure wheels are not bent thats $900 a piece for each wheel but of you can do the maintenance yourself youll save lots of money
KJV btw mines a 2008 and i bought it with 47,000 miles it now has 180,000 so itll last a long time im still driving it
@@mr.madden5333 Yes, I have a 2008 and I'm up to 210,000 miles. Take care of the IS-F and it will take care of your wallet.
how much does a job like this cost?? You want to replace mine for me too?? ill pay you
👍🏽
👍!
Is this pretty much the same process for the 08 is350?
Steven Castro is350 is alittle more difficult. The water pump is longer (more bolts) and there’s more to remove (injector control box) etc.
How about radiator removal and install ?
Steven Castro haven’t done mine yet, but should be similar. Probably have more room since it’s a V6, good luck!
Time for a detail man!
Look how dirty the cooling system is, whomever owns that should be ashamed of themselves, I could never let mine get that bad. Just a little routine maintenance would has saved them a lot of time and money.
First 😂
Dam bro your car is dirty!
What a crowded engine 🤔 i rather buy a 5 speed integra or civic 😁.. by the way you did a good job 🤗🤗🤗
Go buy u civic r integra.if a toyota lexus.wat u think i wud have a play ground in it .like ur dam honda civic .dumb fuck.u dnt no much abt cars like these
Great video man. Greatly appreciated!! Video was good quality and good commentary. Keep them up!!
