    sensor at the end of the video thats looks broken i think its the air temperature sensor which goes into the intake, follow the vacuum line out of the fuel pressure regulator that goes in to the intake. i may be wrong, good luck with the project

    Awesome video and great explanation, thanks for making this series! Did you get the engine to run correctly on the stand before install? I have a vr6 and you’ve inspired me to consider it as a swap

    @ Steven Harper, Hello Steve wow, I have to say this is some great engineering right here. It's amazing you started your engine out of the car like this in the shed. I have to ask. Can you please tell me the location of all the ground wires that go to your engine?
    I just replaced the engine in my VR6 and I need this to get done. Thank you.

      I think there just a ground strap to the chassis one to the ecu and fuse box . But I think all the wires end some where near the starter motor

      @@stevenharpervw From what I hear some people say theres five different ground wires on the 12 valve VR6 engine. The first one I know of is off the negative battery terminal which i think goes to the transmission. The second one is from coil module another three more that go behind the alternator. That's pretty much it

      @@Eurospec73 yeah I can’t remember them all but it’s only like 3 of 5 . It doesn’t take that many .

      @@stevenharpervw Yeah I wish I could get some pictures of this, I don't want to, just put these grounds anywhere, these cars are very strict and will only start up with the right connection.

    Have you found out what is wrong with M1/2 plug and the fuel pump? i'm having the same issue...

    • @stevenharpervw
      @stevenharpervw  4 года назад +1

      apesco5 I’m going to tackle it next week. I suspect there is a transistor inside the Vr6 ecu that’s gone bad. So might just Wire the the +12v to a relay that turns on with the key
