When I first saw videos of this game I was surprised when I heard Eriko sound exactly like Nancy from the Nancy Drew games, which of course its to be expected since both characters are voiced by Lani Minella.
Wow, Krism sounds a lot like a cougar (Minx) these days. That 'Baby Nomkin' she gave around the 20 min mark... I could have sworn blind it was Grandma Minx instead of Mumma Krism
I love this game so much for the campness of it all. It never takes itself seriously and that's what I love it. I'm still sad that they WERE planning on making a sequel but it didn't happen. It's such a unique game concept and it has so many silly but fun traps and events. Maybe one day someone could pick this idea up
There were actually quite a few different “medicinal” drinks made from powdering human parts and mixing them with water or alcohol. The embalmment process was believed to make Egyptian corpses more healthy for this use, but Irish skeletons were also commonly used for recipes that called for powdered bone.
The practice was called Mummia, parts of a mummy was ground into a dust and added to food or drinks to be used as a cure for certain ailments in the past.
I really love that Minx is so used to horror games that the ones supposed to be "scary" just makes her laugh instead. It's very contagious, now I find myself laughing when someone screams, because of the supposed "horror" scene. Especially with the funky face or unnatural/unrealistic scenes. I went to the movie theatre with friends, horror movie about satanic worshipper cult, and I was baffled why people kept screaming while I tried hard not to laugh. The Minx disease is real. It's REAL!
The toy section was so much fun! The lore! The insane worldbuilding! The censorship that just made it all funnier! Loved it and hell yeah I'd love to see Blue Stinger too!
I watched a full playthrough of this years ago where the guy got the best ending and went through the effort of showing every single scare. I have hoped for years Minx would play this. A comment offering for the youtube gods! So nom!
So glad to see a playthrough of this game that doesn't get ditched! The old one I would go back to was... well, very old and dated. They didn't say anything bad to my memory, it's just that it was part of a gaming magazine site or something and was posted I think when YT was newer. They just had some dated references. Was good, but now I have new one. BTW, if you want more crazy stuff like this, the peeps behind this game made a Resident Evil-like before making this called "Blue Stinger". It features a character swapping system that works WAY BETTER than the one here (done on-the fly for different perks and weapons), and instead of zombie body horror it is dino-to-human body horror with some other grotesqueries as well. The dialog is also worse than Illbleed, so it should be worth a laugh.

I can actually see the "inspiration" that Until Dawn got from this and I rather not elaborate on that.... The Supermassive team did a nice job making something out of this wacky-ass horror game honestly what the fuck was this? And I thought Terror’s Realm was tripping-balls… You guys really want to make Minx suffer, she could've enjoyed Metro Redux instead of whatever the fuck this is, that game is great! Choices actually matter, fuck you Telltale.
i remember when i told my friend, that i ate soup with a fork and he was so mad. like he was aggressively offended mad about it and it's not hard to eat soup with a fork. you just eat the bits with the fork then drink the rest from the bowl. and he was just so mad about it. like offended mad.
Comment for to be glad games have gotten past that.. level of painfulness in the actual play and logic. Engagement is knowing that the Bickering Biddies are doing something positive and good for future generations, recording this pain to help inform their future and hopefully keep it from sucking as badly or worse.
Also as much as I love this game... GOSH the tutorial doesn't help AT ALL. Like you need an actual guide to understand EVERYTHING before playing. I mean they don't even mention that you gain some heart rate EVERY TIME you use the horror monitor. So yeah, they punish you for using the ONLY thing you have to try and raise your survivability 😂. This game need some tweaks
