I've used SD-1s, including the Wazacraft edition, since the 80s. Along with the ProCo Rat and Ibanez Tube Screamer, it's one of my favorite dirt pedals of all time. I absolutely love it. It's worth its weight in gold.

Also for any Queens Of The Stone Age fans out there; The SD-1 is rumored to be one of Josh Homme's "Secret Weapons"; He uses it with the "GAIN" all the way down, and the "TONE" and the "LEVEL" all the way up to push his Ampeg Bass amps into their own natural Overdrive/Distortion...
Evidently he WANTED a TREBLE BOOSTER, but couldn't find or afford one, so he just cranked the "TONE" knob on his trusty SD-1; The MORAL of the story? Use what you've got!

I'm surprised no one else has commented it yet, but the Boss SD-1 is ALMOST identical to the Maxon/Ibanez TUBESCREAMER, the only difference is the CLIPPING part of the circuit; One uses symmetrical clipping, and one uses asymmetrical clipping, but I won't say which is which, LoL... Also that thing sounded great with the bridge pickup and the "Tone" turned up!

Any concern about the sunlight or temp from the window with the guitar rack right in front of it?

Those are actually black curtains and there isn't as much light coming through as it seems in the video and the central air is keeping the temp at a good level. Thanks for the concern for my guitars safety though. Lol.

Ok, that makes me feel better. Enjoy listening to your rambling about guitars.
