    FOR SALE! 1969 Boss 429 Mustang in Mint restored condition at Fusion Luxury Motors Mustang Connection
    single ownership from 1976, this car has undergone a ground-up restoration. The car stored without motor for 33 years, then purchased by MCA president Jeff Mayes last year for its current owner. It was found in excellent condition- just needing paint and freshening. It features all-original, zero-rust sheet metal as well as mostly original interior, including like-new original dashboard and door panels. The carpet and seat covers have been replaced. All suspension has been re-used, except for replacement shocks and tires. Original matching-numbers Boss 429, original matching-numbers 4-speed manual transmission, original matching-numbers rear-end housing with correct paper axle tag, correctly detailed original carburetor, fuel pump and water pump. Original seatbelts restored and date-coded by Python, undercarriage correct to every detail, stamp and part number. Car still retains the original one-year-only front brake rotors. The oil pan, drive shaft, water pump and alternator have been restored by prominent Boss 429 shop Dead Nuts On. Additional details include proper concours-correct power steering hoses, Ford script headlights, proper Group 29 Autolite battery with vent tubes and original battery cable. It even has correct-date-coded heater hose clamps, smog equipment and exhaust with all-correct part numbers. The front spoiler was never installed. The level of detail and originality on this car is exceptional. Documentation includes a copy of the 1976 title and Deluxe Marti report. 19,500 miles, (title reads exempt).

    Stunning car. It fits right in with those high end sports cars around it. People didn't know what they were buying back in 69. What a steal at that price. I was not aware of the Mach 1 info though. Thanks for the video.

      MustangConnection1 Started messing with it again this week. I dropped off the hood hinges and latch to be sand blasted yesterday. I posted a new video of my fender fitment issues but I'm going to get my hood on and then try again. Thanks Rich.

      The same could be said for any survivor vs. restored car....unless the build is properly documented.

    Rich does the positive battery cable run through the inside of the car to get to the trunk ? or under the car ? looks like it enters the car through the firewall

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад +1

      +huck01955 Joe, Great question, I am not 100% sure. I am guessing it runs with the rest of the wire loom to the back which is inside the car underneath the scuff plates and carpet over the wheel well into the truck.

    • @huck01955
      @huck01955 8 лет назад

      Thanks Rich I wont to mount a battery in the trunk of my car but I dont see a safe place to run the cable under the car . I did one for a friend but was able to run through the frame connectors . I would do the same on mine but there sealed

    I own a numbers matching 1969 fastback which I drive daily in summer.. it boggles my mind to think if my car came with that engine in it that it would go for north of 300k... it's pretty ridiculous.. to be honest.

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад +1

      +GunfightersINC Yes these specialty Mustangs bring crazy money that is for sure even with 90 % of the same DNA as other Mustangs from the same year. It's all about rarity and condition which sparks the demand.

  • @alwayspete
    @alwayspete 7 лет назад +4

    Even if someone invented a time machine, went back and got this car today brand new it wouldn't cost this much! Ridiculously overpriced! $220,000 to $280,000 is the real range even at the auctions. If you're looking for power & performance, you could get a Jon Kaase BOSS 557 in Raven Black around $160,000. I know this deal that went down in 2012. I'm sure it didn't even take one forth of the asking price to restore this car. And it looks like the left hand door, next to the door handle has a gap, is not in line. As long as you have the money, go break some eggs and get milked! I'd settle for a 428 R code Drag pack that can beat the stock BOSS 429 any day, anywhere. This is a $450,000 highly detailed picture frame. So surely no one's going to enjoy riding it down the ROAD. Hence at the most a great museum piece! Cheers to the one who buys it!!! Nice detailed video. Thanks for this.
    Pete :")

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  7 лет назад +1

      Yes most of these at this level of restoration will not see any street time, just a fact of their rarity . Someone will eventually buy it, at $450k hard to say but it will sell. Thanks for checking it out and leaving a detailed comment, always appreciated.

    love the car but 449k is way too much cash for a boss 9..not even a raven black 69 boss 9 went for that at a recent auction and that's a rare find alone...nice car but they just want way too much

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад

      +2012omar302 It is a big number but they are confident they will find a buyer. I have been at auction and see them hammer as high as 500k but that was 7-8 years ago.

    • @2012omar302
      @2012omar302 8 лет назад +1

      +MustangConnection1 in my opinion I don't see how they will get that much for that boss 429. Mecum auction sold several boss 429s this year not one sold for the amount there asking even with fees that the auction house charges. there was a Raven black 69 boss 429 hammered at 200,000 and black is the rarest color you can get. but hey it's a really nice boss 429 thanks for putting up on RUclips.

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад

      +2012omar302 Yes it is top dollar for a Boss 429 but they have a pretty high end clientele so who knows.

      Until They Get A Proper Alignment on DRIVERS DOOR,Where It Isn't t Even Flush W/ Rear Quarter,It Won' t Sell for That To A Buyer That is Particular.& For That Kinda Money,Deserves REAR WINDOW SLATS,Whether It Came W/ Them or Not. BEAUTIFUL SHOWPIECE ,IF DRIVERS DOOR IS ALIGNED CORRECTLY.WHEN U MENTIONED EAST COAST REFURBISHER,WONDER IF MCA JUDGE THAT RESTORES THE BOSS 302' S AROUND MIDWEST MIGHT HAVE BEEN RESTORER.

      Good luck replacing all kinds of O-rings because they are in the head . Ford engineers told us to use bathtub calking (Silicone) when we pulled the heads off . 1970 they put them in the block . That thing sounds like it lost it's prime when you started it the first few times ? I would like to look at the bearings and cam lobes before I buy a Thrashing Machine like that . It scares me !

    My brother had one the same color in 1976. It was lacquer, so not that shiny. I hated the color. Same interior but a nascar plate as you opened the door. It was set up for a roll bar. I do remember walking for gas on the one road trip. It still had a tiny gas tank. I believe it was getting about 4mpg. I was the one who walked for gas in the Texas oil patch. Yep. As if a gallon were enough! But it was. It was terrifyingly fast. Replaced by a Porsche 930 (911) turbo. Equally terrifying and maybe faster. More nimble. Like my brother, I love German cars and muscle cars. 😍😍😍

    What a waste. I know these cars are Uber rare and sought after, but all that money and you can’t even do anything with it except hope the next will want to pay more for it or your garage doesn’t burn down. Nobody will ever really drive this thing. All this collector crap. When the world runs out of boss 429s and boss 302, and K codes, they’ll turn to numbers matching C code coupes with original documentation. LOL!

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  5 лет назад

      I hear what you are saying but these cars were never very street-able even when brand spanking new. I see comments like this all of the time, same for cars not restored and sitting in barns or fields etc. That being said, other than car shows, and I live in L.A. I never see any old cars being daily driven. So the notion that some how they are being wasted seems inaccurate. As with any item that becomes collectible beyond it's functionality, in this case an old car, it's about protecting the investment.

    • @fireguy8466
      @fireguy8466 5 лет назад +1

      Yeah...your right. I said what I said as a car guy that would jump at something like this, but will never be able to even come close to knowing what it would be like to drive one of those. Guess I’m salty too at the fact that it seems everything is getting so over priced that cars that weren’t desirable at all 20 years ago are starting to become expensive. I’m just stuck in the past and at one point that was same case for these cars. Beautiful car though and thanks for the reply.

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  5 лет назад

      @@fireguy8466 I hear you all the way, I do think they are way overpriced too. Think about this car, you can buy a loaded '19 Turbo Porsche for that kinda dough that will put way more smiles on your face as you drive it.
