You should see them in person. Massive is an understatement. These were sent off by Ford to have the fenders and shock towers modified to even fit it so you can't just swap one of those in another mustang of the same year without extensive professional work or backyard hack job
Beautiful cars. Do you guys have a car show going on between November 10 and November 18? I hope so cause I would like to just come see the cars as a spectator. I’m from Michigan and I have a 73 Mustang Mach 1 and a 2012 Shelby GT500 and love Mustangs. Thanks
Thanks Rich, super cool car. My Mustang Club was there Southern Arizona Mustang Club, I was not. I have been to this show but this year I was in DC. What are you working on?
@@MustangConnection1 I swear I I think you were at one of these shows and it was quiet a while back you asked him that a real boss 429 and he said yeah does burn outs and everything. I dont know maybe confusing you with the guy from mustang medic🤔🤔🤔
I would drive it as much as possible. What's the point of owning a car like that to just hoard in your garage and look at it. These cars were built to be driven
@@alanwoodruff7185 Could be, I have seen consecutive unit cars before with similar specs. Since the 69 Boss '9's only came in select colors that is very likely. Black Jade, Black, White, Red, Maroon if memory serves.
I believe KK1399 was the last S code built with hydraulic cam,I pulled the cam and put in a Ford Performance solid lifter 580 lift 332 duration from Homan Moody Junior 2 1/4 headers Hurst shifter 4:86 gears, traction bars from Lake Wood had a distributor tune put on it and rejeted the carb, can't r ember if I went with a bigger carb or not although looking back I should have went with a dual carb set up. I took it to the drag strip twice went low 12s 118mph. But my pashen was street racing late at night, against 427 Camaros 440 Darts 426 Cudas it was a special time in my life I will never forget. Then of course came that special girl in my life, she loved racing like I did and would support me in buying many muscle cars over the years until she passed in 2005, it was a great hobby and I made great money doing it. I have 1 car left a 19681/2 Lincoln Mark III one owner car 50,000 ordinal miles car.
Favorite mustang of all 69 boss 9
Beautiful Boss! What makes it even more beautiful is the fact that he drives it often and fought for custody of it. Great story. Thanks Rich!
Without a doubt! Thanks!
That 429 really fills up that engine bay 👍

Absolutely love a 69 boss9. Definitely my all time dream car.
I was at this show and had a nice conversation with the owner as well. Really cool to see a survivor Boss 429 that’s not a garage queen!
This gentleman makes me think there's still hope for humanity. Take care:)
That s a dream Mustang, that's for sure!
Holy grail care for sure. One of my favorite flavors of Mustang.
No kidding !!
Very cool survivor. Good to see you back, Rich.
Thanks George, stay tuned just got back from SEMA
Great video. I know Marc, and his car is quite special!
A great owner for a great car indeed.
Good to see this great car being driven oftenly.
Rich thanks for taking the time to film an share the car with us
Thanks for watching Joe!
Black Jade my favorite. I remember my Grandparents had that same Stereo in their '78 LTD.
I have seen some new cars, not Ford, but Lexus has brought back a very dark metallic green.
Detuned 429 with huge ports for nascar 375 hp ( interesting to reach its full potential re: headers double pumper carby heads racing
I'm here after watching "John Wick".
What a beautiful car!
Love from India.
Even though Wick's car was called a Boss 429 in the film, it was actually a Mach1.
@@joshrandall5297 Any real Ford guy would see this wasn't a Boss 429 right off the bat! Wrong scoop! Probably a 351.

Beautiful car!
Didn't you film this boss 429 before in the past ?
Good eye but it was a similar one at Ponies at the Pike. Marc mentioned their is a similar car to his up in the L.A. area.

Did they put the Nascar dry sump oiling system in any of those street cars?
They did not, just that remote oil cooler mounted on the radiator core support.
@@MustangConnection1 was wondering because I actually machined a few of the front dry sump magnesium castings several years ago in my shop.

Owned KK 1349 brand new April 1969 also Black Jade car Lansing Michigan
Alan, very cool!
There's a possibility they ran a bunch of Black Jade cars together that day ?
