I'm at 120mg been at that dose for about 4yrs. Did H and F for over 10yrs. I been off illegal drugs since Dec 3 2017. The relief i got from the first dose was beyond belief. I was withdrawing so bad for almost 3 weeks. Hardly slept or ate anything for that entire time. I lost so much weight, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I couldn't take anymore so went and got help. I wish my 2 best friends were still around and could've went with me for treatment. Thanks to my counselor Ed I'm still here and never touched any drugs since.
I was on 90 for awhile. I’ve been doing opiates/opioids for over a decade (I’m almost 30) I’ve been through the traditional pharma pills when they were legit, real heroin phase, early fent days, and I just quit after I moved closed to Philly ironically and was exposed to tranq dope. I was on 90mg methadone for awhile then relapsed on fent and I was mixing my methadone, fentanyl & pressed 30s with rc and or normal benzos.. I ended up going to 120mg (the highest this rehab that does methadone maintence will let you be on) and just rode that out till now. I was still so sick basically the whole time in rehab still just on the 100-120mg.. now it’s more than enough. I attribute it being so bad because of using ontop of the methadone for one. Second you’re going to feel uncomfortable regardless and third and most importantly. That’s the first time I developed a serious benzo habit and tried out crazy pressed rc bars.. the withrdawls mixed with the fent w/d’s probably made it x10 worse
Guys although methadone is a temporary life saver. It's a horrible drug I. Itself the side effects of low energy cravings sweets zero sex drive constipation. We're not worth it for me personally

I've tapered successfully before my only advice when you get 1mg only take a few doses and just quit my withdrawals honestly were worst on 1mg then they were my 1st few days with no methadone!! It’s crazy how sick methadone makes u considering you do not get high from it u just feel normal , though u do sleep really good on it and nod from it every once in a while yet the lows from it is the deeeeepest valley on earth lowest of the lows lol… 😂 It’s all good so long as u have it but When or if u DONT HAVE IT THOUGH OMG 😱 it’s like the worlds ending, u get sooo ruthlessly sick and depressed, 5 minutes feels like 5 hours a day or two feels like a week time just stays still. U get nauseous very sick to your stomach to where if u move u feel like you’re gonna puke, u have to pee every 5 minutes, everything hurts or is sore even ur teeth. Hot cold while cold sweating and u cannot get comfortable to save your life your legs are running a marathon that doesn’t exist lol 😂. Your heart is going 110MPH beating out your chest, you have absolutely no energy zero just walking to the bathroom feels like a mile…. And the worst thing by far is you CANT SLEEP AT ALL you’re up to feel every second of it, if u do happen to fall asleep for literally 3/4 minutes u wake up covered in sweat n u wake up feeling like your gonna jump out of your clammy nasty skin. It’s the worst feeling I’ve Ever experienced!!!

I was down to 7mg and relapsed so I had to go back up. I’m at 150mg now and I feel so hopeless about getting back to that point again 😔 Every single day is a struggle. I know exactly what you mean about how a switch goes off. The first day I felt “good” after the withdrawal from H is indescribable. I felt like I was experiencing everything for the first time like I couldn’t wait to just go out and live. Hearing this is so motivating though, so I appreciate the post❤
It's still possible. Remember if you can get down to 60 or 40 mg especially 40 mg you can do the Bernese message cross taper to get on Suboxone and then be able to get on the subtle cage shots and I have many friends that have had years of being clean off everything from the sublocade shots. I'm sure you know it's easy to come down 5 mg a week when you're at 140 or 150 especially until you get down to about 40 mg or so. If you need any help or any tips I've been there done that everything message me. Either way God bless you 🙏

What people shouldn’t do is abuse methadone. Doctors do not recommend quitting cold turkey. I’m proud of this guy but it’s very dangerous spreading this like it’s something anyone should be doing.

These days if you get down to 40 mg you can cross taper to get on Suboxone for a week or two and then get on the sublocade shots which most people don't need more than three or four and they're done for life completely done for life and not just thrown into horrible withdrawals ever. Let's see if gradually over time and when you're on the shots you feel normal it's amazing. God bless you 🙏
I got on methadone 3/3/17. Went up to a 100 mgs and got there about 2 months in and stayed there for about 3 1/2 years. Started the taper down about 3 years ago. I’m on 9 mgs, and when I got to about 25-30 mgs, the first symptom that I get, is the RLS lol. Of course it’s the most annoying symptom and that’s really the only symptom I ever got, until now, where I’m actually within the last few hours of being able to take my next dose, I vomited for the first time ever. I did start smoking pot again for the first time in 6 1/2 years of abstaining, and it seems to help pretty well. But because I’ve awakened, I’m wondering why I don’t just get my last set of doses and never go back? Just ride it out now that I’ve gotten low enough to be able to hopefully withstand the withdrawals. Idk if I’ll be having every single symptom I got when I was on heroin, but I know the withdrawal process is a long one. I think I’m just gonna pick up my skirt and attack it head on cold turkey very soon. I’ve gotta prepare myself for this cuz everyone is afraid to death if withdrawal and you’re lying if you say otherwise. So I figured I’d see if I could find something inspirational to push me over the edge… I need that rn.

Nobody should even dare to be at such a high dose for a long time and try to quit cold turkey. I know people who tried it at way lower dosages and they were very close to death. A girl even tried to kill herself at the 14th day because of the evil withdrawals. Don't do this!
My story is crazy. I was given duds for like 1 month. Didnt know, i go to the clinic & test .. no fentanyl on my system . I start methadone , after fay 3 i think about it im like if i dont have any fentanyl in my system cus i was goven fake pills for a month shouldnt i quit..doctor said no (im like why is he tryna keep me on if im twlling him i feel fine) so i quit...and heres day 2 of quiting will keep yall updated .
That's crazy. I started treatment about 2 weeks ago. I'm up to 50mg now but it took a good 10 days before I really started to feel an improvement. The 20 to 30mgs were barely touching my Fent wds. I know it needed time to build up but Fent is an entirely different beast than when there was H around. I remember I could take a sub 16 hours after H and get relief. No matter how many times I tried to get off the Fent using subs I would go through precip wd. Didn't matter how many different ways I tried to introduce it back into my system. My buddy got the shot but has been using again lately and he says it punches right through the sublocade and he started to experience wds again. The doc said I also had Bupe in my system which someone had to put into the Fent. What an idiotic thing to do. I do remember certain bags burning weird. That's crazy that you didn't experience wds with the bogus Fent. I wonder if it was some kind of other opiate? I do believe there is a placebo effect to using. Even when Im going through wd and get that bag in my hand I'll start to feel better before I even use. I also think it's easier to quit when I have some saved and put away where I cld use if I needed. I seem to be able to go a lot longer without when I know it's there. There's definitely a mental aspect to all of this
150mg here. And rising it doesn't work like it used to. I know that we build a tolerance but damn . I know people that would take 150 mg they would be on the floor. It doesn't even make me drowsy
After my taper I have very little withdrawal, the problem was that I felt completely lost. Remember driving to a record store I loved, & couldn’t get out of the car, the world felt so abrasive, & I had no idea what to do with myself. I remember looking forward to going back to work on Sunday because it was familiar. There was no joy, & nothing to look forward to… I eventually went back to self medicating & instantly everything fell back in place. It was like I’d been wet & cold outside for 2 months, & suddenly I came back inside, & took a warm shower. You have to have a support system, also take an SSRI at least initially, & consider a naloxone implant if you can afford it. It’s not like being on methadone, feeling comfortable won’t be a given like it is now. You might even hang out at 20mg for a month, then 10mg, then 5mg…. Being completely isolated (no wife, no kids around), I had a hard time. I’ve been on it since 2006 (I went right back after my taper in 08’).
im 7 months off methadone and still have some lingering symptoms but i was on a high dose for 14 years, my gf tapered from 23mg very slow and jumped off at 5mg and she was all good in just a month.
We've had three deaths in the Thurston county in nisqually county jail just from fentanyl withdrawal and that was the only thing in their systems. But hey I'm glad you know what you're talking about God bless you 🙏

135 mg and go cold turkey and them he say after 16 days he feel better 😅 i was in methadone for 19 years in 90 mg i start to go down 1 mg a week and when a get to 35 the whitdraws start kicking me so i stop for couples weeks to get to 5 mg and take the jump to years past ,to do the story short its been 15 months since i get out of methadona and i still feel like shit, i feel all the whitdraws symptoms ,this shit take for ever to get out of your body..
A lot of ppl say this but actually you can especially if you have underlying health conditions. I actually seen someone die in County Jail from. Detoxing from a high dose of methadone
You most definitely can if you have underlying health conditions especially if you have a bad heart. I seen a girl in jail fall and hit her head on the concrete from detoxing from methadone cuz she was so dehydrated & she unfortunately died.. Ya jails don't give a fuck!!
I’m currently(well was I guess now lol) on 70mg. I went cold turkey on Monday December 11th (so yes. Literally 9 days ago) I’m STRUGGLING. Been 220 hours total now and I had no fricken CLUE three days ago I would be feeling WORSE THAN AT THAT POINT
@@verajohannesen1826don't be scared. You will make it. I am 8 months out and it's uncomfortable for a while but doable. The fear is the worst part. Just handle what comes 1 day at a time. It's not all bad. You do get some breaks in between

Can you dose in Somalia! I do not request that you cold turkey! Slowly taper or switch to subs but u have to get down to at least 30mg to switch! Good luck with everything!

I was on 155 milligrams and had to go down to 110 no taper. Because my EKG cane back not good. And it took me two years for my body to even ajust to that dose. So jumping off cold turkey with only 16 days sick, nope dont buy it.

17 days sounds like BS took me 120 days in rehab at 95 mg cold turkey and went through PAWS for a year

@@verajohannesen1826don't be scared. You will make it. I am 8 months out and it's uncomfortable for a while but doable. The fear is the worst part. Just handle what comes 1 day at a time. It's not all bad. You do get some breaks in between

Can you dose in Somalia! I do not request that you cold turkey! Slowly taper or switch to subs but u have to get down to at least 30mg to switch! Good luck with everything!

I was on 155 milligrams and had to go down to 110 no taper. Because my EKG cane back not good. And it took me two years for my body to even ajust to that dose. So jumping off cold turkey with only 16 days sick, nope dont buy it.

I've had a friend that was much higher than that and she did it successfully.. So yes it is possible but most ppl can't do it..
