I bought a Badlands 2200 for $450. It was way to small. Then bought a giant cheap 70L pack to find the size I needed for $140. All this because I was NOT spending $800 on a backpack! Used my second stimulus check and spent $900 to get the best pack. I dont spend any more money on packs. Buy once, cry once is exactly it. Like Aaron says, if your not packing meat out of the back country, don't buy my backpack. Its a quad axle dump truck for your back. Good luck.
I think we've all tried to go the budget route at one point but I've never heard one person regret getting a solid but pricey pack. Glad you are enjoying yours too!
@DeerandDonuts what the hell does that even mean? You didn't enjoy them? It's s pocket with a zipper nothing to enjoy or not enjoy just use them and move on. There is zero issue stealing a tripod to the pack, tripod on one side rifle on the other go hunt., no problem , maybe you don't know what your doing?
Idk what to tell you, I would prefer the standard bungee side pockets to these zippered ones. My tripod, along with many others, don't pack down to under 20 inches that would be needed to close these zippered pockets. Again these are just my personal preferences.

Stuff ur extra socks and puffer at the bottom of either side pocket then use them for spotter and tripod, quick access, works perfect. Great pack.

Are you serious ? I have zero issues strappimg my tripod to the side of the pack .
To each their own. I didn't love the small side zips but I can see others enjoying it.

Top loading sucks . You will regret that , digging through all your sruff all the time sucks . 😊
It actually hasn't been that bad, EXO Mtns bags are top load but also has a side zipper. It's been the best of both worlds.
