twitch really likes to go overboard with their rules. I.e. gamechat on your stream that you have no control over and your discord server that isnt even owned by twitch. They need to chill tf out with their overreaching
Most of the time they won’t do anything about it. They only step in if for whatever reason the incident goes viral (or someone manually reports it) because then they’ll be forced to take a stance. They do this with a lot of stuff they don’t normally enforce just so you don’t complain on the rare occasion they actually have to enforce a rule. That is a tricky question, Terms of service uses the term "Self-Destructive Behaviour" when referencing drugs. It says that any action that could endanger your life or others is against terms of service. This includes excessive drinking, and drug taking. Which could really mean that encouraging illegal drug use, or admitting to illegal drug use could be in trouble. Some streamers who live in countries or states where marijuana is legal do smoke on stream, however they need to write and make it very clear they are in a legal state or it could lead to a ban from staff members who are unsure. With all of this in mind, I'd say it is all about your phrasing and how you paint drugs. If you are encouraging them, you will most likely be in trouble. If you are discussing how to quit, and it is clearly a help stream then I'd say you're fine. Better safe than sorry on these topics with Twitch.
The part about being responsible for other's speech is annoying, and it's not even really specific to Twitch. Not being able to have hard discussions with or about people who have awful views is stifling to public discourse, and it's becoming harder and harder to even talk about these things online because of how paranoid all the major platforms are about superficially pissing off mindless, spineless, know-nothing advertisers. It's really disturbing how more and more channels that discuss history, philosophy, and politics have to _censor_ out swastikas and the word, "Nazi" for fear of angering the great algorithm :/ This is what happens when Pepsi gets to dictate what we talk about and bases their standards upon whether or not vapid, shallow, and spiteful click bait article writers can create empty outrage by showing 5 seconds of video where a historical film clip of a Nazi rally transitions into an advertisement for cola. You know, despite the fact that an American soft drink advertisement plastered all over Nazi symbolism is probably the biggest middle finger society could ever possibly give to them.

i’m not completely sure, but i think they’ll look it over and the other person would eventually get banned or suspended. you might get suspended for a bit but if you act immediately and get them out of the VC, you should be in the clear. i’m not an expert but if they ban your for someone else’s stream language, that shouldn’t be fair especially if it was out of character for them. this is just what i think, i’m not 100% sure though.

My wife made a mistake, she said a word that she shouldn't when reading her chat, it was hidden in a question and we found out the guy made a clip. I hope she doesn't get in trouble, especially since she's just started. I feel I failed to her 😥

Hi Alexandros! I'm using Cloudbot, its built into streamlabs obs, so if you're using streamlabs, all you have to do is go to your Dashboard on the left click "Cloudbot" It will take you to mod tools, which you just need to turn on the filters you need. If you don't use Cloudbot, but you DO stream on Twitch, go to your stream dashboard, go to preferences > Click moderation and you'll find AutoMod Ruleset, which you can set to level 1 or higher to turn on. You can also add blocked words in this section of your Dashboard.

3) We change settings on who can do clips.
I hope she doesn't get in trouble, especially since she's just started. I feel I failed to her 😥
I wouldn't change your clip settings, that just hurts your ability to make content in the future.
Just delete the VoD, delete the clip, and make sure your Auto-mod settings are up to date to catch bad words. :)
@Stream Scheme after the clip purge, I don't bother with it any more.
Some make clips, but not like before.
Probably only limit mods to make clips/post clips.
4:37 I have two more tips
Before I get to that tho
THERE IS A STUPID FLY IN THE ROOM THAT I NEED TO KILL FIRST
What about stuff like "that scene" in Last of Us 2 or stuff drawn genitals when people play Jackbox Party Pack? I had a friend playing who kept drawing stuff like "bellend Barry" which while we all thought it was highly amusing.. I couldn't figure out if it was against ToS.. I do have the stream set to "mature audiences" but still
I would like to know as well
This is very helpful cuz I want to stream and thanks to this, I can be careful with my words and I'll tell my friends to don't say the bannable words so that I don't get banned

You also can get banned for just implying these things or if one of them can be taken the wrong way.
Such as double/tripple entendres.

Whole YRG getting banned
im trying to find a bannable list to put those words in, nand the bot hes talking about to set up, if any1 knows any plz share
@@StreamScheme using twitch studio
Love these videos - so helpful
I’m glad! :)
My first month streaming. Didn’t have a camera at first. Didn’t know if I could swear on twitch(I never watched streams before). So I convinced my girlfriend (she’s a strong worded women) we will no longer be swearing in the house. Now I have a camera and I’m smoking joints on live calling other people ****** if I lose to them. I will probably get banned lol
seen you were apart of the drip squad
This can be hard being a VRchat twitch streamer when you go to public worlds and your around 20 to 30 people who wouldn’t know your streaming.
Then either don’t do live-streaming with the public/have a private world or have a RUclips, where you can make compilations and edit anything out that would be deemed offensive or inappropriate
@@Sketchkat Thats what I had imagined at first but you never know whats going to happen since a live stream is literally live while its happening (Plus I dont have enough friends to not go to publics ;( )
I just started streaming so this is gonna be helpful
