- WOW this is probably one of the best mods i've done so far!! Power to accessories at the touch of a button! All work done on a 2015 RAM 1500 Express Crew cab 4x4. This is the starting point to badass 👉 👌 👊 💪 / 4wheelelectronics

I just got mine, slightly different. The inside wire is a separate wire now that plugs into a connection for the box. The benefit is the wire going through the firewall has one small connector that connects to the second wire that is inside that has the two connectors and connects like yours.

The green connector u use for 4x4 is the same for the 8 speed as well when I installed the trailer brake controller I noticed the green connector was missing until I looked at my rotary shifter

Thank you, they only stay on when the door is open or the dial for the interior lights is set to on.

Bro how did you get a 2015 Ram that has the actual column shifter and not the knob?!?! It's like impossible to find a newer ram without that dumb ass knob. Bad ass for sure!
The six speed was still available all the way to 2016 I believe.

Do you ever want to get the new huge tesla style radio? I have the 2014 Bighorn package although not much bighorn if you ask me other than outside chrome and the badass radio with nav. I am wanting the aftermarket tesla style new ram style radio. Waiting for a trusted youtuber to install for me though lol. I watch boostedmotorsports and you as far as ram mods go. Just curious. I am doing the floor lights for sure. Boosted is force airing his Ram as I know you keep an eye on his channel. You ever think of this? Anyway thumbs up for ya hope yall can deal with my beer buzzed post all running together.

Just curious if your express has a 160amp alternator? My 2017 only has the 160. Supposedly the factory 180amp alternator is installed on some trucks to support the lights on trailers their towing. I wonder if our 160amp alternators will be able to support a handful of aux lights and trailer lights (for those that tow).
What do you think? Is the 160 amp alternator good enough for the power draw of a trailer and/or a bunch of added auxiliary lights??
There’s a 160, 180 and 220 plus. 160 will be more than enough. If it is not than the swap is easy and cheap no problem. I don’t see me running rock lights, air compressor etc while towing across country.
I have a lot of added draw to my 2014 ram 1500 sport. 1200 watt amp to 2 10” alpine type r, 400 watt amp to door/ dash speakers. 5.6” flip down tv for the rear passengers, 4 after market fog lamps, 20” light bar, I tow a trailer with lights and a 12k lb winch. And some other small draws here and there and I’ve never had an issue with the alternator keeping up with power. So I think you would be good.
The best mod you can do, is put the factory large screen with navigation. You’re going to thank me.

RIchard Perez best mod you can do is throw that garbage 8.4 with no rca outouts for amps away and replace it with an alpine 8” X208U with 3 sets of rca outputs, and can control 8 different electronic devices on/off by just touching the icon on the touchscreen.
