I met Chaka in England because I worked in Covent Garden. I saw her in a store and waited until she finished shopping with a male friend of hers. Then I approached her and she was glad to see another black American. She liked the fact that I worked for First Chicago London Office since Chicago was her hometown. We chatted for about 30 minutes. She was very easy to talk to. On the other hand, I was in arms length of Tina Turner at the Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg, SA. I lived there for 2 years; but, did business for 5 years. Tina was very aloft. She sat alone with some security guy to make sure no one approached her. I didn't say anything to her either even when she made eye contact. However, I did talk to her beautiful dancers the twins girls. They were fun.

That's what made the song so catchy.

out for fooling her. Prince don’t care one bit, he just wanted to meet her and vowed he would write a hit song for her... but she liked “I Feel For You” and later she decided to remake that song from the “Prince” album... She didn’t like the rap portion by the way.... I love Chaka!!!

smittysmobile Pimp the S.I.M.P with Rick James and Grandmaster Flash was on his album Cold Blooded which came out in 1983, a year before Chaka’s version of I Feel For You, which by the way had Melle Mel of Grandmaster Flash doing the rap part. Pimp the S.I.M.P was never released as a single though. And Loosey’s Rap with Roxanne Shanté came out in 1988.
