After getting extremely sick while traveling in the Philippines, I spent the past 30 days working out and dieting like Chris Hemsworth using his new app Centr. Should I go for 60 days??
I watch vids but never copy them because I just pick up a few new things here and there and other than I just listen to my body (aka find a part that isn't sore and work that out so everything is sore all the time).

Well as he said, he was injured and was letting himself go as well. Now, he also said he was in the worst shape of his life, meaning he had worked out before and built a solid physique. Most people don’t know the power of muscle memory, being that someone who had a impressive body, then lost it can retain such body in an incredible short time. So, no, most cannot make such impressive progress so quickly. Do not be discouraged, just work hard and diet well and you will get there.
not a big transformation for someone who has muscle memory imo. I think ordanary people will even do better after the 30 days. you would see alot more difference
I respect his performance and dedication but it's pretty obvious that lighting and after workout swelling play an important part in the after-30-days shape. Again, not hating, just stating visible elements.
Just to put it in perspective I stopped benching for 3 months due to a shoulder injury, when I started again i struggled with 135x5. Three weeks later I just hit 215x5 with a rep or two in the tank at the same body weight.
I was in hospital for a prolonged period earlier this year and had 2 months of doing nothing, gradually building up some strength to walk and move as normal. I was very thin - but I was SO UNFIT. people think you have to be massively overweight to be at your worst. I was out of breath just climbing some stairs. I knew I needed to get fit and gain my muscle back. I had lost it all. I may have looked fine but I was extremely unfit and had no stamina. A daily programme of weights and cardio has helped me get in the best shape of my life, coupled with a vegan diet and drinking 2+ litres of water every day. Kudos to this guy for going on his journey. Maybe, sure, not everyone can relate, but this is him and this was his struggle. When life knocks you it takes time to get back in the game.
Also, clever (not really) use of shadows in the comparison videos. I could take two picture the same day that have the same difference in results as he did. One just has harsh lighting and the other has soft lighting...
Not sure, man. Someone a lot fatter and with a basic muscle development would perform even better, losing more weight and gaining more lean mass than someone closer to 15% BF and years of muscle trainning. I mean, It's easier to go from 30% BF to 17% than from 15% to 10%.
I am actually surprised by your comment. 1 Year is more than enough to transform ANY BODY TYPE - as confirmed by so many transformation stories - you just got to do it right - I have two video recommendations (which I guess you might have already been through but just in case) ruclips.net/video/hsV21DxZPYU/видео.html&lc= and ruclips.net/video/ew7g7AqGqzo/видео.html
The answer here is at the end, where you say you're 'pretty close to the best shape of your life', which means you've been close or fitter before. Your body has already been conditioned to achieve similar or greater exertion, so this isn't really a transformation but a return to a previous state.
Eric, your results have literally gotten me off my bed and started working out today. You’re extremely motivational. And hell yeah, we wanna see a 60 day followup!!
In 6 months I lost 70lbs but still drank 2 or 3 large whisky & Diet Cokes every night. Just cut out as many carbs as possible and no processed sugar. BUT erithyritol is just like sugar and has zero calories, so you can put it in drinks, on strawberries and double cream, and still get that sweet kick! Make keto pizzas if you must. It's so easy. And I'm 62, by the way.
A lot of pizza from restaurants has processed sugar added to the dough and the sauce unfortunately But making your own pizza if you can is incredible! Or a find a place with healthy pizza
Don't forget overhead lighting and completely relaxing your gut in the "before" photos. Getting visible results in 30 days is an absolute joke. It takes months or even years to get meaningful results unless you follow an insanely strict diet program.
Good work man! I think the issues I'm having are because my diet is so all over the place. I'm not overweight and I started out from a really great place. I wish my gym was open, but I'm doing what I can with already existing things at home. Thank you for posting this, I really appreciate it.
Hello 👋 I’m just curious if you are willing to take a look at another source of income that could possibly be of great benefit to you. If it’s not a problem I thought I should ask
2:52 When you bench, you should get lower. Great video man! I really love these challenge videos! I have learned that I'm having consistancy and my diet is so all over the place.
what people don't realize is that you had a good shape before. i went to the gym for 1-1.5 years and had a sort of good body but had to stop due to injuries and lack of motivation. after losing up to 10 kilos, i decided it's enough and went again. it only took about 30-60 days to gain all the muscles i had before while doing a pretty weird routine (everything supersetted and full body workout 3x a week). muscle memory is a thing. not to mention the lightning was EXTREMLY different in the before/after and you pulled your belly in.
exactly, overhead lightning cheat. not to cast a shadow, but it's another video without true follow up potentially able to make people insecure about themselves. good idea, but the final product is flawed. But at least this is the attainable result without any enhancers, so every beginner asking if he could do it - just hit the gym. The time you'll need to get in shape is different and depends on a lot of variables like genetics, overall activity level, diet.
Callum Oscalade A change in lighting doesn't alter the fact that he gained significant muscle mass. Why not give this workout a try yourself and prove him wrong? Oh, I see. Easier to criticize than actualize.
@@gwarlow he was most definitely sticking his gut out in the before portion. he gained SOME muscle mass, but he was already fit before hand. all he really gained here was a 6 pack from dieting probably. based on the sheen of his skin in the after picture, he was also on a post-workout pump as well.
Great video! I just love challenge videos! It's so much fun watching someone's progress and results in such a short amount of time! Just proves what's possible with some dedication and discipline! Just finished a 30-day cycling challenge myself and it was awesome :)
He already had pretty big arms in my opinion, alot of people who don't work out have twigs as arms this guy didn't. He was already working out before that's why he was able to achieve this physique in only a month due to the fact he already had alot of muscle.
@@techable7524 Yep. And flexing, sucking in your stomach, dry skin vs sweaty skin, cold vs pumped etc etc. He had a decent progress but the before and after video is really misleading for beginners.
Ya this definitely before after magic, left is no flex letting gut hang and shit lighting. Left is pump, obvious flex difference by how he’s flaring lats and arms. Contracting abs and the lighting is overhead.. why even do stuff like this lol
@@pankajjagtap2355 Ergonomic exercises. Basically the machines structure to promote proper use and reduce injury. Versus one simply made to mimic the action itself. Like a bent curl bar that keeps your wrists at a more natural position than a straight bar.
I found one amazing part from your video. You are born to strong. Not a lot of guys can lift 50 lbs of dumbbells in their first lift especially the upper chest workout. Keep the good work!
It's a whole month of spending the major part of your days working out, it's a major life change -- he can afford to do that because he's an actor / youtuber. But if you have a normal dayjob you should use a lighter (and much longer) training program, so you can take it easier and harmonize getting fit with having a dayjob etc.
@@DerpBearGamingUK "didn't transform at all", oh now you're just being spiteful... If he trained in that hardcore way for a whole month then he *obviously* had some form of change. The question we should be asking is "how much".
I'm so glad you mentioned something about the 5am wakeup(s) That's the EXACT reason why I'm viewing videos like these. I need some motivation and clarity that IT IS POSSIBLE to function at 5am.
Actually I think that somehow if get up early you go to sleep around 10pm and your quality of sleep is much better. Sleep around midnight is important. Generally you feel better.
Kinda disappointed I could only give one "Like"! After watching your video, I've decided to stay healthy, strong and fit psychically ..for the first ever time in my life. Thanks, man.
Oh man, I just came from a gym after an excellent workout and stumbled on this. Great video. I already have 1 month plan going on now. After that I am trying this. Thanks Erik!
Hello 👋 I’m just curious if you are willing to take a look at another source of income that could possibly be of great benefit to you. If it’s not a problem I thought I should ask
Hey man quick tip to get that max efficiency: for jump rope don’t move arms so much, more use of the wrist movement cause that can waste more energy than ya think. Huge part of boxing is the rope work and that was the first mistake I made coming in, doing great my man 🙏
I haven't boxed since 2005, but jump rope is one thing I've kept in my daily workouts ever since. 10-minute warm-up and cool down with the rope is an amazing whole-body workout.
Nice lighting angles for the before and after thumbnail to start with... pulling out all the tricks 😂😉. No hate though, well done on the hard work either way
Hey Erik just saw the 90 day video, excellent work, you're looking in great shape and just positive in general! Using the centr app did you select gain muscle or get fit and toned?
Thank for the video Erik. Well done on getting those results in only 30 Days. a six pack in 30 days.....that is... More importantly, thank you for all content you've put out for the community to which I'm sure you've transformed millions of lives. But to all of those here who have NEVER worked out before or barely know anything about fitness/bodybuilding, there are a few key things to point out. I foresee being labeled as a HATER, which unfortunately I believe is inevitable, but anyhow, it needs to be said that these results are to some little extent, misleading. Here are my reasons for such a statement. As much as the BEFORE pictures and AFTER pictures are compared in a very similar way, there are some significant differences. 1. The after picture has a downlight. Which to most people who are in the fitness community, know that it greatly "enhances" the look. While the BEFORE picture seems to have no downlight and more of a "front" light, which as a result diminishes the look of muscle tones, especially the abs. 2. Your posture is slightly different compared to the first. You seem to have arched your back a little in the FRONT view BEFORE pic. This in turn reduces visibility of your abs, which I think you ALREADY had in the before picture. Its just that we can't "see" it. Not sure if you pushed your stomach out a little too but let just assume you didn't. These two aspects alone are enough the give the idea of ANYONE of your similar build in your BEFORE picture (to which you are ACTUALLY fitter than you claim to look) can get abs in 30 days if they follow everything you instructed (including the App, which is the real SALE here, ). Of course, I support any sort of product that would help add value to people. What gets me is the marketing tactics that aren't 100% true. You don't have a six pack "NOW". You probably already had a little bit a of a six pack in your BEFORE picture. I just wished you made it as genuine as possible. * Braces for hate replies ( if any, hopefully not, as this seems like a healthy community you've built Erik)
Great job Erik! That was really inspirational! I wanted to ask you where you got the nutrition guide. I’ve downloaded Centr and the diet doesn’t look anything like what you showed on this video. Thanks in advanced man! Keep up the awesome work!
He was in that shape before this video is basically a lie. He got BACK into shape after being sick and ended up getting in better shape than he has before.
Important to note, it seems as though he was in good shape before going to the hospital, and he lost most of it while being sick. Also important, he said "close to the best shape of my life". This kinda shows that he was in a better shape before (not necessarily right before getting ill). This is important because it is much easier to build muscle back after you've lost it than it is to build muscle for the first time. Plenty of people take a really long time (1 - 2 years, maybe more maybe less) to get fit. Then they get hurt, can't work out, and lose alot of progress. Yet as soon as they can work out again, they can build it all back within a few weeks to months
After getting extremely sick while traveling in the Philippines, I spent the past 30 days working out and dieting like Chris Hemsworth using his new app Centr. Should I go for 60 days??

what people don't realize is that you had a good shape before. i went to the gym for 1-1.5 years and had a sort of good body but had to stop due to injuries and lack of motivation. after losing up to 10 kilos, i decided it's enough and went again. it only took about 30-60 days to gain all the muscles i had before while doing a pretty weird routine (everything supersetted and full body workout 3x a week). muscle memory is a thing.
not to mention the lightning was EXTREMLY different in the before/after and you pulled your belly in.
exactly, overhead lightning cheat. not to cast a shadow, but it's another video without true follow up potentially able to make people insecure about themselves. good idea, but the final product is flawed.
But at least this is the attainable result without any enhancers, so every beginner asking if he could do it - just hit the gym. The time you'll need to get in shape is different and depends on a lot of variables like genetics, overall activity level, diet.
My exact thoughts as i watched this video lol
TOTALLY agree about the lighting.
also he clearly just got back from the gym in the later video and is flexing really hard
@@joeyfridays, agree. Also in the first video he is popping his belly out to look even more out of shape than he actually is.
Sick lighting change, bro.
Callum Oscalade even better though, your profile pic
Such obnoxiously better lighting. This video makes me livid
You're killing it 🔥 Can't wait for the 60 day video
050314.moonchild 👊🏼🙏🏻
Great video!
I just love challenge videos!
It's so much fun watching someone's progress and results in such a short amount of time! Just proves what's possible with some dedication and discipline!
Just finished a 30-day cycling challenge myself and it was awesome :)
I wish this video was longer, absolutely go for 60 days
Kryssie Marie I really wanna see him try 60 days
watch it twice, there is 60 days
Do a 60 day follow-up. Congratulations on your remarkable 30-day muscle bound endeavor💪🏼!!
actually before his workout, he doesnt look in bad shape, he looks normal and in fact considerably not bad if it was a person with a 9 to 5 job
He already had pretty big arms in my opinion, alot of people who don't work out have twigs as arms this guy didn't. He was already working out before that's why he was able to achieve this physique in only a month due to the fact he already had alot of muscle.
actually he just changed the light but the difference is visible a bit
@@maartent9697
Absolutely. He just toned his body with the intense workout and better nutrition.
@@Incognit0777 no such thing as toning
@@Incognit0777 Marus is correct. All he did was a cut cycle to lean out. He already had enough muscle mass for his current appearance.
Good transformation Erik. The before and after video is however a bit distorted bc of lighting and shadows. But good result after only a month :)
good job, but on result and after picture, lighting is abit different, and as we all know, just the lightning can bring alot of definition also :)
not to mention posture, post-workout, water intake, this is all common PT picture stuff - been around for 50 years+.
@@techable7524 Yep. And flexing, sucking in your stomach, dry skin vs sweaty skin, cold vs pumped etc etc. He had a decent progress but the before and after video is really misleading for beginners.
the before and after comparison is complete bullshit, dont fall for that - just the pump alone makes a huge difference
He just got done with a workout so of course he looks bigger
Ya this definitely before after magic, left is no flex letting gut hang and shit lighting. Left is pump, obvious flex difference by how he’s flaring lats and arms. Contracting abs and the lighting is overhead.. why even do stuff like this lol
Someone who actually knows how to row on the ergo! 🙂 Once a rower, always a rower!
Whats ergo??😅
@@pankajjagtap2355 Ergonomic exercises. Basically the machines structure to promote proper use and reduce injury. Versus one simply made to mimic the action itself. Like a bent curl bar that keeps your wrists at a more natural position than a straight bar.
Really hoping you did a 60 day! this was very inspirational to me.
I found one amazing part from your video. You are born to strong. Not a lot of guys can lift 50 lbs of dumbbells in their first lift especially the upper chest workout. Keep the good work!
Consistency is key to success..💪🏻
Waiting for more apartment tours..♥️
the next one is pretty unreal, I just posted a pic from it on my IG
Bloody Hell, one month and that's the transformation?!
Guess I can hold off working out for my summer body a little longer then, aye?
It's a whole month of spending the major part of your days working out, it's a major life change -- he can afford to do that because he's an actor / youtuber.
But if you have a normal dayjob you should use a lighter (and much longer) training program, so you can take it easier and harmonize getting fit with having a dayjob etc.
He didnt tranform at all, he got a new light and a pump
chassam and some better posing
@@DerpBearGamingUK "didn't transform at all", oh now you're just being spiteful...
If he trained in that hardcore way for a whole month then he *obviously* had some form of change. The question we should be asking is "how much".
@@doko3000 Look at the lighting, you'll notice it's different. Common trick for "transformation" videos. You seldom add that much muscle in 30 days.
I will transform, not only physically but mentally and spiritually
You didn't just train your body, you've trained your mind. That's a much harder accomplishment, but you did it! Keep up the great work!
*gets an add for his app while watching the video*
This is beyond science!
yes bro i need to see the 60 day follow up video. keep going just dont stop.
I'm watching this as I'm *engulfing a whole packet of M&M's* , my future is not looking shredded!
Yeah, that's gonna turn you into Jack Black. A packet of M&Ms. ffs.
I haven't seen lighting used to that effect in fitness before/after photos since comic books when I was a kid. Seriously obvious dude.
This is probably the best consumer ad if it were one!!
I guess you could say he was working to his own ENDGAME!!!
Get it, he’s training like the actor of Thor
I’m funny right
I loled
"I fell into what felt like the worst shape of my life"
>literally does not even remotely look like bad shape
Its a bad shape
its relative, sure if you're 800 pounds and have 90% body fat then he looks like he's in good shape, but for a healthy individual that's bad shape.
@@cjfitz2477 Yes for me its bad cuz im healthy, i see everyone as peasents
He was literally pushing his stomach out, he already had abs lmao
@@NickleForYourThoughts GHAHAHAHAHA no he def did not have abs lol, you must look like shit
I'm so glad you mentioned something about the 5am wakeup(s)
That's the EXACT reason why I'm viewing videos like these.

Toot!!!!
gotta do what you gotta do to make yourself comfortable
actually i clicked and right after the prompt i burped, so i can relate
omg 😂😂😂
I followed your workout on Instagram, way to go!
Same, I watched his Insta stories and got very motivated to get up off it! His early morning routine was very inspiring :)
thank you! Documenting every workout on IG story was a big help in staying on track
Absolutely love Centr! Have been on board since the beginning
That was truly remarkable,I really didn't think it would be that big of a difference but I am impressed.
*Now Teach us something!!!*
Oh man, I just came from a gym after an excellent workout and stumbled on this. Great video. I already have 1 month plan going on now. After that I am trying this. Thanks Erik!
Hello 👋
I’m just curious if you are willing to take a look at another source of income that could possibly be of great benefit to you. If it’s not a problem I thought I should ask
you are a STUD
you are the man Sam, been loving your tech videos
Definitely a stud... but also definitely a liar
I'm so lazy! That I've felt bad to see that you wake up so early and go to the gym in a city as cold and big as NY... You've inspired me
Hey man quick tip to get that max efficiency: for jump rope don’t move arms so much, more use of the wrist movement cause that can waste more energy than ya think.
I saw all of your workouts on Instagram. All 30 days. It’s pretty impressive. So proud of you! Good job! Wish I would do the same but I’m lazy :(
i would definitley likie to see a 60 day folow up
There isn't better position then to place light right above the head.. he has nowhere to go from there.
Thank you! I used the gain muscle feature
I got a Chris Hemsworth’s Centr ad before this
I keep doubting the authenticity of videos like this because I’ve never seen an empty gym in my entire life
Its clearly fake video for this dumb app
go gym at 5-6am? WIll there be people?
Forget Chris Hemsworth, Erik. YOU are the hunk! 💕💕💕❤️💕❤️💕💕💕
17% body fat from the start is really impressive :)
Definitely want to see 60 days! I’m in the midst of a 30 day transformation myself, so I want to see more. 🤘🏾
👊🏼
My workout routine: watching ppl workout and imaging me doing it
Not a lie but after this video the ad I got was about centr
Great job Erik! That was really inspirational!
I wanted to ask you where you got the nutrition guide. I’ve downloaded Centr and the diet doesn’t look anything like what you showed on this video.
Thanks in advanced man!
Keep up the awesome work!
Dude got in 30 days, what I did in year.
Dude got in 30 days what you got in an year..What I couldn't get even in year :(
I'm pretty sure you did something wrong
That's because of the designer steroids he's using.
It looks like those pictures were taken on the same day. The second one was with down lighting post workout.
