I travelled across South America in 2005 for six months listening to this song! It gave me a sense of Complete freedom then as it does now. What a great version this is.

The 2018 tour he did with Sanchez, Oh, Simcock featured a lot of old PMG material. Some of it the traditional staples (Farmer's Trust, Are you going with me?, Third Wind) but Slip Away was a really nice surprise. Never thought I'd see that one live at a show.
Wonderful version. I enjoy the vocalise-rich Pat tunes free of vocalise; Naná's vocalise was appropriately gauzy. The introductory drumming evokes "Don't Worry Baby."

Se le agotaron las ideas ,es el mismo estilo ,una y otra vez , creo que 23 Años de OBRAS MAESTRAS ,del 77 al 2000 ,es suficiente .
Este show de Pat era justamente recorrer por su trayectoria en sus diversas facetas, porque a la par está girando con su proyecto actual Side Eye. Siempre hay insatisfechos.
Precisamente el problema de Pat es que cambia mucho de estilo. Los grandes nunca cambian de estilo y cuando lo hacen la joroban. Cuando toca este tipo de canciones es cuando demuestra lo grandioso que es.
Una bella y magnifica melodía.

Segun Pat en una entrevista decia que su estilo se mantenia y a la vez se retroalimentaba su mente tocando sus propios temas de antaño pero con musicos que hayan seguido y tocado sus canciones. Por eso artistas como Sanchez, posteriormente melhdau, el "Unity" con Williams, Potter, incluso Giulio Carmessi a pesar que lo conocieron RUclips y la referencia que tuvo (no se si de Sanchez o Williams) fue reclutado por Pat e hicieron giras por mas de dos años. Luego Linda Oh, Gwilym Simcock en este formato cuarteto y para los que saben, tajantemente Pat dijo mas de una vez, por su trio actual Side Eye, que James Francies como Marcus Moore siguieron su carrera del guitarrista desde mucho mas jovenes y la presencia de ellos, sirvio para agregarme mas al grupo y mantener el estilo. Aplica igualmente para Fishman y Dyson ya que son jovenes e igualmente tambien tocan con Pat. El enfoque de tocar temas antiguos a la era moderna, fue algo que Metheny tomo de ejemplo de Miles Davis, alquien que igualmente hizo para mantener su estilo musical.
