If she obviously likes that you will suggest meeting to do something together, like have a coffee and goblin a walk or something. If she says yes, it is assumed that you are not meeting someone else, there is no „are we exclusive „ talk. You are automatically exclusive. And it is hard to say what your „first date“ was. A sensible woman would never get in your car at night unless she thought she knew you well, so if you go out together in the evening she will get to the place by herself, making sure she is able to get home without you. I was born and raised in South Korea and I moved to the USA around a year ago for school. I also lived in Canada (it was just 7 months tho). What I felt is that usa and south korea women want to be treated like they are princess. First of all: making a date doesn't mean the same thing in Germany as it does in America. In America it's the starting line, in Germany it's the finish line. When I agree to a date I already know that I'm interested, because the actual checking takes place beforehand. In principle I agree to split the bill. If he insists on paying alone, he hasn't messed it up and I know that I definitely want to see him again, I accept it. But I tell him that I'll pay next time. To all who thinks German women are just so „easy“: The difference is that Germans don’t just casually date anybody as long as he doesn’t look repulsive at first sight. Dating in Germany is definitely NOT about finding out if you might be interested. If you date someone on a one on one basis, you already know that person (usually) and believe to be interested. It is expected without saying that you are not dating someone else.
Casual dating is only done in a context where you know from the start that all that both are looking for is s.x, like tinder dates. I am sure that kind of thing exists in the US, too.
However, if you know each other e.g. from your workplace or tennis club and you have seen each other many times in a group of friends and you are genuinely interested in the other person, you will not immediately suggest a date. You will spend a few days, weeks or even months (depending on the situation) showing interest in a subtle way, like smiling at her and hoping she smiles back; talking to her more than the others, if she stays behind stay behind too, etc.. If she obviously likes that you will suggest meeting to do something together, like have a coffee and goblin a walk or something. If she says yes, it is assumed that you are not meeting someone else, there is no „are we exclusive „ talk. You are automatically exclusive. And it is hard to say what your „first date“ was. A sensible woman would never get in your car at night unless she thought she knew you well, so if you go out together in the evening she will get to the place by herself, making sure she is able to get home without you. If you are going together in your car, that means either she is very naive or you are a steady couple.

Yeah, the last girl I went out with had a similar mindset, though she mentioned up to six months instead of a year. I ended things with her after a few weeks, for this and other reasons. Waiting only until the first date is definitely too soon, but a whole year is just too long. You should take as much time as you need to figure out if the person is right for a long-term relationship, but it usually doesn’t take that long. After a year, even someone really serious will lose interest. I sure know I would. Most men have learned from experience that chasing after a woman usually leads nowhere and only wastes their time. If they sense that you’re taking advantage of them or aren’t serious about the relationship, they’ll stop dating you if they know their worth.

She told me she did not have time for sex now, and she told me she will have time [insert a date and a time]. So we saw each others again at [insert the day and the time she said] and had sex at this moment.

First of all: making a date doesn't mean the same thing in Germany as it does in America. In America it's the starting line, in Germany it's the finish line. When I agree to a date I already know that I'm interested, because the actual checking takes place beforehand. In principle I agree to split the bill. If he insists on paying alone, he hasn't messed it up and I know that I definitely want to see him again, I accept it. But I tell him that I'll pay next time. And yes, it may be a cliche, but just going out to eat as a date...well, it's better to do something active outside, get some exercise and eat something at the same time.

Spitting the bill on first date is just common sense see I would buy someone dinner or lunch if I felt like it but I don't want to feel obligated and someone who goes to a meal expecting it to be paid for isn't worth anyone's timing
Nah, if you invite someone you pay. You invited that person, the other person already did their part by accepting. If you don't plan on paying for the whole dinner from the beginning, make that clear to see if the other person is still interested.

@@Lunaloone ESPECIALLY on the first date, the person who invites pays. If not, let them know in advance to see if the other person is still interested. Talk from there to see if things stay the same or change. You can split with friends if you want, but a stranger doesn't owe you their time, so if you invite, you pay.

I would just take them to Emmanuel soup kitchen and claim vaguely the bill is already taken care of. I never pay for food and they have good food there. Hopefully she doesn't pay the methheads any attention.
