Thanks Danielle! I went and got highlights and showed them a picture of you and your sisters hair. I got just the typical streaky brassy highlights! So I ran to the supply store and got shades 5g, 6g, and 6wg and smudged the base. OMG looks so much better. I love shades they never disappoint! I wish I could have you do my hair!
Thank you so much for creating videos that apply to Clients and to stylists (such as myself). This video helps clients know what to ask for but also gives stylists tips! Please keep videos like this coming!
your makeup in this video looks gorgeous
yes we sure need a vid on how you do it on your self and what colors you use pleaaaase you have my dream hair :) xoxo
When I Smudge I start by lifting their natural 1-2 levels with a permanent color, then to smudge and get that soft finish I use 7nb in redken shades a lot or if its to brassy and needs to be toned down I use 8n and 7nb....but i always break up my smudge with bleach highlights so you dont get that...I'm lazy and just painted my ROOTs kinda look;)
Could we see a video on this method?! :)
Thank you so much for this tip. I am gonna use it next time I foil highlight someone:)
i think you are awesome!! love all of your techniques!
Loving your hair color, I am also using redken color, curious to know what color you are using to tone your blonde?
Is lifting the roots a separate process from the highlights and the end smudge? Or do you do it all at the same time?
ok my question is: what if your 100 percent grey at the top and what this look? I'm not kidding, Ive seen my roots! lol, Im having trouble understanding what color to put on my roots prior to highlighting and then smudging with say the 7nb? would I put a 7nb color fusion or redken chromatics or color gel on first and then then highlight and then smudge in the 7nb shades eq for 5 minutes? or would you suggest a different color for the base? ANY advice is appreciated xox v
Great video! More pls!!!
are you slicing, your face framing ones? or chunky weaving?
How long do u leave the base color on wen u bump the base???
Hi I really enjoy your videos they're very informative :) I was just wondering if you do highlights first, rinse them out and dry the hair can you go in to the roots with medium ash brown permanent hair dye and smudge that dye a little in to the highlights?
i like the nude natural pink lip colors better on you than the red or purplelish colors love ou xoxo
can you do a tutorial on it? :)

My hairstylist said she could use a technique called "breaking the base" to break up my regrowth. What is the difference between breaking the base and smudge?
+Christie Anderson correct me if i'm wrong, but i think it's the same thing,
where's the how to part?? this is not a tutorial
