Made this today for the play offs. Seasoned it with the Honey Hog and topped it with Honey Habenero Glaze. The seasoning and glaze were fantastic. Thanks Matt for your hard work.
You’re right, it is crazy good. Took it one step further, I looked for and found some milder Jalapeños, took the stem off, halved them and stuffed them with the Smoked Cream Cheese, lightly top dressed with the seasoning and OMG! I’ve also put them on the grill to warm them up a bit and another touchdown. Keep up the outstanding work Matt.👍👍
Made this tonight. Private selection Kansas City bbq seasoning from Kroger. Was great and received all kinds of compliments! Only thing I would do next time, pat it down a little bit from just the block to get a little crust on each bite. Super easy and super delicious!

When I smoke cream cheese, I use it for ham and pickle wraps. I roll the ham and cream cheese and add a slice of sharp cheddar. BEST pickle roll ups ever!
Watched the video at 10, had mine on the smoker at 12:30. Ready to come off right as the Crimson Tide kicks off. Roll Tide Matt! Love every recipe man.
@@texaspepperjelly Your stuff is awesome! Have used it on ribs, pork belly burnt ends etc. Matt is the one who got me hooked on it! Wonder how it would taste on a smoked meatloaf?
@@BeardBQueETX Thanks so much. Glad to hear Matt helped you see the light...LOL! It is amazing on meatloaf! And add our habanero ketchup - you'll never have basic meatloaf again!
I’ve been looking at how to smoke hard cheeses and they all want some kind of tube smoker. Cream cheese seems to work at hot smoking temperatures. I can’t wait to do some home smoked salmon and combine it with this to make a dip… 😊
I just tried this today! So delicious! I'm wondering though, how can I reheat it? Pretty sure I will prefer warm over cold, but I'm also pretty sure I shouldn't eat a whole block at a time. So, how do I reheat after it's been refrierated?
Got one on the smoker right now. I put some Meat Church Honey Bacon BBQ rub on it. I can't wait! UPDATE: It was absolutely delicious with the Honey Bacon rub. You gotta give it a try
RTR, Matt!! Just came across this video, I was actually in your shop while you were probably filming this. Stopped in on my way to Balcones Distillery for a tasting. Day trip before kickoff!
Just smoked some for jalapeno popper chicken thighs and damn with crackers this is a game changer can not believe I've never tried this before, I was skeptical but damn man!
Matt, all the schools in Texas and you gotta pull out the BAMA shirt? Come onnnnnn babyyyyy…..J/K love the vid and the color of that shirt brings out the colors of your cutting board!!!!!!
I said that at 1:04. You don’t have to trim. Just trimmed for a tailgate flair. Usually I don’t trim. You’ll see that in next week’s Texas Twinkies video. Thanks for watching!
I tried this with a few different rubs and spices. Deez nuts pecan rub was the clear winner plain and with some pineapple jalapeño pepper jelly on top. Hot hog honey was a close second. The holy gospel didn’t mesh well with the jelly.
I have to admit, I wasn't really interested in this at all. But I do have a tiny jalapeno plant and I need to make some poppers soon from the plant. This might be a really fun way to change up the recipe.
I've been doing this all summer and I've been using nothing but Honey Hog on mine. Turns out great!

I like it!

Great video, love how you have the finished product ready when you open the smoker.
"Laces Out" was playing in my mind LOL! I'll drink to this.
I top mine with bacon, onions and pepper jelly that was cooked separately all together. Real delicious!
I have been wanting to try the smoked cream cheese, but now after seeing this, I HAVE TO DO IT!! That looked amazing!!

Omg. This is delicious! Hubby and I are enjoying this right now and can't get enough of the Gospel on cream cheese then smoked!!!
This has become a favorite. I used honey bacon on it last time and everyone loved it.
That is awesome. Have not tried Honey Bacon on it yet!
@@MeatChurchBBQ I am shocked you don't see a fad like this and literally make one with each rub. You know, for science.
ok, i've been tempted with the recipe long enough. I need to give this a try asap!
That is what happened to me. Enjoy!
Used this in the brisket elotes as part of the creamy base for the corn. Amazing.
Nice! I put chunky salsa on it cold. I’ve never had it smoked. Definitely gonna try it. Thanks
I will try that.
@@MeatChurchBBQ oh and preferably with Fritos scoops 👍🏼😆
@@nealvillarreal4367 my family has done this for years! Try it with Triscuits! Nice texture and crunch! Hard to beat Fritos, but damn tasty!

Your Honey Bacon is another great pick. Delicious!
Man, Rib Candy ain't just for ribs! That stuff is awesome! Thanks for the new recipe. Gotta give this one a try next!
It's seriously my fav BBQ product outside of our rubs.

UPDATE: It was absolutely delicious with the Honey Bacon rub. You gotta give it a try
I'm getting a new little pellet smoke tube and this will be perfect to try it out this weekend!
My favorite so far is Honey Bacon rub served with candied jalapeños.
Roll tide!!! Getting my new rec teq 700 today going to throw some of this on
Made this for Thanksgiving. It was a hit with the family! Thanks for posting the video. I used the voodoo and it was great!
May have to try this.
BOOMER SOONER!
I was waiting for this
Great! I like to butterfly it and use Voodoo seasoning between the layers and all over the outside! When it’s warm…. WOW!
RTR, Matt!! Just came across this video, I was actually in your shop while you were probably filming this. Stopped in on my way to Balcones Distillery for a tasting. Day trip before kickoff!
Trying this today while I’m making how to bbq rights Monterey chicken cook. Thanks for the videos as always brother
Welcome Tyler!!
@@MeatChurchBBQ much obliged
I poke holes in it with a chopstick so the seasoning penetrates. I mix the seasoning with grape seed oil and brush on.
Underrated
“Well whaddyaknow, they’re little footballs”
“Laces out!” Wonder if MeatChurch is a big Dan Mario fan.
I'm going to try that tomorrow
Looks awesome. If you were to transport it, would you wait to pour over the pepper jelly or does it matter? Thanks
Pecan and Voodoo is my go to! So good.
👊🏽
Would you normally refrigerat it for a bit afterwards to serve chilled or is it better served warm?
WARM!
It’s good cold as well, but like pizza and a lot of other foods it’s better warm.
@@elijahmoon21able ok thanks for the input. Going to try this out on labor day!

Awesome stuff, WAR EAGLE!
"Yes, I'm looking for Ray Finckle. And a clean pair of shorts!!"
I made this last night but with bacon salt rub and man was it good
Yum …. I’m off to go buy some cream cheese !!! Question, could you smoke regular block cheese as well ? I love smoked cheese
Liked just for the "Laces out Finkle" comment 😂
Hey Matt looks awsome!! I cold smoke a lot off cheese, would that work with cream cheese?
Making this tomorrow and can't get the rib candy in my area...suggestion for alternative? Or, is the jelly even necessary?
You had me when I saw the Bama shirt. RTR!
I am trying this right now. Using Voodoo on one and cinnamon sugar on another block. Can't wait to try this while watching more football today!
How did the VooDoo turn out? Heck, how did the Cinnamon/Sugar turn out as well? Sounds like dinner and dessert.
I’ll be doing this!
Trying it this weekend
Kinda disappointed there wasn't a "I'm not mad about that" Is it even that good!?
Never tried smoked cream cheese but ROLLTIDE all the way!!!
“Little bit goes a long way”
(*just completely douses it*)
Subscribed over this.
Though I also dropped a note to Kent Rollins that he needs to try it.
Making this for the game tonight!! GO DAWGS!!!
Doing this tomorrow thanks
Can you make multiple of these at one time and store them for later use?
All I buy is meat church rubs. Holy voodoo is the best rub I've ever had!
Roll Tide Roll!!
Cant wait to try this while they roll over Miami today
I need to hear more about this Texas Twinkie.
Agreed. Tell us more!
Gotta use that Philly cream cheese 🤙🏻

Matt, all the schools in Texas and you gotta pull out the BAMA shirt? Come onnnnnn babyyyyy…..J/K love the vid and the color of that shirt brings out the colors of your cutting board!!!!!!
Is it best to take the cream cheese straight from the fridge or do you let it get closer to room temperature?
That Bama shirt makes life that much better
Do you used a water pan with cream cheese?
Laces out Dan!!!!!
Matt Pittman is my spirit animal.
RTR
Matt, we need to talk about that shirt bud.
Every time I roll smoke I have to throw a block of cream cheese at the request of the wife
its cream cheese, no need to trim. just remold it, no wastage

You mean like the movie Ghost?
100% Legit with Voodoo seasoning. It's like eating Brie, but for men.
Smoking some baby backs at 275 want to throw some cream cheese on the smoker as an appetizer should I shorten the time on the cream cheese?
This looks so damn good.. I will try this ASAP.. 👍🏼 RTR!!!

What’s chips are being used for this? Gonna make it Sunday! Can’t wait.

I've done some a few times and it always goes fast! I use honey hog on one and voodoo on the other. I keep it at 165 for two hours.
