This might've been my favorite Meat the Masters yet. This guy is so down to earth and you can tell it's all genuine and for the love of bbq. Great job Meat Church! Now I gotta make some this weekend! 😂
This channel has literally changed my life. My wife just gets me whatever bbq gitfts I want now because she's so excited for me to heat up the smoker. My neighbor looked over the fence and asked me what I was doing because he was tired of just smellin' it. I'm teaching him how to bbq now because of you and he just bought his first Kamado grill. You're the man. Thanks for taking my BBQ game from a 4 to an 8. I'll never be a 10 but I'll spend my life chasing that 9.
Matt, I aint mad at ya! I went to B4 and had the Elote and Texas Twinkie. It was phenominal! I got there at 11:30, and by the time I got through the line to order, I was lucky enough to enjoy their last Elote! Sold out before noon! Nolan said that he'd gone through 25lbs of corn that day. It's that popular! It was so worth the drive from Dallas. Thanks for the great video and suggestion to visit Mabank and B4 Barbeque!
I've been eating there since it was just a food truck. He just keeps improving and getting better and better every time i come. It's already a half hour wait to get through the line to get your food after opening.
Warning: if you plan to go to this place, get there before it opens. I showed up at 11:10 and the line was already 20 people deep. Worth it, though, and this guy has more personality than shown in this video. He's always trying new things and putting them on the menu for the day.
@@MeatChurchBBQ - I have to say, it's impressive you respond to all these comments. You must be stuck inside like most of us in Texas right now with the ice :)
I’ve learned so much these past couple of years watching the meat church videos. Matt is a true professor and ambassador of bbq not only in central Texas but in America. Keep up the great work servicing your community! Makes me feel part of it every time I use your products!
Reading between the lines a little: Matt, I think this man has studied your work, and probably that of many others in the world of bbq. And he’s using what he’s learned to inform his own unique approach, not at all a copycat of any one individual but at the same time it’s obvious he’s done his homework. Love to see it! And love to see you use your platform to highlight up and comers in your field.
This is friggin' amazing!! I love the spin on elote. These pitmasters are so creative. I felt Nolan's appreciation and pride of his 1000gal smoker. He almost choked up introducing her b/c of the amount of time he spends crafting his art. Another awesome video and creation.
Love the series, it's awesome to see the amount of respect Matt shows people that get it right, and the respect they give him back for all that he's done in the BBQ world. Let's get this channel to a million subs people!
100% agree. I have been loving and learning from Matt’s videos for a long time, but this series shows the character of the man and the passion for just really good BBQ along with the hard work it takes to pull it off as a business.
Cheers from rural Western Australia. I've cooked a couple of your side recipes and they've elevated me to BBQ King status. This one looks like it's going to take me to whole new level. 😎😂
My dad was born in 1938 and raised in Mabank. I remember visiting relatives and going to this small east Texas town(compared to Houston where I grew up) with a flashing yellow light in the center of town. Ahh childhood memories. Thanks Matt
Growing up in the '80s we also had a weekend place on Cedar Creek. Back then Mabank was barely a blip in the road and sure as heck wasn't any good food around. Nice to see things coming up.
I love the fact that BBQ is life and that your all about networking and putting other people's BBQ on the map. You are truly a blessed man Brother!! Come down to south texas and do a show or so
Ok, it's official. I live in the Dallas area and this place is on my to-go-to list. Might do a little fishing at Cedar Creek Lake then head over for some bbq and that elote corn. Might even buy a new cowboy hat. Yehaw, yessir! Thx for the information and video.
I've learned so much since subscribing to this channel my own cooking has stepped up and the wife notices! You know the saying happy wife happy life! This place looks amazing we will be making a trip soon from Weatherford, TX thanks Matt for this channel!
I’ve done these Texas twinkies with rotisserie chicken from the super market and smoked wings I had left over. Phenomenal! If you can’t find whomp sauce Stubbs original works pretty good
Awesome! Love Texas! I appreciate that y'all have a lot of manners! Not many people this day in time have them! Food looked amazing! Man you are awesome! You know how to get it on point! Great video really enjoy watching them.
I made the Texas Twinkies recipe for the Super Bowl today and that filling is fantastic. I had more filling than jalapenos so I put it in a bowl and smoked it with the Twinkies. After about an hour and a half, I took the filling out and served it with garlic Triscuits and it's fantastic. I'm thinking a few jalapenos chopped in the filling and smoked for a couple hours would be great without having to stuff the peppers.
Matt, I made this yesterday. Did not have brisket, but did have a pork belly. Smoked it to probe tender and wrapped with sauce for the last hour. Corn charred just like yours. Easily the best bbq side I’ve ever made.
I gotta tell ya I'm from the northwest, I ran across a fried cabbage recipe it is off the hook good but before baking I add a quarter cup of the preferred BBQ sauce and this recipe is crazy good a go to
Awesome to see you showcasing the Pit-masters in and around DFW. This past weekend I brought back a dozen Texas Twinkies back home to Kansas from Hutchins. Keep doing the good work! ✌🏻
That pepper jelly is one of the easiest things to make. I do all kinds and give it as gifts. I bet you could sell it and it's super affordable to make.
Oh my goodness !!!!!I just happened across your channel one day and I am so thankful… I've been making Texas Twinkies for a while with my own rub and I so enjoy these behind the scenes with BBQ Greatness... ❤❤❤❤❤
That looks so good. You could make that like a casserole and put the jalapeños on top and serve a lot of people. Thank you for the ideas. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Mmmm love tx Twinkies.... Don't know about he tx sugar or seasonings discussed, but from the looks of it, the recipe is very similar to how I make mine, rolling the bacon wrapped jalapenos in a spicy brown sugar mix, then glazing with a spicy bbq sauce later, dusting with a seasoned salt if needed.
