Chef Ernest, Super Dave and the rest of the Burnt Bean crew have a truly one of a kind bbq joint in Seguin, TX. It was an honor to cover their story and get to experience first hand why so many people and organizations rave about the Burnt Bean Company! This video was recorded during a very trying time of my life and Ernest was a light for me. I’ll always remember and cherish his hospitality towards me. I’m forever grateful. Hope y’all enjoy! Like and share to help support this channel so I can make more videos in the near future. The next episode we are covering the Legendary Snows BBQ! Stay tuned and subscribe so you don’t miss it 🤠
We are spending 2 weeks next year coming from Australia to travel Texas and check out BBQ joints. This place has just hit the top of the list. This man is genuine as hell and absolutely loves what he does. I cannot wait to meet him
You captured the essence of Ernest Servantes, not just what he does, but who he is. BBQ is soul food, and you captured his soul. Kudos for your masterful use of music to tell and transition the chapters of this wonderful story. This is your best work yet.
thanks so much, doing the music and sound design is one of my favorite parts of editing these. also helps to have the WICKED-ly talented @chrisdoughtymusic making custom compositions like the last song on this video
Wow. The range of emotions that I felt listening to Ernest’s story. What an incredible video. I could have watched and listen to him speak about his passion for hours, so infectious.
@ you did an incredible job, as with all of your videos. I really don’t know how your channel hasn’t blown up. There are so many channels with a lot more subs who put out content that is nowhere near your level. Keep up the amazing work!
the passion of this man just glows through out everything in this video. thanks for shining the light on this special place. imma come see ya for sure my dude
Your best work so far Ant! And finally a pitmaster/chef that doesn't act gangster because he's the first and only guy to do BBQ like they didn't learn from Franklin like everyone else's. "The BBQ gold rush", Ernest said it perfectly!
This brotha really loves what he does and it shows, I’m so proud of him and his team. I die everyday I have to drive a truck because all I ever wanted to do was make a living creating restaurants, but it makes me happy seeing someone who is as passionate as I am winning, it make my day a bit easier. Keep up the great work yall!!!!
Man you have brought some great bbq stories that brought tears to my eyes...but this episode was by far an emotional one for me...thank you for telling Ernest's story....the ending and his final words were the humblest of humbles....your videos are by far the best I've seen....you gotta release these on DVD or something brotha!!!....MOHALO!!!..
thank you so much, my goal is that in a few years i'll look back on these videos and be embarrassed by the production quality. Trying to get better every upload, I want to impact lives with these videos!
What a great piece of art. Both the show as well as the people showcased. I live in San Antonio and have heard whispers of this place, but I’ll have to try it. The most impactful thing said was the last lines where he explains how he will get older and move to each station until he gets to sit at a table in the corner and sit and look and enjoy at what he created. Just wow!
One of your best works yet. Thank you so much for sharing Chef Ernest with us. The way you closed it with him elaborating on working every position on the line and then finding his corner. Outstanding and has really hit home.
We ate here last week. We ate at 5 top Austin area BBQ joints in 3 days and Burnt Bean was THE BEST. Ernest and Dave are super nice. Their serving line is setup well and moves the line faster than other places we tried, but you never feel rushed. The sides are just as awesome as their proteins. We will definitely be back.
By far the best video I have seen! I love how perfect you represented them, makes me a little teary eyed watching their dedication, what they have went through and accomplished. Thank you for this, truly!
Ant, your dedication to these BBQ stories is just as good as the BBQ these chefs are creating! You deserve a James Beard/ Michelin star for these documentaries! I keep saying this is the best one yet but they are all unique in their own special way! Thank you for telling their stories! I enjoy watching them just like you enjoy eating all that delicious food!
Fantastic. Perfectly executed video, storyline, and blessing. I am now planning a trip from Houston. I will not be denied the pleasure of being just one patron of this awesome chef. Thank you for telling Ernest's story.
Passion+Love+Heart always wins! what a story and how down-to-earth you can be with honors like the James Beard Award?! just crazy! and Ant your videos are incredibly good! I have tears in my eyes every time… pls never stop your incridebel work
Loved their BBQ. Def one of the very tops especially the fatty brisket. My Model S was camped right behind that black truck out front overnight 😆 The tacos were killer. Nicest guy ever
Great story! I am deeply impressed with Burnt Bean's simple, but profound business philosopy..."Decipline, Selection, Pride, Accountability, Consistancy." Great lesson to take away! Foods that are being served clearly reflect the chief's mindset. Hope to visit here someday from S. Korea.
I absolutely love your videos, Ant. I hope people are catching these musical cues, they're just brilliant. Ending with a melancholic "pure imagination" is *chef's kiss.
great ear! big thanks to @ChrisDoughtyMusic for composing that for me. I had a literal one minute conversation of what I wanted for the last song, and he nailed it on the first try!
Another great video Ant! Your BBQ interview stories are my most anticipated videos on RUclips. Professionally filmed and edited. Keep up the great work Brother! 🙂
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it, can't wait for you to see Snows BBQs feature in a couple of weeks, I'm so glad I got to meet Kerry, Clay and Ms. Tootsie and I can't wait for you all to meet them as well through my video :)
Everything said from that feeling of locking in at 1-2am by yourself to controlling Earth (wood) Wind (stack and door) and Fire was right on point. If you really love the process it doesn’t even feel like work. From a Pitmaster who went to Truth University BBQ college, I 🫡the work, the grind, the dedication and the tears of joy in proving yourself and your friend right.
This is my absolute fav video of bbq. This dude is so genuine and his passion for people is just amazing. I’m making arrangements now for a trip to try this BBQ.
thank you so much, watching, liking and sharing which y'all are already doing is what's making these videos reach wider audiences and is growing the subscribers. So thank you!
I've been to Burnt Bean four times and I have never been disappointed. They have some of the best BBQ in Texas. Sunday brunch: The Casanova - so good! Spent the next four hours driving home fighting a food coma.
I remember watching this competition. I think it was him and Kent Rollins who were in the final maybe and both of their cooking looked absolutely next level. I’m so so happy for this man. Hard work paid off and it couldn’t happen to a better dude. I’ll put this on my list next time I’m in Texas!
i told Ernest I wasn't sure how to make the intro for this because he had 4 incredible stories I could have started the video with. The chopped story was easily one of my favorites!
Great video Ant. Ernest is a great guy and your video told his story perfectly. This is one of the best videos you’ve ever made. Thanks for sharing it with us.
How the hell did i stumble upon this piece of artwork production. How did bbq bring a tear to my eye?? The willy wonka melody at the end was the cherry on top. BRAVO!
This was freaking amazing. Ernests comment about not wanting anyone to experience the feeling of having your meat sold out made me love him so much. He cares so much about the people coming in.
Absolutely love your videos they are so bloody good keep keep up the great work love seeing everybody how are you interview hearing the stories see in the emotion thank you
Best one yet. Amazing production quality and a great story told. Side note: I really like how you cut out the questions you ask and just let the chef tell his story. It makes so much more immersive and captivating. I guess da pope be missing church on Sundays for bbq🤔

Try Smittys in Lockhart.

Genuinely enjoyed watching that. Thank you
Love it. One of my favs is making my own bbq sauce with some 5spice during the smoking on ribs or burgers. Stands nice with the apple cider vinegar.

Awesome story! Definitely on my BBQ vacation list!
Fantastic work, Ant. Absolutely loved this one.
