This is just awesome! I used to compete in RC crawling years ago. We never had 3D printers or the ability to make something like this. I am absolutely going to build this. Thank you for sharing it all! Subscribed!
at least spare parts are cheap 😂 I hope to get more feedback on the design and materials. I did some outdoor testing. motor hubs will fail if not printed the right orientation. pla is prone to heat deformation and UV. I had a break at the rear axle, so I added supporting arcs from the axle to the motor hubs. motors hold up well, but maybe they need grease after some time. I will share all my experiences, hope the community does too!
To fix wheel scrub, maybe something like a behind the axle mount c-hub pivot closer to the wheel? Like the rear of the motor would swing. Cool rig, though. Great job.
Thanks! It all started a few years ago, when I tried to build 1/10 crawler with direct drive hub motors. I tried 360° servos and gimbal motors but wasn't happy with torque and speed. So I made a 1/24 to fit this tiny N20 motors which work great on that size. When I find motors well suited for 1/10 I make a larger version.
@@Unboxingexperience7 I placed the orders for the products, even though they will arrive late due to my location. I completed the 3D printer outputs yesterday. If I come up with any improvements during the assembly phase or make an additional design and add a part, I will share it. I'm following your channel for the 1/10 scale project. :)
On October 29th there will be an update video on the MRC24. I made a new middle part for the front axle providing 20° caster. That will help steering. stl will be available for free on printables and thingiverse.
sure, you can use any radio. the cheapest option would be to use a 2 channel radio. you just need to connect all motor wires to the esc. however, you cant control the axles individually.
@@Unboxingexperience7 Cheers mate. What i meant to ask was can i use all these functions on a cheaper radio like a flysky gt5 or g7p. What radio feature do i need to accomplish this? Thanks mate🙂
3CH will work if you are able to mix the 2 channels for the 2 ESCs on the trigger of your radio. If not, just use 1 ESC for all 4 motors and 2 channels of your radio.
Wow.. love it! A 1/24 micro *Dual-Motors-On-Axle* rock crawler!!! 💥 I build micro MOAs... this is great to watch!
This would be a BLAST with an FPV camera on it!
Very Nice! Can't wait to print and build

It would be good to get some long term durability tests on that in some real world conditions. Nice idea though I worry about the steering scrub.

It was a detailed and beautiful explanation. I really liked the design. Thanks for sharing. Maybe you can adapt it to a slightly larger size? :)

@@Unboxingexperience7 6 days left to share the new body then :)
it s just the front axle. video and new part will be released on 25th ruclips.net/video/Sykh9MqX8sM/видео.html
Nicely done. Nice printer setup too!
Why 99% infill not 100%?
Thanks! I use gyroid infill pattern which is limited to 99%. There are other patterns allowing for 100% infill
👍
If you decide to sell them as full kits I am there! :)
Can this be done using a different radio? Sonething a little more budget?

programmable 3Ch radios should be capable of individual axle control. search the internet for moa (motor on axle) programming on your desired radio.
@@Unboxingexperience7 Cheers 🙂
nice... sell done
LooKing firward to outdoor test
Can I use a 3ch transmitter with this design?

@@Unboxingexperience7 Ok great. Yes I think I can mix channels. Thank you for sharing this. Very impressive
Where did you get the motors from and where can i get them in England?
got it from aliexpress. you ll find the bom with links on thingiverse and printables
