Only credit he gets is selecting better players to start than he picked the weeks before. Namely Degroot, Frizell and Mounga, even Lomax put in a decent shift. But the efforts of Degroot and Frizell set the tone with the support of Taukeiaho, Savea, Whitelock and Scott.
Mounga set and guided the team much better than Beaudans poor game management. What is troubling from all of this is that why were these guys left out in the first place to start from the other tests, obviously Mounga and Degroot have best one of the best if not the best in their positions through Super all year and last year as well.

When Scott Barrett scored that's the most joyus I've heard Grant Nisbett in commentary since Barrett's brother Beauden scored the match clinching try in the 2015 Rugby World Cup Final. The emotion from the legendary commentator summed up the relief in Kiwiland after the team endured their worst run of form since the dark year of 1998. In about three and a half hours after I post this comment a press conference is scheduled, presumably to reveal the fate of embattled coach Ian Foster. If he is removed from the head coaching role then he leaves with a great performance at Ellis Park as his last hurrah, if they retain him then hopefully this result is this team's major turning point and they can build from it and prove that they have what it takes to suceed.

Saying SA didn't turn up is an insult to how well the abs played. We ran sa off their feet and that created the line breaks. We won battles at the lineout and scrum time that we didn't win last week and stopped SA from pillaging our breakdown at will. This allowed us to retain more possession and force a faster pace game the boks were not equipped for. Notice when the game slowed down south Africa pulled in front. We picked the tempo back up and scored twice to win it, sa didn't play badly, we just outplayed them enough to win.
