    Surprised you didn't mention arguably the biggest difference between the two being that the Huion is a touch screen whilst the XP Pen is not. That could be a massive difference to some users.

      Actually that's a good point for me it's not been something I'd use but I should have mentioned that

    Just got the UGEE m708 drawing tablet for my birthday and I’m having great experiences with it so far. It’s a nice budget drawing tablet if you aren’t looking for one with a screen. I think it was $50

    Hey Grant, I just picked up a Huion Kamvas 3rd Gen. Excellent pen display, I'll actually be making my way to your Blender sculpting lessons with it this weekend. Although not completely a single USB cable, the 3 in 1 cable does mean I don't need to plug into the wall to power the screen.

    • @grabbitt
      @grabbitt  5 дней назад

      That's interesting. Is that the pro range ? What size? I'm confused with Huion as to why they made the 19 inch so it had to be powered through the socket

    • @elwaster84
      @elwaster84 5 дней назад

      @@grabbitt It's 13inch. Came out a couple of months ago, stock has been diffficult to secure, but it's also 1080p, so perhaps that's why is doesn't need as much power? The cable is called the Huion 3 in 1 cable, and is likely compatible with your pro tablet. They upgraded the pen tech too for this model.

      @@elwaster84 Yeah the smaller ones work just fine with a single cable even. Got the Kamvas 16 2021 and i just have one USB-C cable going to my PC to power and use it. Just have to make sure that the cable you use is able to transmit video data, many of mine did not and it took a while to figure that out

    Both Kamvas Pro 19 and Artist Pro 19 are worth buying depending on your needs but I gotta say XP-Pen takes the lead for its proper availability in the Philippines with their own currency.

    I’m an XP Pen fan, but the 19” comes with the X3 Pro Roller pen which many folks won’t like. Why? Because this pen has a Scroll wheel (near the bottom, where your index finger can run the scroll wheel) and then two buttons farther up the pen body. These two buttons are harder to use because they sit farther up the pen body. So, if you aren’t a frequent “scroller” person, you won’t want to use this pen, and will then need to use the X3 Pro “slim” pen that also comes with the 19”. Anyway, if you like this 19” pen display, you could buy it, and then make an additional purchase of the regular X3 Pro Stylus pen which has two buttons in the normal (lower) position on the body (but that purchase will cost you an extra $50, or thereabouts). Just wanted you-all to know about this pen “caveat”. The Huion 19” looks like it comes with the Slim pen and then the standard “wide” pen that has two normal buttons (so, you are OK if you choose the Huion over the XP Pen for the 19” size).

      Yes that's a good point i was surprised at xp pens choice on this one which makes that pen almost unusable but it does come with a slim pen as well so i didn't feel it was necessary to purchase a new one

      @ Thanks for your comment, Grant. It’s frustrating that XP Pen included the Roller pen for the “wide” pen. They really should have left the X3 Pro Stylus in the 19” box, and made the Roller an optional purchase. Well, at least the Slim is there, and many folks like the “slim pencil” feel (like the Apple Pencil), so OK. Still, it’s frustrating!

    The one thing I think Huion needs is a built-in adjustable stand. That is the one thing that pushed me away from Huion and over to XP Pen when I bought my tablet 3 years ago because all the other features are comparable.
    Having to purchase an adjustable stand separately is kind of a drag. Huion needs to fix that IMO.

    • @grabbitt
      @grabbitt  2 дня назад

      Its the same stand design as xp pen.

      @@grabbitt Unless I'm missing something the Huion just has those two feet that swing out attached to it. The XP Pen has an adjustable butterfly shaped stand on it. At least mine does.

    Hi Gabbitt!
    By any chance, did you had the opportunity to try out the Huion 27" version?
    I want to upgrade to 4k and I Like the larger screen, and the touch option, But I never tried Huion before.
    ( using the xp-pen artist 24 atm, I love it, but the WQHD started to become not enough resolution with blender-UE )

    I have the Huion Kamvas Pro 16 and, while the drawing experience is good, the ports on the right side drive me insane. The connectors themselves feel incredibly cheap and flimsy, while taking up unnecessary space on the right side of my workspace to accommodate the cables coming out. Having ports beneath or on the far side of the panel - like XP Pen - for me is far preferable.

      I would actually say that the configuration seems a little bit dated in terms of the components for that price but that could just be the difference in sourcing in your location
