Super helpful and detailed! Thanks for reviewing it. This is may be my final push to purchase it. Side note: Will you be reviewing the 16 gen 3 as well?
Excellent overview! 11:13 This must depend on the retailer. The main listing on Amazon US says there is a ST300 stand in the box in multiple places. But on the Huion shop it says there is 2 versions you can buy, one with the stand and one without. I guess if you see it for $249 without discount that will be without a stand
Sorry it took me so long to reply. I think waiting for the Huion Kamvas 16 GEN3 is the better option. (Assuming it is as good as the Kamvas 13 GEN3) It's already released in China, so I expect it on other regions soon.

Hi good day, thanks for honest review, Just a question, i wanted to use usb-c on my desktop but it doesn't have usb-c port. Can i use a usb 3.1 to usb-c adaptor?
In theory this may be possible with a DisplayLink adapter. However, I think the general consensus is that using DisplayLink is not ideal - it places more burden on your CPU for example. I've never tried DisplayLink adapters so I' m not sure how well they work in general.
Hi! I have a question. Is it possible to use the tablet with a USB-A to USB-C cable? I have one left over from my Huion Insproy Ink and I'm hoping to use that instead of paying 20 euro for the USB-C to USB-C one they sell.
I was surprised too. Huion describes it as an entry-level tablet. But I think it out performs others in that category. I hope this is a sign of more to come! :-)
Nice review! Just wondering performance wise would you say this is similar to the Cintiq Pro 16? (regardless of size) I'm looking for display tablet mostly for drawing; I still do most my painting with an Intuos Pro for the ergonomics but wanted a display tablet for accurate drawing. I don't mind the smaller size of this one but if performance wise these feel similar, then I would go for this one to save money. Supposedly there's a new Intuos Pro coming out next year according to some rumors on Reddit!
Sorry for the late response. I think it is close in terms of performance. And the Huion Kamvas 16 GEN3 is coming soon which should be even more competitive. I am really looking forward to what those new Intuos Pros might offer!
In terms of sparkle and screen, would you say it's similar/better/worse than XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 gen 2? That one has slightly higher pixel density which seems to increase sparkle, but I see good feedback on it compared to older Huion tablets.
Not here to rant, but i seriously die a little more inside every tablet release because I legitimately bought a DTC133 at full price in 2024. Despite the pen feeling premium, its IAF was somehow worse than a PW100, and apparently, isn't covered by warranty where i bought it - that thing is costly to replace. Suffice to say, i can't see myself buying another wacom product for the foreseeable future. Thanks a lot for your informative videos, 7Pens!
Thanks so much for the comment! I really hope Wacom eventually starts to take its consumer pen displays more seriously. The are not very competitive in the consumer segment with their current models.
If this model is that good, should I wait for a new 22-inch with Pen Tech 4.0, buy the Pro 19 with Pen Tech 4.0, or go for the RDS 220 with Pen Tech 3.0+ support and find the best-measured pen with more than 600 gf? Are tablets with Pen Tech 4.0 better than those with an excellent pen from the Pen Tech 3.0+ series? What are your thoughts on this topic? Are there any other reasons, apart from pen pressure, that make tablets with Pen Tech 4.0 superior?
Sorry for the late reply. I would say in general go with PenTech 4.0 models. Besides the pen, the other thing I've noticed is that with these newer models Huion finally has their AG sparkle issues under control. By the way, the Kamvas 16 GEN3 should be coming to the US soon I think. It is already released in China. If you want to go with PenTech 3.0 then a good start is getting a PW550 pen. I can't guarantee every unit has such a wide pressure range, but most seem to.
Any issues/annoyances with the drivers with this newer generation? I recently switched from a Wacom Cintiq to a HUION Pro 24 4k (GT2401). While I do miss the lower initial activation force, the bigger issue I've faced is with the drivers. Wacom's drivers were pretty much install once, they work and are pretty much out of your way. With the Huion, it takes more time to load up. Sometimes they don't startup properly and I have to restart the drivers or disconnect and reconnect. It's been such a pain that I'm thinking of returning it while I'm still within my return window. I've uninstalled the wacom drivers and have a computer with pretty good specs, so not sure if this is just my machine or a huion drivers thing. Thinking of going either for an XpPen or waiting until Huion release a newer 24 or 22 gen and hope the driver situation is better. What worries me about going with an XpPen is the line wobble you mentioned on another video. I might even go down a size, but I think 16" @2k would be the min for me. Curious to hear anyone's experience or thoughts on this.
Sorry for the late reply. About the latest Huion drivers - the only thing I've noticed - is that the Huion driver still sometimes "forgets" which display the active area is mapped to after a restart of the computer. While it is easily fixable in the driver, it's irritating to have to do it. I hope they resolve this sometime soon.
Thanks so much for these videos! Most videos on these drawing tablets seem to be sponsored. So it's really useful to have honest reviews like these.
Hopefully excited to see the 16 inch for the gen 3.
Super helpful and detailed! Thanks for reviewing it. This is may be my final push to purchase it. Side note: Will you be reviewing the 16 gen 3 as well?
Yes I will. I will order it tomorrow and and soon as it arrives will be starting my evaluation.

Thanks for this info!
i would love to see you put Pro Pen 2 and 3's max pressure and pressure transiton info as well in the charts 3:20 4:00 .Solid video as usual man
This is a really good suggestion. I will try to incorporate that in the future.
would you recommend this or the xp pen pro 16 (gen2) for someone getting their first display tablet? i’m super torn between the two😭
Same, i second this

I am pretty sure that will not work.
public utility man, thank you!
Great Review!
I was surprised by the qualities you mentioned about this one. I thought it was a much more entry-level Pen Display.

I think this is has similar AG sparkle to the AP16GEN2 - very low.
Pentech 4.0 go BRRRRR!
I've been so pleasantly surprised by the PenTech 4.0 pens and tablets!

not surprise to see Wacom uses their One lineup as a leverage to make their ProPen2/3 related products look good

Buying this for my granddaughter. I will also have to purchase a tablet What Android tablet do you recommend? Thanks for your help
