You have reignited the Stardew itch in me with this play through so I bought a copy for my niece (who is 11) and we play multiplayer over switch. She loves it and I enjoy showing her all the things. We spend 4 in game days a night. It is a beautiful game to share in these COVID times. Thank you for sharing your videos.

It is an interesting dynamic seeing her mindset shift after you can tell she has been playing on a different Save State. For someone like me who is binging this series, it is interesting seeing her plans change or playstyle shift. You can definitely tell there was some time between this episode and last episode.
"No don't eat it" has to be the most said phrase during this playthrough
You're addicted to Stardew, just like the rest of us lol love it! About Mushrooms, between level 81-119 in the normal mines, there will be a level completely filled with mushrooms. You can go to that level, collect the mushrooms and leave. Then, you can go back down and collect some more in the same day. Itd be a good way to collect purple mushrooms. The mushroom floor moves a level up each day so as an example, if you find the mushroom floor on 87, it will be on 86 the next day. On the days that the mushroom floor will be on an elevator level, there will be no mushroom floor for the day (any day ending in 0 or 5).
That was patched out. You can no longer visit the same floor to get more mushrooms on the same day.

Watching this whole series, you can really sense the vibe shift from the previous video to this one. Before it was all curious, surprised at different things and asking advice in chat. So pure and cute in a way.
Suddenly now, it got all like ”WTF have I’ve been doing on this farm” and ”Oh, yeah... on my other farm I’ve done this, this, and this... let’s do that here as well”. 😂

I’ve never played this game. I don’t plan on playing this game, but I have found it both highly entertaining and oddly satisfying to catch the stream when I can and watch these videos to find out what I missed.
About what you said in regard to growing up in a really little town, it’s incredibly nice. I grew up in a small town of about 800 and every fundraiser, or event was supported by most everyone in town. Everyone knew everyone and it was an incredibly nice community!

Since nobody mentioned it yet, build a wooden sign and put it on the edge of your fish pond. It gives you a display on how many fish you have in the pond.
I had the spirit board cutscene with Abby in my own playthrough and I sat there like "Abby, I am a gay married man, it will not work between us" 😂

Thank you for the tour of the second farm. I think if I were to do more than one run of Stardew, I might see about different stylings of the game, the farming if you will. Maybe as an example one run-through is heavy on the mining, like minimal farmwork then into the mines. I joked before too about the House Greyjoy Challenge ("we do not sow"), playing the game without planting a single tree or crop.
I love your stardew valley playthrough on youtube, I am a full time working adult with a family and it's nice to sit back, relax, knit, and watch you play cause I dont have time to play myself. I get thru a row of knit and have to take care of something (bf, dog, cats, mom, etc) ^-^'. I hope you do more youtube, I remember being young and a gamer, it's like watching a little sister play and it's very relaxing.
Fun fact if you havent heard this already: this game is made by only one person , everything about it sound visual story characters coding.
when i found out about this, this man became such a huge inspiration for me. i love this game a lot for someone who hasn't played it yet (im looking to buy it soon tho) and I've wanted to make games for some years, im starting college for programming this year! huge respect for ConcernedApe!

@@meridamcgonagall-snape Yes , he does them alone , once after an update the save files for users were ending up corrupted and he asked all the users and manually fixed all the requests by himself he refuses i think to get a crew cause he enjoys all the process in the game developement

Loving it still! I dumped all my time into Stardew valley and now I"m waiting for 1.5 for console! A girl that's direct is so amazing, Shawn is sooooooo super lucky to have you. My last girlfriend literally left me for this exact reason, I wasn't picking up the subtle things she was trying to get me to understand and when I asked her about it when she broke up with me she said I should have just understood. She had wanted me to spend more time with her but had never once told me simply "hey I'd like to spend more time with you" I'd have dropped everything if it had been. I'm a simple man and for the right girl I'm willing to put a lot aside but you got to tell me, I'm no mind reader lol. I think this is the best game for BB to sleep on your lap.
Now I know you've already done Pierre's quest, but here me out. For quests such as Pierre's produce where you need to harvest 25 gold crops and place 25 gold crops in his box, they do not need to be the same items that you harvested. Say for example, you just harvested 25 gold star pumpkins. You could just go into your chests, pick out 25 cheaper gold star crops like wheat, and then place those instead and it'll work just fine.
This works for all quests that require you to do an action, and then place items in a container. Another example; Gus' 2 dozen eggs. You can pick any 24 eggs from the coop floor/auto harvester, and none of them have to be the same as the eggs you put in his fridge.
You don't even have to do it in order. You could take the items from your stock and place it in the designated container, then harvest/collect them in the time limit, and the quest will complete at your convenience. Items left in a container for an unfinished quest are left in the Lost and Found at Lewis' house.
GAWD i wish my cat would lay in my lap like that when i'm gaming. she stands next to the chair and meows at me. i've had her for 12 years. Jealous!!
i have a cat who used to lay on me while i was gaming but only for short whiles at a time, like 5 to 10 minutes at most before he got uncomfortable and left haha sadly, i moved away so when i get to visit him at my dad's i don't have my pc there to spend that bonding time together anymore haha
My two cats (they are sisters) lay on my lap while I'm playing games, but one at a time, if one of them catches the other on my lap, they will fight for the spot lmao

Day 10 : I remember the necklace from the last episode. Looked it up out of curiosity and it turns out you don't have to necessarily know who it's for. It doesn't even have to be in your inventory as long as you've picked it up; talking to Caroline or I believe Abigail automatically gives you the found necklace dialogue and completes that quest/gifting.
Gab's laugh at 1:36:20 absolutely made my day😄 I laughed so hard after hearing that comment about Willy. Good job to whoever thought of that in chat 👏
The Sand Dragon is the last part of a quest, if you read one of the books in the library you will find out where to start. Happy Hunting!!!

I grew up in a very small village in Germany. We had two village festivities every year like those in Pelican Town. Schützenfest (a target shooting competition) and Ringreiten (Ringsteken in dutch, I didn't find an English translation, it seems to be a thing only in Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany). I still cherish this memories from my youth.
Day 11 : Dropping the two maple syrups into the sturgeon pond reminded me of coin/item drops in the fairy pools of Link to the Past. Half expected a giant sturgeon fairy to pop up and reward Goobers, classic fairy goddess music starting to play 😊

On my first game of stardew I joined a multiplayer game with my friends already on year 2, and I only ever gave things to Sebastian because I didn’t realize you could level up just as friends with other people lol. The other players had already called Penny, Abigail, and Emily too so I just kinda went “oooo emo boy” and only cared about him XD
I'm not caught up on the streams, so idk if you figured this out already, but if you want to get more staircases, the desert merchant trades them for Jade on Sundays. If you make a bunch of crystalariums with jade you'll get a bunch in no time
There is also something so jarring about going from one farm to another in varying levels of progress. I can only imagine; with how much this farm has had, to start all over lol. You really do settle into a routine so quickly with your first farm.

I finally caught up on the streams! I’m always at work during streaming, so very few times do I cheat and pop them on in the background when I’m doing office stuff. This series of videos has really helped my weekend anxiety because they keep me calm and relaxed! I’m so happy to watch you play ☺️
You can buy a Wood Chipper from Robin, to turn your hardwood (also driftwood) into regular wood. It works really well with Forest Farms, because of the daily large stumps.

"So, I couldn't hold it back any longer, and I shyly and not-so-subtly told Goobers my feelings for her with that little spirit board show when I invited into my bedroom at night. Couldn't sleep all night after she left because of my nerves after doing so. Does she like me, too? Was my message unclear? Does she even know I like her? So, I waited on Gooby's porch until she woke up, to see her as soon as possible and make sure my feelings were made clear. Next? She -ghosts- me. Forgets my birthday, even! Haven't seen or heard from her since. To my surprise, I ran into her in the woods on my way home a few nights later. Literally ran into her. What does she do? Ignores me to my face and makes me walk around her as she chops down a tree! Now I hear she's asked out Emily? Like, what the hell?! We're at eight hearts. I really thought we had something special, Gooby..." Gab, you can be so cold.🤣

It would be really interesting to see what mods, if any, Gab eventually decides to add... Likely on future playthroughs since she's been loving the vanilla version so much. From what I've seen, once people start exploring mods, they rarely play vanilla anymore, so it's nice to see her initial reactions to everything. I'd also love to see her reactions to do many of the mods, too, though... Like expanded and automation and the tractor...

while tomatoes are fruit, it's real annoying when people say they are not vegetable. They are BOTH. in different clasification. Botanically they are fruit because botany has no veggies. And also in botany some of things we consider fruit, are false fruit. Also cucumbers, eggplants, peppers are all fruit in biology but noone would consider them a fruit while shopping bcos in everyday life we have a classification of vegetables - some fruits, roots, leaves, stems. Noone argues that lettuce is not a vegetable because in botany it's leaves x.x

One thing about stardew for me is that fishing on switch is an absolute nightmare, like i want to do the community centre and stuff but i can not fish like at all, i struggle so much, buuut i do really enjoy the crops and foraging and like being friends with people, also mining seems fine so far, only a few days in so far to year 1 😅 anyway sorry fpr the super long comment, i love this series, i have a mega playlist of all the stardew videos in order, the original series into the expanded one ❤❤❤❤
EDIT: tips to make fishing easier for someone who uses a switch lite with a controller, has coordination issues and is autistic and loves stardew would be super mega helpful 🎉🎉

There are eight movies available in the Theater. Each one plays for a full season so you get to enjoy a new movie each season for two years. I have made it my goal to invite everyone possible and try to guess which movie and snack they will enjoy. I have had a few failures, but many successes too. I like how no-one turns you down, not even Krobus or the dwarf.
