I remember getting the game when it first came out. I sunk hours into it and it was calming and stuff. Couple years later and Jerma got me to play it again. The only thing i dislike is how much work i have to do to get back to where i was at originally. I changed Switch accounts and it reset all progress on every single game and i had to pay for every eshop game again. That sucked ass so i didnt play some games for some time. Im getting back into ACNH but goddamn is it a pain sometimes. Mainly just waiting for things to happen and trying to rush around to get back where i was. But this is a lot of fun and im happy im playing again.

In case anyone is actually wondering, at least if ACNH works like past games, setting the clock back to an earlier date is the same as setting it forward one day, and doesn't really break anything. The only thing it "breaks" is that random events (npcs like gulliver visiting your town) won't happen for the one day you traveled back to, but the next day things resume as normal.
(In ACNL they even acknowledge that you time travel; Periodically villagers will tell you that there are rumours about you, and if you've time traveled backward a lot, they'll say the rumours say you're a time traveler. There are no negative consequences beyond that.)

Animal Crossing always does that to me. I binge it at the start for days on end, then I never touch it anymore.
I loved all the extra tasks we could do as filler to occupy time, but the pace is too slow for what I enjoy most about the game: customizing my town.
The DLC really helped with that, since I can just mess around with houses to customize, which is amazing, but I've yet to finish it to unlock the part that extends to your villager's homes, and more than that, I want to move my stuff around town quicker and with less expenses. I'm the kind of person who would change my island's entire layout like 10 times in a year and enjoy every minute of it, but the developers *insist* that I play it the way they want to: slow and boring.
So I just don't play it, instead.
It's really the saddest fucking thing ever when I think about it. Utterly fantastic game and concept partially spoiled by developer stubbornness about how their game is "supposed to be played". At least when I'm having fun in it, I'm having a lot of fun, but I doubt there will ever truly be an Animal Crossing game I don't just entirely abandon after the first year or two.
Seeing the most deranged man play the most relaxing chills game is interesting to watch
I remember when this game came out and I developed an aggressive obsession with Blathers and my sister screamed at me because I was "hogging all of the weeds," good times lol.

@Grym you realize kids play this game right. like you know children play video games too. they dont want kids getting exposed to stuff theyre to young to see, or to be exposed to creepy strangers asking them how old they are or where they live.
@Grym what is inherently unwelcoming to all about avoiding saying bad words? or avoiding potentially exposing children to innapropriate content? thats literally what youre expected to do in real life too. youre expected to not be a constant stream of obscenities and to conduct yourself in a nonsexual manner. that's like going into a school wearing a hoodie with hentai on it and getting upset when a faculty member asks you to leave. if you see "welcoming to all" and "dont share offensive or personal material" and your immediate thought is these two are contradicting because they prefer you (not even force you!) to act like a decent person, thats a you problem. dont play the game. and id much rather watch myself and avoid making/posting innapropriate things than potentially expose a kid to something that could be upsetting or harmful to them. as a child i saw a lot of things i shouldnt have in places that were supposed to be child friendly, and ill be damned to perpetuate that cycle and hurt a kid.

Alot of what chat does is hive mind like. It's kinda nice to just turn your brain off and being dumb as fuck. And jerma, as an eclown is really good at giving in to chats entertainment. It's only really bothered me when he genuinely misses out on quality content because of chat, but that's the nature of the beast. With any community as large as jermas it's inevitable, and sometimes that means hilarious entertainment and sometimes that means us as the audience being too influential on jerma for own good.

They offer a lot to things and thats why despite the fact I miss his youtube dayss sometimes, I think streaming on twitch suits him perfectly. Idk how to explain it besides the word aggravating, but yea what you said works too- it's the audience being too influential for our own good. Maybe I'm also biased cause I hardly ever watch actual streams and just watch it on here when I have time.
