Michael Singer talks about the energy of past experiences that causes blockages in the chakras that prevent the natural energy of what he calls Shakti that is always flowing increase and experience joy.
Mindfulness cannot help release what is causing an internal disturbances.
True mindfulness would result in becoming aware of who is observing what is causing a disturbance, disturbances are always related to the thoughts of the mind and the feelings of the heart that take awareness away from focusing on who is experiencing the disturbance.
