Mine just arrived this week. I’m a big time Wandrd user/lover who already owned the PRVKE Lite and 31.” The reason I got the large 41” model is to carry a medium format kit (Fuji GFX 100S + multiple lenses).
Great review… loved the presentation. An orange or light grey interior and I’d have been ordering this over the PD45 I was deciding between, but man, that’s dark and my eyes ain’t getting better as I get older! I have no idea why bag manufacturers put so much thought into pocket design, styling, carry configs and then at the last hurdle give us a f*****g black hole! One last detail guys!! Thks for the share.
Useful and entertaining! It was very easy to hit the 496th like! I'm getting the Wandrd Provoke 31L soon and am concerned I may need the 41 for my Z9 to clear, but will try to keep it lighter for now.
Nice review style!👍 I would like to suggest a video comparison for "best videomaker backpack", imho the bag should carry a body (bmpcc please?😁), 3 cinema lens, handles and various accessories, a monitor, multiple battery/1 or 2 v-mount, media storage etc... Bonus points if it can carry: gimbal, steadycam, mattebox, tripod with video head or other big equipment Keep up the good work💪📽
Thanks so much! And this is a great recommendation, we have a 'best photography backpacks' review coming out soon. Maybe we will do a video maker one after that :D
You know, I had the 31 for a couple weeks and sent it back. The material has it's water resistance, but seriously... wouldn't the smaller sizes look killer in a Dark Multicam and orange interior? I liked the bag in general but found the side access difficult to get the zipper around and not a fan of the outer material. I am someone who really likes roll-tops, when there is alternate access like this one. However the front pocket was useless for anything other than a jacket (for me). I don't care for vertical pockets. But I did love the overall lines and compartmentalized space inside. I needed better organization. That top stash pocket was pretty awesome though. Lastly that massive g-hook on the front is way too large and almost obscene to me (as a designer). I do agree those zipper pulls are very nice! Great video as always guys!
@@Brandon-0028 thanks! What would be your recommendation at around 40l? I have the Peak Design Everyday 30l. It is just about right for daytrips with one child but I will soon have two kids and need some more room. I would need quick access to some smaller items like wipes, diapers, sunscreen etc. but also room for changing clothes and maybe two water bottles. I sometimes travel some days for work so a laptop compartment would still be great.
@@HannesHanath So I've had the PD 40/45L Travel pack and it was almost perfect for travel. The outer (expanding panel) is ideal for upwards of 8 button-downs flat packed as it acts as a compression cube when you zip the expansion back down. My only complaint were the straps, however I think they were edited in the newest release and hopefully more comfortable under load. I know what you mean as I have 7 year old. For my 1 bag travel I use the Mission Workshop Radian which is a little more my style aesthetically, with some of the Archive attachments. I flat pack a thin daily carry bag inside which takes up little room at all. I have heard great things about the GR2 40L and its on my list to try out. When there is a destination trip, I use a Zero Haliburton carryon, and a variety of day packs/edc. Currently its the Bellroy Apex, which I love.
I finally bought this one. And I like that is look slim even it’s fully packed. And you can pack a lot in it. But nothing is perfect and there is my personal little contra. With all those options snd add-ons, why they didn’t think about load lifters?? I miss them. Because when it’s packed and even if I use the hip belt, it would fit much better with load lifters. There are 16 those little things for carabiners or so on the shoulder straps, why they just didn’t give an option to use them for the load lifters. Only 2 little strappies on the top… 🤷♀️
I know it sounds simple but it’s something that would have to be included in the design brief from day 1 and for the back panel to be built around it to make the load lifters work effectively. I do agree though, I prefer load lifters on a bag this size
Great question! I’m sure there must be a way but I am in no way qualified enough of a handyman to confidently answer lol. If you find out please let me know!!!
I love this channel, and this bag! But im still on the fence about it since i have found another similar Roll Top bag. The other bag is the "Carhartt 40L Nylon Roll Top backpack", and I cannot seem to find a review of it anywhere. Could you guys at Nomads Nation possibly look in the the Carhartt roll top and possibly even do an in depth review? Thank you so much and keep up the great work yall!
How tall are you? Do you think this would look too massive on a 5'7 guy? I want the 41L to use it for traveling but also for just daily carry, I do carry a camera and tripod but that's it for photography so I'm struggling to choose between this and the smaller one
I owned one of their smaller roll tops and ended up selling it. I used it about a year or so and that is when I learned that I did not like roll tops. You can’t see what is in your bag especially with the black interior. They are great looking and nicely made bags. I just felt like the roll top was more trouble than it was worth. I have learned my ideal bag is a clamshell style because you can unzip the whole bag to acces your stuff or just unzip it partially to get what you need quickly.
@@jb.6196 yes it does open up clamshell from the back but if you want something from the top that is a different story. Still one of the best bags I’ve ever owned. The newer ones looks even better with more organization.
I've owned this bag. I've packed it out and the padding on the straps are not sufficient. These are the same straps that they have on the lite version. Couldn't agree more on high vis interiors though. I don't understand why they are so resistant. It really makes such a big difference. I love Wandrd, but these are things they need to correct. Hopefully v3 lol.
For such a large pack, you'd think it could hold a 17 inch laptop. I'm not the biggest guy, so I would've liked to see some more shots of how it fits on the body fully packed out.
@@Nomads.Nation I asked them. Took me a few emails to actually make them say that PRVKE cant fit 2 laptops. But ya wont support if you have 2 laptops that are atleast 15, then this is not for you I guess.
I've traveled often with the 41L and yes it fits when I travel with it but I don't fill it completely it's only about half full and fits under the seat
you dont talk about the large& longer camera cube ? more expensive !the pro one ! or i image it ? i would like this bag but i need more space for all my gears...mahalo for your reply

Will you be doing a review of the new 31/21L version 2?? Would like to buy it as an EDC but not entirely sure about it.
Unfortunately I will not be at this point in time, maybe check out our review on the PRVKE Light? It rocks.
