The best QBs ARE the ones that can sit in the pocket and pick apart a defesne. That will never change because football is a violent sport, so running and putting yourself at risk shortens your career. Its ok to extend a play every now and again but to he a mobile or running QB will not get you a long 15 year career because the risk of injury is so much higher than a pocket passing QB.

All of these great players in that conference never made it past Michael Jordan, and so far the same thing has happened excluding a deus ex machina run by Cincinnati in 2021. (Which ultimately forced Kansas City to reconsider its entire roster) Now the question is who will step up to take down the Chiefs? I’ll tell you right now, the naysayers may not believe me, but Patrick Mahomes is on such a different level, that he turns the switch on when he wants to. The only other one that can possibly shut down his parade is Joe Burrow and Tom Brady, but Brady is now retired. You can see last season where he purposely throws interceptions to keep the fans engaged in the game. He said it himself if he blows out other teams, it’s just not good ratings. He’s all entertainment, but sometimes it doesn’t go his way towards the end and that’s when he gets frustrated.

That’s a ridiculous take. The reason CJ is as high as he is and Purdy isn’t is due to the effect he has on his team and their game. Purdy has an insane offense built around him, one that any half decent QB could make a championship run with not to mention having one of the best offensive minds of all time in his corner, but CJ came into a horrible Houston team with no name receivers a rookie HC and OC, and made them a playoff team and contender in one year as a rookie. I'm really torn. I want to say yes because it's GOAT Mahomes and KC, but at the same time, I remember what happened in 2005 with New England. SO many injuries and they got destroyed in Denver. They're starting to pile up a little too much on the off-season distractions for my liking (I'm a Chiefs fan, so this isn't 'wishful thinking' from a different fan base). Add in the regular season games can start to feel meaningless through the season playing for a championship, we saw it at times last year where they seemed to lack a sense of urgency, can't expect to just 'turn it on' at just the right time every year.

I’ll tell you right now, the naysayers may not believe me, but Patrick Mahomes is on such a different level, that he turns the switch on when he wants to. The only other one that can possibly shut down his parade is Joe Burrow and Tom Brady, but Brady is now retired. You can see last season where he purposely throws interceptions to keep the fans engaged in the game. He said it himself if he blows out other teams, it’s just not good ratings. He’s all entertainment, but sometimes it doesn’t go his way towards the end and that’s when he gets frustrated.

That’s a ridiculous take. The reason CJ is as high as he is and Purdy isn’t is due to the effect he has on his team and their game. Purdy has an insane offense built around him, one that any half decent QB could make a championship run with not to mention having one of the best offensive minds of all time in his corner, but CJ came into a horrible Houston team with no name receivers a rookie HC and OC, and made them a playoff team and contender in one year as a rookie. He elevated his offense while Purdy played within the expected standards for his. Having said that Purdy should absolutely be a Top 10 QB imo, but I wouldn’t rate him higher than Stroud.

I'm really torn. I want to say yes because it's GOAT Mahomes and KC, but at the same time, I remember what happened in 2005 with New England. SO many injuries and they got destroyed in Denver. They're starting to pile up a little too much on the off-season distractions for my liking (I'm a Chiefs fan, so this isn't 'wishful thinking' from a different fan base). Add in the regular season games can start to feel meaningless through the season playing for a championship, we saw it at times last year where they seemed to lack a sense of urgency, can't expect to just 'turn it on' at just the right time every year.
