WW is great. Food is great too. Best place to stay is south of the resort in Ymir. Hotel Ymir is quiet but cheap(dirt cheap!!!! with shared bathrooms) and eclectic. Loaded with art and the saloon has an awesome weekend live music scene. Bring your own mushrooms and watch out for the dwarfs, elves and gnomes. Whitewater is 1000ft higher base than Red Mtn which is a double well worth doing. Revelstoke is due north. If you fly into Spokane WA and drive 2 hours north you hit WW. The main town is Nelson. Reds town is Rossland and awesome. Gets my vote for the most down to earth authentic ski town. At end of day you can ski down to the town for bonus vert...watch out for mineshafts...Red Mtn was a gold mine. PIN this please! Enjoy your vids...subscribed. Next tour to Banff area drop me a line. Try and hit Sunshines end of season party the Slush Cup...one of the best!!!
Yo Robert - the slush cup at Sunshine sounds sick. Very down to check out some more resorts next season. Hoping to bring a few more sponsors on board so I can do some more inter mountain travel and meet more cool locals!

Is there a farmers market? Would be hilarious to post up there. Can always ship it to you if you're interested. Send me a dm on insta or an email at riseandalpine@gmail.com
As a spoiled Utahn, I always thought that with interior BC's reputation for pow, it had a climate like the Intermountain West. Went up to Whitewater last year and encountered conditions like the Pacific Northwest, bottomless unskiable glop and dreary, wet, miserable weather. And the resort didn't even see fit to run a snowcat over a few runs so the customers could at least have a fun day. Learned the hard way that as a tourist, you don't have a choice of which day to ski, you have to deal with the conditions that exist on the day you're there. (Unlike a local.) Obviously WW must get better days! Nelson is an interesting and scenic town, though.
Nelson is super cool eh. I agree that you can only truly experience a mountain if you ski there every weekend. I'd love to have a deep and cold WhiteWater day. At Whistler, you gotta push through some variable weather days, but when you hit it those good days, no better place on Earth (minus the lines).
You are so lucky you can still ski and snowboard I can’t because my mountain closed due to the temperatures warming up I snowboard on grouse Mountain so it’s kind of sad to see the season ends so quickly 😢
It's too bad they closed early - there is actually a lot of snow up there. I just hiked up cypress to ski down last night. I miss the days when they used to keep the Screaming eagle open until June and would turn the cut into a mega terrain park.
I lived in the koots and had a seasons pass for 3 yrs at whitewater. The didn't have the back country lift back then. The good ol days of having to hitchhike back up the road in the back of pickup truck after boarding the back country. Man thx for the epic vid
Oh they were the "glory" days lol. Yeah man virgin runs 6 hrs a day every day for a solid 90 days every season. There was even a hut that us locals would keep stocked with some kootenai gold and rolling papers in a mason jar lol. Best powder in BC outside of kicking horse but debatable 🤙
This one was a go pro hero 11 on a chest mount for most of it. I flipped between the superview and hyperview (widest fov). Totally looks like a video game in the trees.
I need to see your buddies perspective...You have very happy forward hand action ;) Obviously working for you, but the type A in me is inquisitive lol.
@@riseandalpinetalk to me next year, I've got a few bones to heal rn 😅 Though tbh I don't think I can keep up with all the lines you hit, need a few more years under my belt for that
I’ve been skiing whitewater a bunch over the last ten years, and it’s the best tree skiing. the trees are spaced like someone placed them on a lego board.
Hey Tyler, no playlist. I get the no copyright music from epidemic sound. If you want a specific song send me the time stamp and I can try and figure out what it is!
Thanks for the input :). It's tough because the GoPro shows more speed and realistic but has shake and the insta360 is buttery smooth but is a tad slower and more distorted. We need someone to marry these two devices together!

Thank you OP! I went to Fernie this past March, the smaller resorts are where its at!
Imagine having that old two person chairlift in whistler today
The line would stretch all the way into Squamish hahahaha
How dare you ruin the secret!
Whitewater is a fantastic spot. A "busy day" on a long weekend was, like, five minutes in the lift line.
Such a dreamy spot!
You are living the dream, for the rest of us too. Enjoy , life's short.
(Just be careful and don't take unnecessary risks)
Thanks for looking out for me. I'm always thinking about safety first! Trying to have fun and stay healthy until I'm old and grey.
What a post season treat... Thanks for letting me live vicariously ❤ glad you had a good time James
Glad I could feed & feel the powder void for ya Jimmy!
the jealousy I have seeing yall out west still getting days in vs here in the east I've been done for a month 😂

This video was from before Easter but we are totally still shredding WB. You gotta move west :)
Man, I need to try a bottle of your liquid courage... Blackcomb Farmers Market gaper day sale?

what a waste of 5 hours XD
I know right.. So many unbelievable touring options in Nelson and we managed to prop ourselves in some steep and thick foilage hahaha.
@@riseandalpine That's amazing, Thanks for replying to my comment that made my day. You're a real one bro (;
Man I wish I could still be skiing, my local mountain closed last month and I’ve been to busy to visit any other ones still open.😢
The start of summer is so bitter sweet
Whitewater sucks. Stay Home!
The absolute worst eh

I heard those days without the glory ridge lift were epic! Untracked all the time.

just fkn chargin
Point and go!
Best Camera angle and POV , very gamer like , see the terrain ahead and freshy look! What you using ??

Seriously not worth the trip Front Range Colorado as good or better easier to get to.
I’ll let you know if I agree when I visit CO

Which video game is it? Couldn’t you set the resolution higher?
Nice tree spacing. Trash is too tight for me and too much effort.
The spacing was incredible across the whole mountain. Almost felt like it was selectively logged. Paradise!

i35 with the top down 🌶️
got my hot sauce lastnight, shit is the bomb
Hell yes my dude!!! So stoked you got to taste the skiing nectar!
Be careful though... It's addictive hahaha

"I'm breathing so hard I'm dizzy." - Probably the most accurate summary of a top to bottom rip of bound for glory I've ever heard
How good is Whitewater on a deep pow day??
Wish mountains were still open near me. My first year skiing and i was just getting into blacks :(
Yo Izzy! So stoked to hear that you were hitting blacks on your first year of skiing, that's super sick. It's only going to get more fun from here :)
nice
I live there shred all the time it’s the best
That's sick Jakub - would be such a great spot to be a local. Loads of cool terrain in Nelson.
For sure 😊
what binding are you using, pivot?
I run a marker jester as my resort binding on the 104's and a marker duke PT as my AT binding on my 115's
nice
i will try to check this out when i have more time..
Sweet! You won't regret it.
looks like the 104 Free like fresh pow
Never knew about this!
Such a sweet resort!
siiiiiiickkkkk
Gotta check it out!
Reece and I are thinking about going! I'll reach out man! I wanna pin er down some of those little slackcountry chutes
chest mounted footage - a little too shaky
