I just did my drivers side valve cover gasket on my 16 ram 1500. Took me 4 hrs! What a nightmare lol. Yes you can remove it without taking anything off other than the coils and injector plugs but putting it back on is the problem. The gasket gets pushed out while trying to wedge the cover back on so what helps is removing the brake booster bolts on the left side and loosening the ones on the right side and that will give you enough room to move it about a 1/2” to the side. I also moved the dip stick tube over it’s just held on by 1 nut. Also I’d use whatever product is recommended to “glue” the gasket in place so it doesn’t come out when trying to get the cover back on.
I have only done that one side, so I’m not sure if they are identical. If you’re doing both sides, I would just lay one of the gaskets on the on top of the other, and see if they are of the same. Good luck
I put new cam lifters and put the mds pugs in so no more 4 cylender mode shit. One of the lifter spun sidways in the basket is why i had missfire problems. But with anything just take your time and everything gose smooth
@@justbraaapit2311 -have you seen any difference in your MPG! Mine sucks with the MDS. I had to rebuild the top end of my engine because a valve spring broke. I replaced all the lifters, rods valve springs, put a new cam, new water pump new timing chain, and oil pump. I did not plug the MDS through.

Use a mechanics mirror to check to make sure the gasket is still in place before bolting it down
😂😂😂😂 you did it again???
I was trying not to remove the booster and looking for other possibilities but after your shared experience, so it shall be. Thank you.
Yes! Hope you were successful also!
Brother you are a legend best tip ever 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
I remove the bolt from the main bracket that mount to the firewall
Great video!!! Helped me a lot, ,thanks.
My driver side is leaking on my 2011 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi . Thanks for this info much appreciated.
Does it matter which gasket goes on which side?

@@JoeOrnelas73 I only need to do passenger side... But can only find gaskets in pairs.
@@bettabegoodjr2104yes they are two different sizes
No there interchangeable!!!
Both sides are the same
Did you have a missfire is to why you took valve cover off?
It was leaking pretty bad
That's why I am doing it. How did everything go for you?

@@ericelleser6874-it went better after I figured out that the brake booster was what I needed to move! Hope you got your job completed

U can remove it without doing anything with the booster, getting the new gasket to stay on is the hard part
I should figure it out, but a lot smarter than me could
Thanks for posting
Thank you!
The struggle is real!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
He said da ac lines are in the room lmao its standing room only on da drivers side lmao
