My favorite seed gundam. 😊 I own every version of it. My only complaint is the blast, regenes and Blanche are p bandai. Really??? It's the same kit as the impulse and sword with color swap and different back pack's. However It's worth the money if you can get a decent deal on any of them. 😊
I would love if we got another seed based series. It really could have been awesome. Maybe a Gundam seed astray series or something after destiny with new characters
on both Impulse and Strike the beam sabers are equipment that they get from their backpack. so when they aren't using their Aile/Force backpack they don't have beam sabers.
The cockpit being sealed is not for the AI. Normal impulse is like that as well. It has to do with the separating gimmick that the kit has. It’s supposed to be a hatch that closes off the core splendor cockpit from the outside. Kind of an odd design choice for a model kit.
15:21 “One small disappointing thing that I guess I could point out is that we don’t have a new pilot figure for this. I wish we would’a got the new pilot figure of Elsa Weiss, that pilot that we saw in the manual in the unboxing.” Excerpted from gundam.fandom.com/wiki/Elsa_Weiss "Elsa has also developed the strange quirk of going into combat naked. She attributes this to her enhanced sensory capabilities as a combat coordinator. The closer she gets to full nudity the better she feels she can process data from her Mobile Suit. Despite being her creator, even Dante thinks this is very bizarre behavior, and he frequently recommends that she suit up before going into combat. Elsa attributes her behavior to poor planning on Dante's part."
I think the absence of the beam sabers is because the impulse Gundam uses the force silhouette pack for them. As the destiny Gundam doesn’t use regular beam swords, his wings doesn’t have them. I think it would have been nice to get the Anti-Ship sword.
Should be mentioned that the little bit inside the cockpit is present on the standard MG Impulse as well - given that the pilot should technically be in the Core Splendor which actually inserts into the mobile suit on the standard version of the kit, it's likely meant to just be another cockpit hatch cleverly designed to cover up the fact that the Core Splendor's cockpit doesn't line up perfectly with the door and has the pilot looking straight down. With the back addon that allows for Striker Pack compatibility, it seems to also cover up the fact that there's not really a cockpit in there at all, since the Core Splendor can't insert with that attached.
The beam rifles actually double as beam sabers in-universe but I've yet to find any that fit in the barrels without modification yet. The regular Impulse also comes with that back connection for other Seed backpacks, and it's extremely easy to remove it to stick the core splendor in again. The in-universe reason the Destiny Impulse R removes the core splendor is because the cockpit is moved inside the Destiny R silhouette. Also, you missed the pull out sections on the sides of the deployed shield as well.
The more I see it the more it grows on me, I think I'd throw some slightly darker grey paint to break it up a bit more, while still keeping the simplicity of the colors
Someone else said it below, I think, but the back beam cannons also have a beam saber that comes from the barrels. Unfortunately, Bandai chose not to include the ability to do this in this kit. Nothing a little drilling or modification cannot fix, but it does suck that they didn't include it out of the box. At any rate, I am definitely looking to get this kit. I have the Sword Impulse, which is a fantastic kit. I agree that the White Destiny Impulse R is the way to go.
Fumny thing is this is the strip down version after zaft gave up on the orginal who would have guess that puting all the weapon of a nuclear power ms and puting it on a battery power one was a bad idea. It wasn't even supposed to be used for aces but as a testbed for the destiny as result the frame could not handle the destiny back pack and the energy cost was 3x more and aces were force to used it so with a help if a private company they strip it down reinforce the frame by taking out the core splendor features and turn it to a support pack and gave it to all aces not worthy of geting a destiny also the mono eye gundam head is used for the support ms di adaga which in theroy if both suit are used are supposed to be as strong as a destiny gundam as for the orginal destiny impulse gundam there were 4 made given to aces
Can't speak to the lore of the show, but the MG Sword Impulse has the same solid panel behind the opening cockpit hatch. Probably something to do with the core fighter gimmick.
about decals.. probably same positions as the Destiny Impulse R?? it's almost the same, but it's a really lazy and expensive way to get a decal instruction... XD
While this one seems like nice looking kit it doesn't seem to be worth it's P-Bandai price. To me there just isn't enough to justify dropping money to get this.
Hey Zack! I totally love you and your reviews and i've hardly ever found anything i didn't agree with you about. But for the love of the french gods, please, don't pronounce blanche (which means white) like that xD. This is sort of a recurring theme, a lot of Seed suits have the french color names gimmick to them, like strike rouge (red), strike noir (black) etc.etc.. Dam near 3 years too late but, Elsa had a thing for piloting the MS naked. You could attribute that to why there wasn't the right pilot figure
Lol that would have been interesting
That Mono-eye head is really cool, per-usual, SEED might be pretty bad but the designs are sick as hell.
Only thing good from the Seed series are the mecha design and the soundtrack lol, everything else was pretty much a train wreck
@@Sunnyboy-ob4xz pilot suits and uniforms looks nice too imo

Yes
No
maybe
The "bird" head is looks to be a inverted Kerberos head from the BuCUE Hound Kerberos
What would you expect from a unit made by ZAFT?! 😂😂😂

What’s the standard impulse kit? Is it the force?

does MG destiny's wings of light compatible to this?
Yeah they are.

Actually the Beam Cannons can produce beam sabers from the tip.
what's the difference between the first release and the reissued release?
Speaking of mono eyes, do you know that the Astray Amatsu mina has one over its twin eyes?
as a fan of Impulse Gundam, i really want this kit
i like the mono eye
review mg Astraea type f [HS] pls
With the release of the new HGCE Destiny, I’m expecting a P-Bandai HGCE Destiny Impulse and then this.
The more I see it the more it grows on me, I think I'd throw some slightly darker grey paint to break it up a bit more, while still keeping the simplicity of the colors
The cannons double as beam sabers, I guess they didn't bother to make them able to fit the beam blade parts.
Why does the captions say condom ?
This gundam is so clean bro, love the colors.

Sheeet, that Impulse rifle is dope
so, astray noir for the next review?
Blanche, a female given name: ultimately from a Germanic word meaning “white.”

red frame astray maybe?

If only they made the astray noir D which is just puting the backpack of this into the astray noir
if only the bird head has an articulated neck that allows it to be folded up flush to the backpack but overall still a nice looking kit.
All the pure white and few red colors makes me unsee the "Talgeese" color design. xD
I totally dig the amount of white on that kit.
You're getting close to 100k!!! Got anything cool planned for when you reach it?
Impulse is one of the sleekest looking Gundam out there. Especially Sword Impulse Gundam.
i think u must add decal before reviewing
Kit looks great. My one gripe with all seed kits is their hands. They look too large. Just me though.
TFW you can't get the backpack by itself

there is a face on its torso.... ugh, can't be unseen...
I heard 'bird' and I know you don't like like bird theme Gundams.
Now I'm wondering on a scale of 1 to 10, how you like this kit.
This one need paired with Astray Noir
Nice, dude!
Only Bandai would put more detail underneath than on top :). So funny.
elsa is on blue frame d

I had been trying to do a white joke without sounding racist so... The pilot looks really hot.
This Kit seems small for a MG , is it compared to other MG kits ?
Nope, its the standard size for an MG. It's size is comparable to the Destiny Gundam.
I was thinking the same thing. It looks small when held in his hand
