    I think the "fully electrify" Lexus line up, also includes Hydrogen Fuel Cells. That would be perfect as range extender to BEVs.

    • @webcomment8895
      @webcomment8895 2 года назад +8

      It can’t be perfect unless there were hydrogen fuel stations available for use on road trips.
      Perfect would be faster charging and not add more complexity with hydrogen fuel on an EV.

    • @seogabonotjah6555

    • @nanowar1192
      @nanowar1192 2 года назад +2

      If you haven't own any Hydrogen car before let me sum this up for you. Hydrogen fuel cells is bull shit, just ask any owner of Mirai in California. The problem is that Hydrogen is as much expensive as gas if not more, lack of filling station is one problems but even when you have one it constantly running out of Hydrogen. When you do have Hydrogen the filling hose would be constantly froze due to many car filling, you would have to wait 5-10m between each fill when this happen. The capacity of the fuel cell also only last around 200 miles and it took a lots of space, you literally dont have any cargo space in the trunk of the Mirai.

    • @RogerM88
      @RogerM88 2 года назад

      @@nanowar1192 if the ultimate goal it's to reduce emissions. Then Hydrogen makes perfect sense. Especially with a Hybrid system. Smaller battery packs, means more affordable cars, and smaller Carbon Footprint. What Hydrogen needs is to invest in infrastructure.

    I've had a few Lexus vehicles, all of which have been great cars. My current is a 2009 RX350. Fantastic vehicle, so reliable and smooth.
    You can tell that Lexus is competing very hard this year, and it is crazy cool to see how far they've come in only, what, 14 model years since my vehicle? The designs are really bold, but honestly look SO MUCH BETTER than the oversized grill throughout the 2010s. Hopefully these will be just as reliable as the gasoline models. We're going to have to wait and see what people's experiences are in the next 10-15 years. Since Toyota has been playing with batteries since the original Prius, I imagine they'll be pretty reliable vehicles.

    Thanks Kirk. The Lexus RZ is a very comfortable and well balanced car, and it's the first car there I have managet to go longer trips as passenger after I was disabled and bedridden of too high immune response from the corona vaccine which attacked my nerveous system. I have often been completely exhausted in shorter trips because of a sort of vibrations most people don't notice. The Lexus RZ450e had nothing of this with good damping. I knew Lexus can make comfortable cars because my wifes Lexus UX300e Luxury is also relatively good at the same, but in the RZ I didn't get tired at all. I'm looking forward to we will get that Lexus and be able to travel with my wife to visit grand children and other family. It's maybe other cars out there with the same level of comfort, but the Lexus RZ was the best we have tested, and besides the incredible service level and reliability by Toyota and Lexus this Lexus is a car which ticks all our boxes. A big thanks to Kirk for his review. Best regards from Norway

    I think the weakness in the design of the RZ is the rear and side. The side looks like it has too much going on with the crazy cuts and it looks like it wanted to be wider and lower(based on the concept) but production didn't allow it. I also don't really like the bar taillight. They couldve done something cool like the old NX jewel taillights. However the front looks awesome. The interior is also pretty cool.

    I have been saving for the RZ electric to buy one in 5 years. I will wait until the side mirrors have cameras and there is more development in the charging infrastructure. I like the idea of the steer by wire and the direct 4 system. I hope Lexus add the Rear Wheel Steering to more models. I want the RZ to also have the Rear Wheel Steering to help with sharp turns. If Lexus does not incorporate the Rear wheel steering in the next three years, I will write a letter to Toyota Motor Corporation suggesting to add rear wheel steering to the RZ I will order.

      They have to artifically boost steering at low speeds. They don't cause I've heard ppl use this have issues do a 3 point turn. But they should. If your going to do this at low speeds that wheel should allow for extremely delicate high turns. There is a lot of programming to be done on that. It needs to allow for those maneuvers w/ out the need for a complete turn of the yoke yet be resistant to bumps or jerks from the driver who would snap a neck if the programing were not tuned.

    요크핸들을 제외하면 미래적인 느낌이 전혀없습니다. 헤드라이트 아래 다크써클은 애프터마켓에서 필름지 붙인것같고 차를 저렴하게 만드네요.

    For sure it needs a Paint Protection Firm on the front bumper if the owner plan on keep it for at least a year without missing paint. It’s gonna be a pain in the ass to have to gone through all those tiny curves at the both sides near the black paint.

    Dang is it really that hard for Tesla to catch up to these interiors and materials quality? I love my Tesla but it would be 100x better with these type of materials and interior details.
