- After wrapping up everything we wanted to wrap up, it's time to put our plan to execution, speak to Date and this'll get things going, after cutscenes revealing more about all the involved parties' gambit, we have four fights, one for each protagonist.
First fight: Akiyama VS Arai, who's basically a mirror to Akiyama, he's got quick attacks and a lot of kicks, including some very nasty dodge strikes, not proud of my performance there, but the main goal was to beat him with no items, and that's a success.
Second fight: Saejima VS Kido, much like Arai is a mirror to Akiyama, Kido mirrors Saejima's strength, but thankfully not to the same extent, so you can power through his moves, he'll heal a few times, but he can only delay the inevitable.
Third fight: Kiryu VS Daigo, a pretty straightforward fight, Daigo doesn't have any standout move, but he's a balanced fighter, thankfully, Kiryu is much stronger and so the fight is nothing too difficult.
Fourth fight: Tanimura VS Munakata... and his many bodyguards, this is a painful fight because you will get attacked from all sides while Munakata fires at you, the three pieces of the Sacred Tree set make you immune to bullets, but will still force you into a blocking stance, nothing to do but remove enemies one by one until only Munakata is left, thankfully he's pitifully weak on his own.
And then we get to see the ending at last!
0:00 No turning back.
13:54 Four Face, Akiyama VS Arai.
21:08 Four Faith, Saejima VS Kido.
25:43 For Face, Kiryu VS Daigo.
29:40 For Faith, Tanimura VS Munakata.

The idea of having all four main characters wear tuxedoes is just like the final battle in A Better Tomorrow 2 except that there’s no guns
It's always a big moment when all four main characters dress to match each other.

The Yakuza 4... Remastered!
🔥🔥🔥✍️
it's the breaking bad !
We are the uakuza 4
Better than Avengers or any other team if you ask me
Plot twist: Akiyama survived the shot due to built up bullet resistance after being shot by Saigo so many times
Saigo truly knows the best tricks to train soldiers, it's like a vaccine!
And he got the fat stacks thing from yakuza 5
Akiyama: rush style
Taiga: beast style
Tanimura: brawler style
Kiryu: dragon style
Zero and Kiwami Kiryu really took some of the best parts of his future comrades-in-arms! Though he doesn't have Tanimura's most central tool of the parry as a Brawler.
@@MrLemmy82 ironically, the parry is given to him instead in rush style...
Tanimura is snake style
nah, akiyama's style got turned into breaker style, tanimura's is the one that got turned to rush

There is a joke among Japanese fans in this final boss
Akiyama: Okay everyone, pick an ass to kick, I dib on Daigo-san
Saejima: Daigo-han, then
Tanimura: Daigo, of course
Kiryu: Daigo
Daigo: WTF?
Like, seriously, stop bully him! He might do something stupid now and then but can you blame him when he got surrounded by those greedy bastard? But yeah, it just a joke, Daigo seems pretty popular among fans after all.
Daigo messes up every now and then, but he still does his best and mostly manages to keep the Tojo Clan running even through bad times!
Kiryu: Yo, Akiyama! Where’s your tie?
Akiyama: I just wanna fight casually so, I don’t need a tie
Saejima: Who gives a crap about fashion? If ya wanna kick some butts, ya gotta stick with what ya got!
Dress up to fit in with the buddies, but bring your own personal touch to it, that's the best way to do it!
@@MrLemmy82 It'd be cool that the four opponents of the four protagonists and the Shadow Syndicate Lieutenant would be the penultimate bosses at Tokyo International Airport in the third Judgment game. RGG should make some final battles about it. Like on the scene of the Final Chapter: The Battle For Life, at the airport terminal, Higashi fight his opponent firstly, Kaito fight his opponent secondly, Sugiura fight his opponent thirdly and Yagami fight his opponent fourthly. And last but not least, Yagami and Kaito fight the Shadow Syndicate Lieutenant and his men in the hanger while Higashi and Sugiura keep Mafuyu and girls safe.
@@MrLemmy82 at the very least he is doing better than Kiryu every would be. The man would make a great enforcer and advisor but holy shit, his gullibility, kindheartedness and inability to make the hard call will sink Tojo within the first few years
Just beat Y4, honestly loved it a lot. Had I played it when it was fresh and there was nothing else after it, I def would've spent time on NG+ and doing all the extra stuff. But for now I'm off to 5, 6, and 7. Still, I did not expect to like this as much as I did, this series really holds up.
4 brought a lot to the table when it comes to the series, and it certainly has a lot going for it!
But NG+ is indeed a big time investment, especially when you have other games to experience in the series!
Yakuza 4 Akiyama: Okay, who gets to kick who's ass?
Yakuza 4 R Akiyama: Okay, everyone pick an ass to kick.
I like the sound of the remasters subtitles haha
The redone localization definitely flows better than the old one in a lot of places!
@@MrLemmy82only children believe in dragons
@@pyroferno4644 The well-known and accurate translation of "Ikimasu!" indeed! They took some liberties in certain parts, for sure.
I like that both the order of the guys leaving the memorial and the way they wear their suits all speak to the character's personality.
It's very nice how they all match but still keep their unique touches indeed.
I finished 4 last week and I gotta say them coming out of the helicopter with money falling everywhere was awesome but the one thing I hated and the only thing was being swarmed by like 20 body guards I almost used all my heals for tannimura
Yeah, Tanimura was sadly saddled with one of the worst final bosses in the series' history, which is a sad way to end such a fun game!
See, Bodyguard Captain was the only final fight I had an easy time with when I played for the first time.
As far as I could tell, Tanimura getting Komaki Pistol Disarm from his Master sidequest was specifically given for spamming in that fight.
It might have also helped my enjoyment that I saw the enemies stopping me getting a punch of Munakata as continuing the Dynamic Intro all the way to the end. I had to use every trick I had and go above and beyond 20 minibosses all at once just to actually attack him
@@SkyeFyre2131 Tanimura is definitely given the tools to deal with that fight, yeah, and thankfully, otherwise it could be even worse!

New serena music from yakuza 3-5 has been stuck in my head for a full week nonstop its crazy
It's a very good ambient track for sure, the kind that really sticks with you!
11:27 Suzaku, Genbu, Byakko, and Seiryu descend to chew bubble gum and kick ass.
With the four Holy Beasts reunited, nothing can stand against them!
I legit like Shun Akiyama fighting style + Kiryu fighting style in this game is nice too
Akiyama's fast kicks are always fun to play with! And in the right hands very busted too. And Kiryu is always a powerhouse in any situation for sure.
Kiryu style is the same as in yakuza 3
It’ll be awesome that each four playable characters in matching black tuxedo fighting their opponents and the final boss at Tokyo International Airport in Judgment 3. Just those guys fighting their opponents on the rooftop in this game.
holy hell, Saejima is the boss fight for Kido
it's insane how powerful he looks in this fight lmao
Kido is simply no match for the absolute powerhouse that is Saejima, this is nowhere close to a fair fight, more like a harsh lesson for the kid!
Thanks once again Lemmy for bringing another great Yakuza game to your channel! Together with your excellent gameplay, in coordination with a great story the entertainment is always a pleasure to watch, as well as being a helpful guide, to anybody needing help with missions. Keep up the great work! 👍👍👍👍🏴
Thank you for being along for the ride! The Yakuza series is one of my favorites so I'm delighted to be able to share it with people who also enjoy it! :)
@@MrLemmy82 It was actually yourself that introduced me to the series and I am thoroughly enjoying playing them myself, so I have yourself to thank.👍👍👍
Then I did my job right! Happy I could help you discover a new series for you to enjoy!
@@MrLemmy82 It’d be awesome that Judgment 3 would be like a Yakuza 4 and 5 story. RGG should make a third game about it. Like each four playable characters like Yagami, Kaito, Higashi and Sugiura in the main story chapters. And for Saori, she would be a playable character in one chapter.

Breaking Munakata's bones is a very satisfying finish for sure!
@@MrLemmy82 And the screen going reversed colors, almost like white and black.
Just finished 4 last month, and i have to say it is one of the greatest games in the series aside from zero and kiwami, i like 4 as follows:
1. The story is all about betrayal and justice which makes the story interesting.
2. Corruption is everywhere in the corporate sector (even in the law enforcement) which it is related in real life.
2. Akiyama's humor added some life to the story not just pure drama and action.
3. All 4 characters personality are well blended in the story and it is time to introduce new characters not just kiryu.
4. The combat system in 4 has improved since the previous games.
5. The 4 characters represent the 4 wind gods.
Kiryu - Dragon
Taiga - Tiger
Akiyama - Scion
Tanimura - Tortoise
And Finally...
6. Hana Chan is one hot chick.
4 is a very fun game indeed, and the characters introduced in it are a nice breath of fresh air!
And nice Hana-chan appreciation!
Akiyama is the vermillion bird
@@komodrasteel8019What about a phoenix?
@@thefinthechat923 nope a phoenix is not a cardinal direction god this game mcs animals are based on the four cardinal direction gods
What I like about the fourth and true final boss is that unlike the other three final bosses where playable characters go shirtless, Tanimura still has his business suit as usual instead of being shirtless when fighting Munakata.
Yeah, it sets him apart in that he's no Yakuza, nor even in it as a matter of pride, he's just there to remove a corrupt cop from a position of power!
i accidentally skipped the cutscene right before akiyama was shot. im going to cry 😭 hes my favorite (not like he died it was just shocking for a sec)
That is some timing to skip that cutscene for sure! At least there are videos to see what you skipped, so there's that!
Man, if it wasnt for that Pistol Desarm ability you get from Kimaki I could've never finish this game.
Poor Tanimura man he didn't deserve such bad boss fight
The game really ends on a stinker of a boss for Tanimura, yeah. The Komaki Firearm Flip and the Sacred Tree Set make it a lot more bearable, but still not fun at all.
I delete the game in that boss fight and watch the ending here.
@@MegaBlackbur I don't blame you, Munakata is a really terrible boss.
I forgot i even had it-
I prefer the boss desc on original one than the remastered one, because of the details
Everytime you hear 'Makenezo' that means: I won't lose, 'Mada mada' means: Not over yet or Not done yet
That's understandable indeed, the originals had some extra flair to them.
Very common sentences in that sort of setting indeed!
@@MrLemmy82 the example is the boss desc for Takeshi Kido, we won't know who he is unless we look at the original one or follow the story, the desc in original says 'Junior Leader of Tojo Clan's Kanemura Enterprises' If I'm not mistaken, also for Hiroaki Arai, the desc says 'Lieutenant of Tojo Clan's Kanemura Enterprises' but in the remastered one, it says 'Kanemura Enterprises Captain', so, is Lieutenant as same as Captain? I don't know
Kiryu throws punch:
Daigo: HYAA

Munakata's infectious evil laugh
He must've been practicing that one!
I love the gunshot fake out considering someone always gets shot at the end. They definitely knew what they were doing lol
They know how to play around with expectations sometimes!
Why didnt tanimura and akiyama rip their shirts violently like kiryu and saejima
The secret skill of dramatic shirt removal is a Yakuza-only thing, it seems!
It's Yakuza only privilege
I let out a sigh of relief when Akiyama was okay...
I don't know about you, but I ship him and Hana
The game really tried to give us a scare at the last moment, but money saved the day!
They're a nice pair for sure, fit each other quite well, and Hana is cute too! She deserves his attention after working so hard for him.
I've always thought that Kiryu, Akiyama and Saejima should have helped Tanimura after their fight
It is pretty funny when you realize these battles aren't taking place at the same time, but one after the other and nothing prevents those who won their fight from going to help indeed!
Sucks Tanimura never came back, I may not like his gameplay but I liked him as a character
His gameplay could've been improved if he had the opportunity to return, Yagami's Snake style is something he could've evolved into, but alas, he never got the chance!
So what happened to Kido? And Daigo seemed to have gotten no punishment other than the ass beating
It's completely unknown what happened to Kido after all that. And since he's based on a real actor, I highly doubt he'll ever return for a clarification as well.
I guess getting his ass beaten by Kiryu is a harsh enough punishment for Daigo, at least!
The credit music is Rolling Eyes Fall Down The Dragon Wall, Thank me later.
I think you mixed a few things up, Rolling Eyes Fall Down The Dragon Wall is Kiryu's battle theme in 7. The Credits music here seems to be a mix of the classic Receive You and The Ballad version of it.
Man i really want the music when kiryu talks to date in the end
Sadly these tracks are often unreleased, you might be able to find it on RUclips by searching for Yakuza 4 Unreleased Tracks, but it could take some effort!
Idk wtf i'm doing wrong but my 3 last guys are a fucking chimera..they all move and attack at the exact same time with 3 different attacks like a whirlwind of knives and fists i CAN NOT fucking touch them i fucking hate this fight so much.
Yeah, the last fight is absolutely atrocious in this game, best thing you can do is either run around enough to separate them, or bust out weapons.
Good gameplay
Thank you!
This is genuinely the best ending in the series. After all the garbage they and Yasuko went through they just say screw it and force all the players to reveal themselves. It's the first time any RGG protagonist is clearly on top in the final battle, they're the ones in power here. They flew in in their chopper in their funeral suits and decided to whoop ass. That's writing baby
It's definitely a very badass ending that just feels good to go through! Until you fight Munakata where it doesn't feel very good, but aside from that, great stuff!
bOdY GUaRd cAPTaiN
The true final boss here!
the ost that plays at 48:58 what is it called
I tried looking for it in the OST and the unreleased tracks, but no luck so far. I'll keep you updated if I do find it at some point.
@@MrLemmy82 Thanks man
Played through this game for the first time, got to munakata and just couldn’t handle it. Worst boss I’ve played yet. Amazing game though
Munakata is a real blemish on the end of that game, yeah. If you've been thorough with completing substories and trainings for the character you might have the three pieces of the Sacred Wood set, putting those on Tanimura will help a lot since it lets you block bullets, and he'll automatically guard them if you're standing normally.
No save option for this? Really?! Got to last fight with the guy with the gun and his entourage with all the knives and realized how f'ing stupid it is staying up to bother with this kind of crap. Deleting the game and deleting 5 also. Will never play another Yakuza game ever again. Also stopping Game Pass.
trudging through this games awfully weritten story to the worst final boss ever, beating it only for the game to crash on me was the worst spit in the face ever. i have never seen any media franchise go from such peak to such shit. i am not excited for 5
Ouch, the crash is truly the last straw there. For what it's worth, most people would agree that this game's story is one of the weakest in the series and that its final boss is the worst, 5's story can be silly at times (But better than 4's) and its final boss is definitely *much* better than 4's at least.
@@MrLemmy82 well i just jumped into 5 and it seems prty good so far. feels very familiar to 0 and i like where the story is headed with kiryu using a fake name and stuff, maybe i shouldn't get my hopes too high though? after 4 it feels like i was robbed out of my time and a promising story
@@icannibalizepeopleforfun At the very least, I can assure you 5 ends on a much better note than 4, so there's that!
