Yakuza 5 Remastered - Final Bosses and Ending

- With everything we wanted done, we slept to the right time and it's time to get things moving! After talking to Akiyama (You'd talk to Kiryu if you play Akiyama), we're off! And it turns out Majima is being held hostage in the Millenium Tower, prompting our boys to head there, but they soon end up surrounded and Saejima and Shinada have to make their escape while Kiryu and Akiyama fight, you can pick whichever character you like, I went with Akiyama here.
The first enemies are extremely weak but later waves are a bit stronger, eventually Kanai himself joins the battle, beat him to end that part.
After that, the action switches to Saejima and Shinada fighting their way through the sewers, you can pick either of them, and I went with Saejima here.
After that and a few cutscenes, it's time for the first of four final bosses, Goro Majima! A fully built Saejima should have no trouble dealing with his sworn brother here by simply trading blows, when Majima creates clones, hitting them once will make them disappear and hitting the real one will also make all clones disappear. Overall pretty easy.
Next up is Shinada versus Baba and I am so salty I missed my chance to no damage because the QTE prevents heat actions for a few seconds afterwards. Otherwise not a hard fight at all, you should know Baba's tricks quite well too.
After Kiryu and Akiyama beat up some more men, Kiryu will leave Akiyama to deal with Kanai... and a lot of his men. The biggest difficulty in this fight is clearing up the goons while being pestered, once Kanai loses enough health, he'll lose his knife and switch back to the familiar moveset you know and hate, when he's left alone, he's not too hard to deal with.
And finally, after even more cutscenes...
The final boss is here! Coming out of nowhere to claim the Tojo Clan, it's Aizawa again! This is a pretty long and epic fight but with a fully built Kiryu, Aizawa doesn't really stand a chance so demolish his many health bars and stay on your toes for QTEs to finally witness the ending of the game!

The way he goes from "IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!!" to "huh?" To "OH SHIT" in less than 5 seconds. Nice.

this final bossfight makes absolutely no sense story-wise but it's one of the most epic things I've ever seen
Aizawa really comes out of nowhere at that part, but he gives us one of the most epic final battles in the franchise, so that's forgiven indeed!
RGG should make a happy ending scene in the third Judgment game.
1. After rescuing Mafuyu and the girls and defeating the final boss at the airport, Yagami and the boys took them home safely.
2. Yagami and Mafuyu getting married at wedding ceremony, they kissed cause they’re now pronounced husband and wife. Kaito and everyone raise a toast to Mr. and Mrs. Yagami, Mafuyu throws a bouquet and Mikiko caught it. Yagami carry Mafuyu as they were getting in a special limo. And then the two of them chill in bed to enjoy their new life of marriage.
3. After the wedding, Genda, Saori and Hoshino at Genda Law Office talk about Yagami and Mafuyu’s marriage life and that the case is closed.
4. Tsukumo, Amasawa, and Jun were relaxing at Yokohama 99. Amasawa was proud of Yagami for being a good husband and becoming a good father someday, Tsukumo was amazed that Yagami and Mafuyu are finally married and Jun was happy that Kaito was Yagami’s best man at the wedding. He also mentioned that Kaito, his mom and everyone going to Yagami and Mafuyu’s apartment for a dinner party.
5. While Yagami and Mafuyu were preparing for a dinner party, Kaito and Mikiko were the first two guests came in with a couple of champagne bottles and a apple pie, and then Higashi, Kyoko, Tsukino and Sugiura came in with some Chinese foods. And then four couples enjoy a delicious dinner.
I love Yakuza 5. I actually like Kurosawa as a villian as he broke Kiryu in this story that no one else did before. The Aizawa fight was out of nowhere but did make sense as he didn't give a fuck about his dad's dream in the end but wanted the fight with Kiryu at the end.
Also loved the Kanai fight just for the story and Akiyama was able to save his home in a real heroic way.
I love the Baba situation where he didn't know where to go or against his boss Kurosawa which he did but was in deinal to Shinada. Shinada one of the best comic relief character in the whole RGG universe.
I love this game.
The game really has a lot of hype moments, and moments that hit hard emotionally indeed!
The majima fight hits harder after playing 0 jesus
When you've seen Majima's full story unfold as you played the series, it certainly gives more weight to fighting him!

An emotional ending… full of tears aNd reunions…. That final scene though…
This ending definitely can't leave us indifferent, makes us feel both joy and sadness all at once, as well as yearning for more!
@@MrLemmy82 Hopefully Judgment 3 will have a happy ending scene of Yagami, Kaito, Higashi and Sugiura. Cause Yagami doesn’t die so many times like Kiryu. RGG should definitely make about it.

damn I just finished yakuza 5. and ppl say yakuza 6 is the epilogue for kiryu. I'm not ready to say goodbye 😭

Talk about an abrupt ending indeed! But it'd be funny for sure!

And thus ends another blockbuster game in the series! Perhaps not the strongest or best in the series but still very enjoyable. Made all the more enjoyable with your skills on the controller!
I realise there's a few more side-stories, post this episode which I'll also watch.

This game is awesome. No one can tell me otherwise, this game is top 3 yakuza games (0, 5 and kiwami 2)
This game has a lot of heart for sure! It can be overwhelming with so much content, but when you enjoy it, it just means a lot to enjoy!

Completed this game recently, i know this game has some holes in story but i really enjoyed the story and final! These bossfigts were pretty fun and really fit for characters (except shinada but he doesn't someone who he would fight instead Baba) Majima fight was a fight of kyodais, Shinada gave Baba lesson with his fists, Kanai was struggle of two enemies for town (Akiyama doesn't play much role in this game tbh since he just helping Haruka but game wouldn't be same without him and their fights was pretty good so yeah), and Aizawa fight was pretty cool too! I mean he appears nowhere but his reason pretty simple: he doesn't want dead clan and instead he want to earn name of legendary yakuza with his two fists, that's why he fight Kiryu, a dragon of dojima, literally battle for the dream. Gameplay was pretty good but 3-4 had more potential for combos (in my opinion) but y5 still pretty good and i enjoyed the gameplay. Overall i like this game! I know it has problems and it's pretty long too (took me 70 hours to finish story while i had only completed 11% of completion list) but i liked it, final gave many questions what gonna happen next, and that gave me motivation to start yakuza 6
The game's story can be a bit messy overall indeed, but it has some great moments, and what it gets right, it gets really right! The Finale was a great example of that!

To my understanding Yakuza didn't really get arrested that much to until recently, but gun ownership was one of the only reasons they did arrest them

also idk if I'm a psychopath but the little screams Aizawa makes in the final boss makes me laugh so much I love hearing him squeal in pain as I tiger drop him 30 times in a row

The Saejima final boss' track is Receive and Slash You, while Shinada's boss is The Mutual Fists.

There's no trick to it, it's really just spamming as hard as you can.
why does it say "FIN" instead of end?
I guess they wanted to use the slightly fancier French way to say the story is over, a lot of games do that, from what I've noticed.

It does drag on a bit in some parts, yeah. I wouldn't call it boring as a whole, but I understand why you could consider it as such.

@@carbonfizz I take it you weren't a fan of the orphanage stuff! Which is fair, it's big for Kiryu's development as a character, but not so exciting to watch.

@@carbonfizz Ah, 3's combat isn't for everyone indeed. It takes a lot to get enjoyable and then it offers a ton of room to progress further with cool tech, but on a casual level, it's a pain in the ass.
