Sunwell Plateau and Magister's Terrace - Music & Ambience - World of Warcraft

- For millennia the mystical pool of energy known as the Sunwell fueled the potent magic of the exiled high elves. Now, the remnants of this ancient fountain have become the Burning Legion's latest target as the demons prepare to summon their commander, Kil'jaeden, with the Sunwell's energy.
Heroes from Shattrath City have joined under the banner of the Shattered Sun Offensive, endeavoring to crush the Legion's invasion before it becomes insurmountable. More combatants join the Offensive every day, but the might of the Legion cannot be easily suppressed. Fierce demonic servants guard the Sunwell Plateau, attacking anyone who interferes with their proceedings. As the time of Kil'jaeden's arrival draws near, Azeroth's heroes have one final chance to save their world from blistering devastation.

Thing number one: I decided to combine ambience of the Sunwell raid itself, Magisters' Terrace and Island of Quel'Danas into one video because making three separate videos would have been borderline ridiculous.
Thing number two: for one reason or another I hated making this one so it's cool people like it. Cheers.
I'm sorry you hated it, but I love it!
Did you just hate the zone or something? What made it different from others?
I like the zone, it's just... Not a particularly "photogenic" one :) I've recorded maybe 6+ hours of video and still not entirely happy with the results.
Ohhhhh
I've been playing the whole "Ambience with Music" list for the past 2 days, and I can say this is one my favorites so far
The whole raid series (Karazhan, Naxxramas, Ulduar and Sunwell) is magnificent. With or without music.
Love these videos
Thank you for enjoying them!
All the elven area music is so lovely veing filled with magic, sorrow, love etc. I actully only clear the Sunwell to afk in it.
I like how all the blood elf music has a sense of mystique but also something insidious going on with it as well.
@@stanleyparks Definitely. Like the majesty and beauty of belf society is just that, majestic but something sinister about all of it... makes perfect sense, they got m'uru being tortured under the belf pally temple in silvermoon.

21:30-23:20 that cello solo was always my favorite piece in the ghostlands
The mysterious bells behind as well
The beginning pieces feel so eerie, and deceptively peaceful, like everything is not quite as it seems. It starts off almost serene, and then slowly becomes more and more corrupt. I hear this music as I imagine leaving the serene forests of Eversong, pulling back one of the gossamer curtains to find a circle of elves toiling over some terrifying and ancient power, their shadows cast across the room against the glow of their wild magic.
The Sunwell... Never forget!
12:50 is the best part
Gives me goosebumps
this raid was so insane hard, back in that time we didnot even succeed in clearing the trash untill 1st boss
This was, by all standards, the best time in WoW history. An epic raid after three other epic raids and a couple fun ones, a gigantic, weird new continent to discover, with all its races and lore.
I'm so happy I got to do this raid finally. Hearing this music and experiencing the thrill of finally downing KJ was a gaming dream come true
Wow is like wine but better.
当年反复刷这里 但是这些音乐我却完全没有印象 因为 当年打这里都是 关闭音乐 音效专心听团长指挥的
Man am I excited for TBC classic.
Kinda went down like a lead balloon, eh?
11:10 is what I imagine playing when this came out in classic tbc, the player base realized this raid was a lil different than Black Temple's difficulty. This raid molded me into a better raider through hardship, Wrath is like a joke in comparison so far.

0:56 is my favorite part
Or maybe the exact tome was 0:57
Goosebumps every time
can be heard on legion login music at the end
@@NA-wh2hy yes that part does it have a name? at 0:57
I always get mocked for loving Blood Elves but their lore, their aesthetic, the music and really everything about them is so stunning. All of the zones are so beautiful but almost hauntingly? It really speaks to the story of their race
Blood elves were and always going to be my favorite in the game for the same reasons you mentioned 🧝♂️❤
b elves and Nightborne put some "class" at the middle of savagery
tbc was legendary
omg thank gawd I finally found a video where the camera moves. I thought you did this in all the old vids but I guess not as this is the first one where it was obvious from the start. I've followed your channel since it was created and remember you bemoaning how Blizzard was going to make it impossible to use addons that let you move the camera like this. That was such a shame because they really help bring these videos to life.
0 Dislikes!!! long live the sunwell!!!
in 3 years, only 7 dislikes...
41:40 to 44:50 is pure madness and beauty
Hey ! I love it :3 Blood Elf is my favorite race after Draeneï : they are beautiful, graceful, elegant
Thank you! Azuremyst is somewhere on the horizon :)
Everness Back from holidays ! I've got so much things to check so I'll listen to your videos as I rest like a slug in my bed :D
i like tbc
Eversong Woods, the belf raids/dungeons and Ghostlands are some of the very best music in WoW 🧝♂️❤
the first music........ im just.... speechless... everything that i ever wanted... all my desires... all my dreams... all of them in one music... how can this even be... Blizzard had made A Legend... the shadow of which is so Great it cloaks everything else they tried to make eversince... nothing can really match this legendary Land, music and Race...
a great thanks to blizzard for this legendary piece of art and Music and to Everness for putting my most favorite musics, the musics of Sunwell, together... you've just given me the world...
That color palette of reds, yellows, and blues at some points works so well.
DESTRUCTION!
Patch 2.4 was the best patch of the game to date. I am so glad to have experienced it in its entirety. I hope 7.2 brings the same feeling that 2.4 did. Into the abyss mortals!
Not really when it comes to mechanics. This patch started the catch-up fiesta. Nerfing required reps for heroic keys, killing the attunement system, discount epics of MGT and badly implemented gating system of the raid.
These are extremely well-made videos! I never took the chance to play the game but these do exactly what I always wanted to do in the game (float around like a dissembodied spirit critter and just look at stuff)

BEST!
I have a confession to make. I did indeed gank the alliance whilst they were trying to do their dailies.
The zone that this raid dungeon is located in is my favorite when it comes to content. It was so fun doing daily quests in order to be one of the first realms to unlock everything. And the world PvP was fun as well. And since Blood Elves are my favorite race, I loved the aesthetics of the zone. The 5-man dungeon and the 25-man raid were also fantastic. But it's also a bit bittersweet to me since pre-nerf M'uru is what caused me to quit the game for a while. I used to be in a top 25 raiding guild and we wiped on pre-nerf M'uru hundreds of times. After wipe #796 I didn't want to play WoW ever again.
I've heard someone say that out of all playable races in WoW, Blood Elves has the best character progression. From arrogant narcissistic snobs and magic junkies to a nation that almost entirely devoted to the Light and prosperity. Not all of them, of course, but still. I see why people think that way.
I wish you'd see more of that progression/development in game. With regard to the old zones.
Blood elf for me a the best in progression
while the worgen have the best starting zone filled with Lore too
Funny comment. After we finally killed Mu'ru I quit WoW forever lol. I hear your pain. I think we were top 100 world kill, took over a hundred wipes for us too, I can't remember how long it was.
Dude, just because 1 raid was pre-nerfed is no reason to quit the game. It's fixed now and besides, at the time their were other raids
-gruul's lair
-matherian's lair (is that how you spell his name?)
-tempest keep
-black temple
-battle fore mount hyjal
And like 2 others that I can't remember the names of
Not being able to complete 1 is no reason to quit. No you weren't prepared for mythic and heroic raids, raid finder, other stuff involving raids. I hate people who quit games just because they can't beat 1 thing in it.
48:00 that part is my favorite.
Thank you so so much for your hard work, this is gorgeous and brings back memories
I love blood elves
Remember the Sunwell! 😭
dailies, sunwell raid with best friends and ganking alliance all day long omg i miss those day!!!!!!!!!!! its funny how some random alliance vs horde start killing each other and all of a sudden its an open battle ground !! aawww man i miss those wow days :( been afk for 6 years as im a medical graduate now lots of doctor stuff :( stil li watch or listen wow music /pvp/arena mounts and wow stuff so much :( .. best game ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( lived duringmy college days between wow, counterstrike 1.6 & age of conquerors miss it :( the clans , the raids , pvps ,strategies ,fun, friends , man miss gaming :(, every time i walk out from arena season with those 2200 rating shoulders or some awesome new mount i got damn !! nostalgia .. meeting ur close friends in arenas as random opposite teams was such a funthing :P . the assemble before raids omg such fun !!!!!!! gonna get back to wow soon once i get my residency :(... I started wow in china the whole wow was in chinese language as a foreign students in china, me and my friends found it so hard to understand each and every thing in the start , later we got to know how to know the characters and navigate wow in chinese :)) made so many chinese friends random people/palyers who helped us understand the game , i met so many of those wow players in real all over china and even today im such good friends with them ..w
Rono Flint You can play tbc and Wotlk again you know. ;) Check out Hellfire wow and dalaran or lordearon wow.. they are private servers emulating tbc and Wotlk, both with healthy population. You can do all the dungeons and raids, Kara, SSC, etc etc. They are both progression servers so sunwell hasn't been released yet on Hellfire but even if you play casually it's fun to relive the memories and old skills/talent trees/zones again.
Wow why have I never heard this before! Its so incredibly enchanting and soothing.
There is never a delay for beautiful pleasant things.
I only discover today (August 13, 2021) this music video that I appreciate very much 😊
REMEMBER THE SUNWELL!!!!!!!
25:45 - 26:06 - this sounds like a corrupted version of a clear version.
Anyone know the clear version?
FYI, the entirety of Sunwell soundtrack is in this video, so all I can say is keep listening - it's here somewhere.
sega616 this is basically the first track in this video, the main theme of the Sunwell that was playing in the trailer for the patch. You can hear a clear version on the isle still, but semi-corrupted and corrupted version doesn't exist anymore because there were 3 phases of corruption in the isles (stages of liberating it/opening the gating system of the Sunwell) and during these first phases they were playing. And also this clear track is playing when Velen cleanses the heart of M'uuru with the power of the Sunwell.
we ground our fingers down to the bone to try to complete this raid before it got hosed due to the removal of Sunwell Radiance
in the end we lost to mu'ru and came back the next day after patch to push him over like a bag of wet socks. ventrilo was silent. a completely empty victory.
in the end we struggled then cleared kil'jaden and considered it a miracle we even got to mu'ru before the nerf
Anu belore dela'na!
That shattered sun crusade tabard looked pretty good on my human rogue.
the song at the start with the choir at 0:57 what is the name?think ive heard it one or two times in the sunwell raid(at the entrance inside)
and during the fanmade blood elf campaign from hive
As soon as i saw this i remembered all the quests lol
Is it me, or does the Sun Well Plateau looks a bit like a college campus in the autumn due to its design? The difference is that it has elven architecture with demons, dragons, magic, aliens and elves.
we only made to the first boss and eventually fell apart as a guild but this was such a fun zone and dungeon. besides, the previous content was pretty awesome as well. too bad modern ow is such shiite
thank you man @Everness. I have found this bgm for many days. Can someone tell me the name of music near 45' which has many voice of little trumpet. It sounds so inspiring, so powerful!!!!!!! Really appreciated.
45:19 what is that specific song called? I can't find the name of it.
Silvermoon City
it plays when you use scrying orb or when fighting kaelthas at magister's terrace

Great! Enjoy. New one is right around the corner.

LF3M for heroic MGT, need rogue, mage, hunter. Must be able to CC without pulling the entire room.
more like "LF2M! Need healer and tank"... 5 hours later

im unsure why but I really enjoy these videos
Glad to hear it :)
Best zone ever, so many memories
I agree with y
Those who didnt raid here in those days will never know what is „HARD“ or PAIN,especially on Muru prenerf.
A masterpiece!🧡
Great video bruh !
How long usually does it take you to make?
From 3-4 hours to an eternity, depending on my state of mind and a few other minor things.
2-5 hours to shoot, 1+ hour to edit, half a day to render (it's longer actually because of my cpu, but I don't count the night time). Plus some time to add info on the RUclips. About 2+ hours to upload (~6Gb per video) it but this process is basically a click and wait so I don't count that either.
+Everness wow man you are putting so much work on it, I thought it is easy to make.

This does not look familiar to me! Some parts, but not much. I started playing WoW just before Cata. Is this how it looked at the beginning?

Once again, great video
How do you do such smooth slow camera movement?

OK so here I am looking throught he comments and I just had an excellent suggestion for your videos that I think would be cool.
I am sure it would be quite hard, and this is only a suggestion, but I thought it would be cool to do one of those 360 virtual reality videos for the music. I mean you already use this "special program" to walk around the area, so why not enhance the experience and make it 360? I am sure it would be hard, but again only a suggestion.
That's a great suggestion and I was looking into doing just that almost a year ago, but turns out it's _ridiculously_ hard to do in WoW. Short explanation: There are two ways to make a 360 degree video, to shoot it with special 360 cameras (like Google does with their maps) or to shoot at a bunch of directions all at once and then stitch the footage with editing software. Editing software is the easiest part - you buy it, you watch some tutorial if you don't know what to do, done. Shooting _in-game_ is what proved to be the difficult part. Theoretically, you can set FoV to 360 and record some stuff and then stretch it back with software, but you will need something to change the FoV of the game (the program that I used is no longer available) and you will need to capture it at INSANELY high resolution. Bad idea all around. Now, shooting at four directions to stitch it that way sounds more feasible. But then you will need, again, higher FoV, and more importantly some kind of software that will allow you not only to use a system of waypoints for the camera (if you want camera movement), but also the option of changing the point of view exactly 90 degrees horizontally. It may sound simple enough in plain text, but the problem is - software like that just doesn't exist. Yet, at the very least.
P.S.: And even if such program will come out, and you will manage to capture the footage at high enough resolution and stitch it perfectly together - you will still have the problem of looking at four different videos around you with four different series of events. Read horses running out of nowhere and into nothing, etc.
Sunwell is almost here...again!

why is only 360 quality ?
I just uploaded it, give it a few minutes to process :)

I know I am several years late to the party, but if this garners any attention, how long did it take you to make a video like this? Thank you so much for your dedication!
You’re welcome! Anywhere from around ten to twenty hours in total (plus the rendering and the uploading), and for up to more than a hundred in the case of the main Skyrim video. These are deceptively time consuming. Well, not this one maybe, but newer ones for sure.
@@Everness1 thanks for your time

your a man of taste
I mained Rogue when I played WoW. When this was the main place to do your dailies, I would finish my dailies and gank people all day. I'd go on the forums and have people make posts about me since you were unable to speak to the opposing faction at the time. A large majority of my time in Highschool was spent ganking people doing their dailies here. Good times, thanks for the nostalgia.
I hate gankers. They're so rude! I'm glad pvp servers arn't a thing anymore
