Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

I was stuck in hospital for a little over 4 months earlier this year, that’s where I found this channel. I watched a lot of RUclips as you could imagine 😂, this channel helped me get through that long stay a lot easier! If I was from Mexico City I would be so proud to show this documentary series to people with immense pride. I think this may be the best one I have ever seen. Rick Bayless would be proud!
Mexican food is so much more than we see in the USA. Damn it looks good!
Very much so when it comes too the 🇺🇸 it becomes diluted for the U.S. pallet. I suggest if you can go there and get yourself some yummy food!
@@saukyasmith7978 😂🤡🤦
Would be nice if more people immigrated here to share with us!
I get the sense that the dollar street foods would be $10 and $20 in USA.
Your amazing!! And an amazing host with sunny your so funny and those Tacos looks so delicious 😋❤️❤️
I can’t believe I’m watching this documentary for free. Like really, this is quality content!
I am an Indian and I really wants to visit maxico. I really love there food ❤️
First explore our country food
psssst tacos de carnitas uuuf!
My dad used to be a mountain man in Mexico living days away by horse to the nearest town. His family, like the other farmers in the area were self sustained farmers and ranchers. They would hunt and eat mountain lions, as well as many other local foods. Including river craw fish and even armadillos. One of the strangest foods they ate was skunk. Not for food, but rather medicinal purposes, they believed that skunk soup would cure many things, including skin diseases.
As a content producer I believe capturing the essence of a country’s gastronomy is one of the hardest things to do. But you’ve done it masterfully and in style, especially portraying the essence of Mexicans love for corn, tortillas and tacos! So hats off to you my friend, keep it coming! Greetings from Mexico City.
it looks so easy, but in reality they really put in lots of work.
All day long process
It does not look easy at all
J it
I remember when a Mexican American won master chef USA, all of the Comments were telling her to stop making Mexican food cause it was so easy.. my answer always was .. I don’t ask you to make the whole dish, just try to make the tortilla from scratch, straight up from the corn. And come back and tell me how easy it is.
El abanico de sabores de norte a sur en México es extraordinario, no por nada la comida mexicana fue declarada patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO. Todo el sabor, los colores, la cultura, es un orgullo haber nacido en México!.
I ve been to Mexico city so many times , one of the main reason is the food , the tacos , the desserts , the tortas , quesadillas , volcanes , pastor etc , so much variety. Love Mexico , but Sunny when are you going to do a food tour in Peru?
He did. It is on this channel.
As an Mexican living 22 years in Canada I could only stand watching 45 minutes of this video, right after the tripa(intestine) tacos i started dropping tears and had to stop watching. Great video wish I could’ve seen it all, but I just can’t, it hurts to know I’m thousands of kilometres away from my delicious Mexican food. Mexico I love and miss you so fkn much, you are the love of my life 🇲🇽❤️
Tripas tacos are my absolute favorite! I'm so blessed to have a place here in New orleans that makes them. Mexico might be the best cuisine in the world..have you ever met anyone that doesn't like Mexican food?

As an American from NYC , where you can literally get ANY FOOD YOU WANT !,
I've spent a bit of time in Mexico, all along the border and all over the Baja peninsula, seems to me every region of Mexico has its own distinct food, or if same food it's own unique flavors.
sí de verdad
You know, Mexico and the Philippines used to be a single nation under the Spanish colonial rule at one point. We come from the same roots! Greetings and abrazos from Mexico City my brother!

Not technically. Because Mexico is indigenous American origins with now mestizo American influences, and the Philippines is indigenous Asian origins with now mestizo Asian influence. The only thing you have in common is being conquered and ruled by Spain.

THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH FOR SHOWING ALL THE WONDERS OF OUR MEXICAN FOOD !!!!!!!!!
Such a beautifully enlightening video. I love how Sonny has an uncanny gift to make fun of a situation without lacking respect. That is an artform within itself. We cannot judge others. If you lived in Mexico odds are you would eat tongue tacos and if you lived in the middle east odds are you eat camel meat. It always baffles me how people lack empathy and judge others for being products of their environments. MUCH LOVE TO SONNY AND THE TEAM!
Very well said
Yes! I love your comment and agree. I see things on his shows, not just this one, that I’d never eat, but I respect those that do. I’ve seen things I’d try!

Sonny, (I know you didn't REALLY ask, buuuuut) I believe the reason why Jack didn't get on the door with Rose was not because of space but because of the door's overall buoyancy and the risk of the freezing water. He tried to get on and they realised that with both of them on the door they would be exposed to the deadly chill of the water. By sacrificing himself, he kept her dry enough to survive until she could be rescued.

Been living in America for almost 20yrs. I miss all my culture. Such beatiful traditions and holidays that i left behind. Hopefully one day i get my visa so i can go back to my hometown and visit. Some holidays and traditions are not for everybody to understand. But the day after the ofrenda is done. You can eat the food on the alter. But the food is plain. As in if the spirit of the person toom away the flavor and left the physical food. Its amazing

I'd love to watch a collab video of you and Lalo Villar from the La Ruta de la Garnacha.🌮
Yes! I was thinking the same
I have unfortunately not had a lot of Mexican foods, but the ones I have had I absolutely love. I’m addicted to tamales. We have a restaurant here that is run by the Garcia family. They opened the first ever, traditional Mexican restaurant in our area in approximately 2009. They immediately did well and have had to move to bigger locations twice in the past 13 years. They will pack up their tamales to go in separate containers so that you can assemble them when you eat them. Dry Tamales in one container, sauce in another, shredded meat in another and then all your toppings in side containers. I will get three or four orders at a time and freeze them in vacuum sealed bags. I just put the bag of tamales in boiling water and warm the rest up on the stove. If I lived closer to the restaurant I’d just go more than once a month to eat…but I live in the countryside and it’s 45 mins to get to their restaurant…and of course 45 mins home. And I usually just want to take a nap after eating there. 😂
Everything that I’ve had at their restaurant is fantastic, so… Thank you to Garcia’s Restaurant in Elmira, NY.
Also, would love you to go to Puerto Rico for several days…I adore Puerto Rican food. I had a roommate in boarding school from PR….Elizabeth. She used to make the most amazing foods. My favorite was black beans and yellow rice in a crunchy, tortilla type bowl. I could eat that everyday!!
I know this video is a year old….I’ve watched it so many times. So I figured why not try to comment….what could it hurt? ✌🏻💕😃
after 20 years in the restaurant industry, im learning so much from this show!
