The meaning of TC is Twin Cities, because Twins play in Minneapolis-Saint Paul Area. Sorry for the comment spam, but is worth to try to explain the concept of some logos 17:00 And it’s on PURPOSE! Because, SF Giants originally played for NY, and Dodgers too, Dodgers wanted to have a new stadium, but NY major denied, so Dodgers decided to move for another city (a.k.a Los Angeles) but MLB said they need to bring another team within, and Dodgers convinced Giants to move to the West Coast, Brooklin Dodgers becomes the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Giants becomes the San Francisco Giants. And since NY lost 2 teams, they created another one, New York Mets, also in my head canon Mets colors are Orange and Blue because of Giants and Dodgers, but in the reality is just because the New York colors are this pattern.
Just a heads up. Most of these are just the cap logos, which are minimalized to use less stitching. These would be considered the alternate logos. The Cardinals have a bird. The Phillies have the Liberty Bell. The Braves have a tomahawk. The Red Sox have red socks. The Royals have a crown. The Yankees have an American top hat. Etc. Some teams you rated their main logos like the Cubs, Astros, and Mariners. Their cap logos: Chicago Cubs is just a C, Houston Astros is just the H and Star, and Seattle Mariners is just an S. It's the same thing with the NBA video. A lot of the logos you rated were alternates. For NBA, all their main logos feature the full team name. The minimized logos are just to save space, so they obviously wont look as good.
Blue Jays are an easy S tier for me. Just look at how spiffy and resolute that lil guy is. Also fun fact: Blue Jays apparently have a reputation among birds for being very aggressive so they’re no joke in the bird world.
To be fair these logos look much better on hats compared to nba and nfl logos. That's why you see most people wearing baseball caps compared to other sports bc the baseball logos have much more swag in that sense
Re: Texas logos having stars/space theme. NASA’s Mission Control is in Houston and Texas is the Lone Star State so they could be an homage to either of those (Astros, Rockets, Stars etc)
The Milwaukee brewers logo is 2 letters, m at the top and b at the bottom, and they both make a glove. Also these logos are meant to fit on their caps so they’re just letters for the most part
I actually think the Cardinals have the most classic looking baseball logo. The birds perching on the bat is a nice touch and they also have a cool cap logo as well. They also have the second most world series titles behind the Yankees. I also like the Mets logo because it shows the city inside the actual baseball which is clever and I also like the Brewers because the logo represents a baseball glove that looks like the betters “B” for Brewers and “M” for Milwaukee. The Pirates and Rockies also used to have really cool logos before they changed it.
The Mets & Giants have the same font because the Mets insignia is basically the old New York Giants logo, before the Mets were a thing The Giants & Dodgers used to play in NY but in 1958 both teams moved to California leaving the Yankees the only NY MLB team. In 1962 the Mets were formed & basically morphed into both the NY Giants & Dodgers which is why the Mets team colors are orange & blue in honor of the old NY NL teams.

All of these MLB logos on that page are the ones that appear on the players' caps, which is why they're all so simple. They're all monogrammed onto caps while every team has more detailed logos that are used more in each team's branding and merchandise.
The thing with baseball is that it is so traditional. And the baseball caps mentioned in many other comments. I'd be curious to see your tier list for all actual logos of MLB teams.
1. Blue Jays is a fine logo. 2. Ranking the Giants and the Mets together is perfect… and that Mets’ logo WAS the Giants logo when they were the NY Giants. Then they moved to San Francisco. So… Great Job! BONUS POINTS: You ranked the Dodgers lower than the Giants… so, again… WELL DONE!! 3. The Brewers logo is well done. Graphic design in an age where great graphic design wasn’t as prevalent in sports. 4. You should do NHL logos next (GO SHARKS!!!!) (Edit: Just saw you did! Cool!)
MLB primary logos are meant to be like this. The letters look more professional on the caps and it's more recognizable. Secondary logos are usually put on alternate uniform sets. You should make a separate video on the alternate ones bc most of them are unique.
Hating on graphic design from 130 years ago is so funny. Of course the Marlins logo is entirely different than the franchises from before electricity. The fact that the simple (and often graphically pretty bad) logos are unchanged is cool.
Your personal opinion on logo design kinda doesn't work here because a lot of the logos are well over 100 years old and logos and team names were super simple 😅
4:39 It’s Red Sox, also Babe Ruth originally played for Boston, but they trade to the Yankees and…Yankees won a bunch of World Series, meanwhile Red Sox failed to win the World Series, the last time they won was 1918 and after that, they won in 2004, after a historic comeback in the ALCS vs the New York Yankees.
A reason they go simplistic with the main logos is vecause it has to be legible on their hats. Their alternate logos are often used in merch and around the parks but something too intricate is hard to make out on scoreboards and hats. Like the Yankees alternate is Yankees spelled out in cursive but the line on the k is a baseball bat with a Yankee/Uncle Sam hat on the tip. Looks great but gets lost when its too small, same with the bear cub for the Cubs. There are teams whose alternates also suck, like the Red Sox alternate is a pair of red socks... Snooze lol
The big ones are: Real Madrid FC Barcelona Atletico Madrid Liverpool Manchester United Chelsea Manchester City Arsenal Tottenham Hotspur AC Milan Inter Milan Juventus Bayern Munich Borussia Dortmund PSG Ajax
If you hadn't looked it up, the twins logo and name is for the twin cities...and a short history lesson the Mets logo is pretty much the former San Francisco Giants logo before the move to California.
It’s also a combination of the colors of the two teams that moved out of New York: Giants Orange and Dodger Blue. (They also happen to be the colors of the City of New York…). But there’s a reason they were called the “ReplaceMets” after they were given to New York when the Giants and Dodgers moved out…
The Athletics are called that because it was originally the Philadelphia Athletic Club Nine back in the 1800s. Also the "Cincinnati C" is adopted from the the Athletic Club of Chicago's mark which also dates to the 19th century.
Texas is called the Lone Star State so..... Also many National League teams have had their logos since the 1800s which explains their simplicity. Also the Giants played in NYC so the Mets took the logo for sentimental reasons. Also their blue/orange colors come from the Giants & Brooklyn Dodgers.
The thing you have to understand about MLB is that some of these teams are very old, and a lot of baseball fans are very conservative. Some of these 'main' logos have been around for more than 100 years with minimal change. Objectively you are right, the Boston B is pretty generic, but that exact style of B has represented not just the Red Sox but Boston in general for so long that it would be difficult to get rid of now. Others probably should be better, but were obviously strongly influenced by the general MLB vibe. You really should do alternate logos, that's where they are more likely to get a little creative.
You should create a video showcasing the MLB's secondary logos (e.g., the Pirates’ buccaneer or the Padres’ swinging friar). The secondary logos are much more interesting than the primary logos typically displayed on the hats.
Talking about that “C”…it’s called a wishbone-C, and it’s been around for over a century. For the record, the Cincinnati Reds are the first PRO team to wear it…though its origins date back to 1898 with the University of Chicago, and no one really knows who designed it. Among the teams to use it: in Baseball, the Reds and the Twins as you saw, but also the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland (then the Indians) both used it at times in the early part of the 20th century. But also, this wishbone-C is the famous logo of the Chicago Bears of the NFL, and it was ALSO used by the then-Chicago Cardinals of the NFL (now the Arizona Cardinals). As of 2012, the Wishbone-C was also used by 7 different colleges, three Texas high schools, it was used by two famous baseball teams in the (I don’t want RUclips to ban me for writing this word) Leagues, the Kansas City Monarchs and Cincinnati Tigers, for a mid-century U.S. Sporting Goods company (Crosthwaite Athletic Supply), a baseball team in Japan (The Hiroshima Toyo Carp) and a Japanese University. This letter is that stylized “S” of sports…everyone was freaking using it.
The Reds and Brewers get my votes. The problem is you aren't showing the Reds logo of Mr Red. He is a man with a head that looks like a baseball. That's a great logo.

How on Earth is the Braves logo in B when it's the exact same as every logo in F? There's literally no difference
These are cap logo not the actual logos
Next you should do DC super hero logos and Marvel superhero logos.

Do College Basketball logos next?
Brewers being anything but S tier is objectively wrong lol I love your continuous hate for letters though, it cracks me up. I know you mentioned you'd love to see something more as a reference to the Brewing aspect, you will be mortified to know the old logo was just an M, but it did have some barley in it so its a toss up.
An alternative logo for the Brewers is a beer barrel man swinging a bat.
Area woman makes enemy out of majority of baseball fans circa 2024, more at 11.

Where is the classic Cardinals bird on the bat logo?????? That is SSSSS tier
The Mets actually stole from both Yankees and Giants. They look like the Giants because the Giants were in New York but left so the Mets were formed in the 1980s... They took the Giants and Yankees logos and smashed them together so they are ultra F lol
