Thanks mate. I'm lovin the wheels. Will have the body done soon, I'm waiting on some stickers now. Which is lucky as I still can't decide on a paint job. 😂👍
Maaaate that's going to be one good looking buggy👍 Those rims are sweet! Good to see some more extensive customisation of Tamiya's on YT, Thanks for sharing your project Mick👌🦘🇦🇺
I hope so mate! Oh yeah they are, I'm still ogling them 😂 Thanks mate, it should look great when it's done... If not, we can just look at the wheels. 😂👍
Looks like an awesome project Mick, old school flames in gold and silver over black would look cool, even camo style using gold, silver and black would look good imo.
Some nice upgrades Mick 👍 I've only bought Egress wheels and tyres for mine. Still got to get the alloy shock towers. Look forward to seeing it finished 😃
Thanks Jenny! Those Egress wheels are pretty popular. The shocks towers look great and are great quality, perfectly match the front uprights. Thanks Jenny, hoping to have it finished next week. 👍
Hi Mick, an awesome VGS upgrade program indeed. Plenty of $ spent ! Should look the ‘dog’s chug nuts’! After the work completed. Awesome. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😁😉😊
Holey shit mate those alloy wheels 🙊🙊😱, they are stunning,I didn't know anyone made those,I can tell u now that whatever u do to this car its going to look unbelievable,I was never a vanquish fan back in the day as I didn't like the jetfighter style body but bloody hell I'd have one now if I had the spare cash!.I've got to be honest, when this car is finished I think it will b in my top 5 RUclipsr rc cars of all time,I can't wait to see it done🥰,Massive love from the UK mate 👊🇬🇧🇦🇺
Lol I hear ya Carl, they're real pretty! They're made by Pargustore who makes a lot of alloy wheels and parts, well worth a look. www.ebay.com.au/str/pmg828 I was never a huge fan of the Vanquish either, just didn't do much for me to look at. They are a great buggy to run though. I'm hoping this one will look nice when it's done, and hopefully not too much like and Avante even though it has the Avante style wheels. I'm waiting on some decals right now and haven't painted the body yet, hoping to have it done next week. Thanks for your support mate! 👍
CHOICE!!! I wanted to build a VQS in black with all the silver bling and Kyosho SCH006SC rear wheels all around, I never thought about the Pragu Avante wheels. I'm not sure on the body but this will look killer.
That would look great, Johnny. Those Scorpion wheels seem to go with everything. Oh yeah, the body is a real sticking point for me but I guess the inspiration will come when I least expect it. 🙂👍
Great project . I found that the oven cleaner removing the anodising creates issues re air corrosion since you are removing the protective layer . I am pretty much waterfront to a bay though so salty air plays halvok with stuff (SE QLD) . I've been quietly buying quite a few Tamiya 1/10 kits lately along with a heap of steering servos, speed controllers and radio gear , not that i currently have the time to play 🙄 , but am already noticing huge price hikes in a lot of gear , not sure if anyone else has seen it (in Australia) , so when WW3 hits us i can lock myself down and play with RC cars and Trains without relying on ever increasing prices or lack of parts . 😊
Thanks mate. Yeah for me the parts do dull off over time, a coat of clear can help stop it. In a salt air area it's probably best to leave it alone, or polish it weekly 😂. I haven't really noticed the prices recently as I've not bought much but I'm sure they'll be using any excuse to jack up the price. Haha yeah, I kinda stocked up for retirement builds but WW3 builds looks more likely, I hope not though! 🙂👍
Dude those wheels!!! I’ve wanted a set of those just don’t think my Avante deserves them it’s so ugly 😂 Gonna be a looker when you’re finished that’s for sure 👍👍👍
Suggestions? Yeah, I got suggestions... It's not my favourite Tamiya but I'd love to paint it. Now that you got all those stickers, might not be so good to suggest you should try a "no-sticker" paint job, it's really lots of fun! And frustrating, ha ha! I guess just try some stuff, maybe get drunk and paint it! Try watch some Hemistorm videos, that might get some cool ideas flowing, the sky is the limit, all that!
Haha yeah, I bought the stickers with a plan in mind but then decided against it. Hemistorm does some great paint jobs. I'm thinking getting drunk and painting it could be the best option! 😂👍
They are mate! I'm not sure if they'd fit the TT02B as I don't have one, but looking at pics I think the fronts may rub on the steering knuckles. I'd try your rear wheels on the front and see if they rub, if not then you should be all good to run these wheels. 👍
Awesome videos mate. Built my first a few weeks ago (I’m in my late 30’s) a Tamiya Hornet and now Im looking at doing another build soon. Any resource tips? Is RC Mart from the US? How’s the postage and conversion rate?
Thanks Gavin! Congrats mate, always great fun building you first kit and just as much fun in future builds. RCmart is from China, they have good prices but the shipping can be costly. I'm not really up on the conversion rates, I tend to check them at the time of buying. RCmart do ship quickly though, that's always a good thing. I've bought a LOT of kits from RCmart and they're always quick, but the shipping does hurt a bit. If you're in Australia, there's Hobbies Direct, Metro Hobbies, Crazy Hobbies which are all quite good. 👍
Story for you I think it was a 1988 my neighbor kid bought one of those vqs he put a modified motor in it thing probably did about 40 maybe I was 11 years old I thought that was the fastest thing I have ever seen that thing scream down the road
It's going to look good, and those wheels are great. Looking forward to seeing it once done
Going to look good. I like the wheels. Can't wait to see the end product.
Thanks mate. I'm lovin the wheels. Will have the body done soon, I'm waiting on some stickers now. Which is lucky as I still can't decide on a paint job. 😂👍
That is one of the nicest VQS I've seen.
Thanks Jonathan! 🙂👍

It's ok, if you crash it and destroy the rims on its 1st run I have an image in my head of how slick and shiny they are 🤤😂👍
@@outbackrcaustralia4895 Lol, don't worry I'll take a lot of pics before I drive it. 😂👍
Those wheels are killer!!! I love all the silver aluminum parts going on and I am sure whatever you end up doing on the body will be cool!!
They are mate, I'm loving em! The chassis is almost done, looking much better now I think. On to the the body soon! 👍
Looking forward to this build and them wheels Mick shiny shiny 😎👊💪👌🔥🔥🔥
Thanks mate. Oh yeah, they're real pretty, can't take my eyes off them! 😁👍
Thats a lot of nice upgrades, gonna be a sick VQS.
Thanks mate. I hope so! 🙂👍
Looks like an awesome project Mick, old school flames in gold and silver over black would look cool, even camo style using gold, silver and black would look good imo.
Thanks mate! Hmm, you got me thinking now. The flames have given me an idea! 🤔👍
Superb project! I was thinking of paining the ends of the metal shocks yellow because the yellow CVS really bring out the iconic vibes of this car.
Thanks Terence! I see what you're thinking there mate, you've got me thinking now. 👍

Do you have a link for the xtra speed aluminum bits? Google is not being my friend this time.
Hi Matt. Sorry mate I don't have the actual links but I'm pretty sure I bought all the Xtra Speed parts from RCMart. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed I found them! Thank you!
What website did you get the wheels from mate?
Pargustore on eBay. 👍

Great looking wheels. Are these available for the tt02b chassis?
They are mate! I'm not sure if they'd fit the TT02B as I don't have one, but looking at pics I think the fronts may rub on the steering knuckles. I'd try your rear wheels on the front and see if they rub, if not then you should be all good to run these wheels. 👍

Hi Mick, I went with the Fibre-Lyte parts. They are carbon and nice. I also got the Tamiya dampers too. Thoughts?
Oh yeah, I forgot, I also got the Avante driver.
