That thing rips Mick👊 It must have taken some gonads to run that sexy looking beast!. Great footage mate👌. It looked like it hooked up and went wherever you pointed it. The RCEvologic gear looks awesome. Great to see another one of your video's mate👍🍻🦘🇦🇺
@@robertb5840 Thanks Robert👍 Your gear looks really smart and works great. Its perfect for Mick's custom builds too, some of his custom builds belong in Tamiya's foyer on display with your hop ups on it👌
Thanks mate, I thought you'd like it! 😁👍 As always, I start slow until it gets a scratch or has a rollover then... IT'S ON! 😂 Oh yeah it did pretty well on that surface for and old design. With some better tyres and shock tuning it would be buttery smooth around there. The rcEvoLogic gear really lifts the quality of the whole buggy I think. Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed Oh yehhhh it was on alright mate, it ripped it up👍😁 In one part of your video I could clearly see the front wheel change direction and it just looked like it meant business👊. Yep they make good looking alloy parts for sure👌🏆. Can't wait to see how it goes with a bit of fine tuning Mick, I reckon in full scale there'd be a bit of rebound bounce going on. Awesome mate👍
Oh man what a sight to see it out in the elements flying through the air. Thank you so much for getting this thing out in the dirt and stretching it legs. Cheers from Northern Kentucky in the states. 🤙
Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. This run was way overdue! Hoping to get more cars out as the weather gets better. Cheers from Victoria, Australia! 👍
Really enjoyed that video and those gold parts are beautiful. That VQS really came out great. Love the footage at the BMX track with those perfect jumps. Love the way the buggies soar through the air. Great stuff!
Thanks Ari. Glad you liked it! Oh yeah, the rcEvoLogic gear is very nice, very strong too! I'm pretty lucky to have a place like this nearby, it's perfect for RC's of all sizes really. Cheers mate! 👍
The VQS ran very nicely and looked awesome out on the track. Looks like the upgrade parts do a nice job of improving handling/performance. Thanks for the video!
This is such a good video. Seeing painting work so well is really nice. I think the painting is the hardest part of the build. it's amazing seeing you paint with such detail. I really like the champagne gold backed with bright silver and red. cheers!!
Thats one great looking buggy Mick and those upgrades are definitely working well, that Air time looks Insane goes hand in hand with the Speed Devil Soundtrack 🙂
Thanks mate. Yeah, the upgrades really do help! It's seems to fly quite nicely and I don't worry about thing breaking so much now. Haha, I only found that Speed Devil track today, it seemed to suit very well. 😁👍
Thanks Owen! Glad you enjoyed it mate. I know I had fun running it. Not so much the editing though 😂. I can live with the few scratches, I'm just happy it finally got out there. Cheers mate! 👍
Hi there Mick, and what a great thrash! The VQS truly looks awesome, so glad there’s not too many scrapes and rashes on it! 😂😂😂 take care and best wishes to you all 😁😊😉
Very cool. I have a VQS still in the box, along with the rcevologic shock towers and rear plate, as well as the Tamiya hi-cap shocks, all in the box. Those hi-cap shocks have been disco'd, so I paid a mint for them, but whatever. I'm still waiting on a bunch of aluminum bits from RCMart, xtraspeed and so on. It's nice to see that the front doesn't bounce as much with the new shock tower, that's awesome. I have three RC projects going right now, RC4WD C2X with a lot of mods RC4WD TF2 LWB with a lot of mods, and as soon as my bits get in from RCMart, the VQS will have tools put to it. Lots of fun and frustration, but that's hobbies, right?
Thanks Matt! Oh nice, your VQS will be a nice beast once it all done. Enjoy the build! The front shock tower does the job nicely, it's good to have full suspension travel. Good stuff mate, those three will keep you busy for a while. Haha yeah, the fun and frustration seems to come as a package deal. Wouldn't have it any other way! 😁👍
Beautiful to see the VQS out in its element!! Shame about the upper rear link. Its very common on the VQS after a hard run. It happened to mine as well.
Yeah it finally happened! 😁 Well, this happened a week ago but didn't have time to edit it till today. The link pulling out was a bit of a bummer but there could have been a much worse ending to the day I guess. I noticed later I did lose something, one of the sway bar links so I'll have to order some. Other than that it was great! 👍
Thanks James! Yeah I think it runs great. I didn't notice at the time but one of the rear stabilizer links came off as well since the upper link rod end holds them on. Oh well, 4 more are in the post! 😁👍
Thanks Mark. Haha, yeah I often have to move stuff out of the way before turning the camera on and the other side of the room is usually a total mess. 😂👍
G'day Robert, thanks mate! This one is in the Brookland Greens estate, just off Sladen St. Cnr Brooklands Greens Blvd & Cherryhills Drv, Cranbourne. Naturally they don't allow nitro or petrol powered cars because of the houses close by but if you're into electrics you're all good! 👍
That seems to jump really well! Quite well balanced in each jump - the bounce/rebound seems to indicate its gonna need thicker oil maybe? But def one of the better balanced cars in the air from Tamiya.
I think it's jumping quite well too, especially for such an old design. The shock tower has really helped the front end. For sure, I think some thicker shock oil should make a big difference. 👍
Yeah it does bounce a bit but the jumps are quite high, the bigger one being around 1 metre high. I think some heavier shock oil will help though. This shock tower has cured the front end bottoming out on the shocks though which is a good thing. Thanks Anthony. I do all the filming and driving myself. 👍
Awesome RC! Looks great and I'm sure it cleaned up just fine. Really takes the jumps nice!
Sweet run with it!! looked awesome ripping it up!! You got to have fun with them and you probably had a blast!
Thanks Steve. You know it mate, it was awesome fun! 😁👍

Sweet run videos mate, fantastic action as always
Awesome bash! Looked amazing out there. Glad nothing broke!👍😊
Thanks mate! I was worried when the back wheel didn't look right, then noticed it was only a turnbuckle. How lucky was that!!! 😂👍
Wowowowow - she jumps as good as she looks - absolutely superb 👌

Mate that run was siiiick 🤘🤘wicked really great slides and jumps 🤩

Kept her right side up that entire time way to go great run!!!

Wow awesome run Mick jumps great man.. looks so nice dude
Thanks Pete! I'm quite happy with how it runs now, and I'm glad those pretty wheels didn't get dinged up. 😁👍
Nice work mate love the hobby room set up !!
Thanks Daniel! 🙂👍
I built my VQS with a carbon kit that is made in the UK. The carbon parts are nice but require many other parts to make it work right. Thoughts?
Wow, this car looks sick. And the tuning is just at the point. I liked watching it run👍
Thanks mate! It was fun running it, glad you enjoyed watching. 👍
I'm always impressed how clean and organized your shop is, I also wonder if it's a complete disaster behind the camera LOL

Bit bouncy over the jumps. Good filming. Do you have someone within you or do you do it yourself??

Yes, good. Clean it up and put it up on the shelf. Too nice to dirty and scratch it up to hell, Mick.
You just reminded me. I still haven't cleaned it! 😂
I'll pretty it up this week, there won't be too many signs of use left when I'm done. 👍
