  • I am now on the Isle of Mull in Scotland and I will be spending the next 2 days enjoying some landscape photography with Nick Page, Adam Gibbs and Gavin Hardcastle. Nick Page is an American and he is not too impressed with the ways of the Scottish landscape. Of course I do my fair share of complaining too and all in all I think it is quite hilarious. Enjoy.

There is no better feeling than waking up with a morning coffee sat on the van step, listening to the sea birds and watching the sun come up, casting it's light on the waves on the shore. Really enjoyed this video

What a beautiful beast that adder. I’ve met a few back here in Norway. They’re quite common where I live. They usually wont nothing to do with you but they do give a bit of a fright when they flee over your foot, while you’re busy setting up! Excellent and honest video today! I liked it and I did like the first image of the tree! Looking forward to more 😀🦊

Additionally, I'm inspired that you can appreciate a moment without raising your camera. I'm trying to get there. My eye, personally, is so attached to my camera, to a fault. Ask my wife. I want to make my photography interest my income stream, but don't know how to shut it off.

Tom this is what I love about your vlogs and positive attitude I like how you can be content not shooting an image if a good composition can’t be found rather than rush when the sky is amazing, We can all learn from this positive attitude👍 the tree image is stunning loving the boats to 👌 Btw you are the master at finding those lone trees 🙏

I have recently started watching your videos and have really enjoy the content so far. I love the campervan videos where you just head off, and then decide to stop along the way when you spot something that is worth photographing. The one main thing I have learnt from your videos (thus far), is that you don't always have to take a photograph, if you cannot see something worthwhile (something I am guilty of !!). Keep up the great work 👍📸

Hey THOMAS! Just started to get into this video after getting back from a 4 day Harley tour through Colorado with GORGEOUS scenery and thought of you. The Palouse, highly recommended. Late spring to early summer seems to be the best while the wheat and corn are green. Bogs: Northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan have them; along with mosquito's, ticks, black flies, horse flies, army worms (aka tent catapillars) and other annoying bugs. I prefer the winters there due to the lack of said annoyances but winter brings its' own set of problems. :)

Another great video and with lots of humour from poor Nick. Rough tussocky ground, dealing with one of our Scottish bogs and the trauma of single track roads the poor man may never get over this visit but that said I for one hope you will both spend more time in my beautiful country. Thank you.

Fun video and great to see you two together again. At one point you said you couldn’t find any good compositions despite good light. I’ll accept your judgement. However, at 8:40 there was a harbor and boat on the far shore that was lit up by the setting sun. I know that you usually carry a long lens. Given one such lit area, I’d have scanned for more.

The camera I have to use, a long term loner from a relative, has a lot of limitations. I concentrate on the kinds of images it does well with. The ones I know I cannot capture, I just enjoy to behold. That I could be there and see that is enough when I consider the thousands of years of history when there were no cameras.

Thomas, great video. I struggle sometimes with getting the shutter speed right when I have moving images such as trees. Therefore I was quite surporised that your shutter speed for the hillside tree was only 1/100 Sec because the leaves and small branches were swaying in the breeze. I'm not sure how the focus of the photograph would show up in detail, slightly blurred perhaps? Can you please enlighten us poor amateurs!

Excellent video (only watched the first half so far), you can tell it's a good time with or without the photography. When Nick got stuck in the bog it reminded me of the time I went knee deep in a bog at 3am on rannoch moor. It's not always about the pictures we take it's also about the good times trying to take them 👍
