What you talk about and how and all the great, valuable information you give is amazing. Thank you. I also like to thank your staff for getting back to me so quickly and lovingly.
Hi Damon, I would like to ask something but totally unrelated to this video. Do you have a video link related to obsessive-compulsive disorder? Thank you in advance.
What you're referring to is what we call secondary gain, something outside of yourself that effects your motivation to do something you want to do, i.e. "If I accomplish lofty goals, my friends might become jealous and I'll lose my friends so it's better if I stay small so I can keep my friends." My advice is get new friends. This has happened to me many times and often with family members, not just friends. In my opinion it's not worth enduring the pain of never fulfilling your potential so someone else can keep you in their narrow box of a category they've created for you. You're the one who has to live with you. You're the one who has to go to bed with yourself at night and get up the next morning and look at yourself in the mirror. Your friends don't. Your friends don't think of you nearly as much as you think they do. When you're not in their presence (and even often times when you are), they're not thinking about you. They're thinking about themselves. You're going to suffer for that? I wouldn't. Find yourself friends who encourage you and support you and who have your back when you fail. Put yourself around friends who compete with you in a healthy way so you lift each other up and who you can celebrate your successes with and celebrate their successes with them. Trust me, those people are out there and they're usually very welcoming of new friends who are positive and open minded. Perhaps initially you may have a few really good friends who get jealous of you because they're not used to you doing something amazing. Maybe some will need a little time to come around and in the meantime they give passive aggressive, backhanded compliments. Call them out for it and tell them that if they're a real friend, they would be happy for you. They may just say that they're kidding around and that you can't take a joke. Good friends should help you not take yourself too serious and keep you grounded, but if the backhanded compliments and jokes keep happening, they're probably resisting adjusting their perspective of you. If they don't come around, drop them.
Hi Damon . Great video Thankyou Can you elaborate on some different strategies that can be adopted by a client when doing A WFO to deal with the “ external “ resistance . Can you comment from a clients and coach perspective please ? Simple examples may be let’s say worried about what spouse thinks or friends if they were to a achieve the goal. And with internal resistance when you mention “integrating” are more referring to particular nlp techniques like parts integration for example ?
With external resistance we're talking about things we can't control because it's outside of us. The question becomes a matter of influence and each situation is going to be different so it's hard to give you advice on how to handle it. Dealing with external resistance can be similar to a parts integration but one part is not part of you, the part you have no control over. But you can still engage with that person, find out what their positive intent is, and try to integrate their positive intent into what your objective is so you both get what you want. Yes, with internal resistance I'm referring to parts integration. I have a slightly different way of doing it than the traditional Visual Squash Method: ruclips.net/video/YeWDwLOLgJU/видео.html
I liked this...until you sort of crossed swords with quantum intention and vibration actually producing outcomes without any or much effort (which some people call law of attraction), which I have actually had happen in my life multiple times. But still great content which I will put to use.
How do you know it was quantum intention and vibration that produced your outcomes multiple times. What evidence do you have? And don't say you just know it was, that's not evidence.
@@DamonCart two medical doctors wrote my case up in medical journals and discussed the power of quantum intention/prayer, after I survived a diagnosis that said I would die one of 9 different ways within 24 hours, and that nothing could be done for me medically. Hard data in various medical cases has been gathered by Joe Dispenza and others over a period of 13 years. Other instances I likely can't quantify to anyone who doesn't relate to quantum intention in the same way.
@@PickettMusic I'm not saying the circumstances of being given a short time to live via a diagnosis didn't happen happen to you. There are plenty of cases on record like that. Quantum vibration, however, is a phenomenon in science that can be measured by heat and movement, for example. What you're referring to is not that. What you're referring to has never been measured and has never even been detected so you don't know that there is any connection. References to quantum vibration and what you're talking about is only metaphorical at best. In other words there is no hard data for such a thing. I would like to read those medical journals that you mentioned though and any of what you're calling hard evidence from Joe Dispenza. He is not a scientist and if he had stumbled upon hard evidence of quantum vibration being detected for what you're talking about, it would be a breakthrough that would be bigger than Einstein's theory of relativity. @@DamonCart and we don't have to agree on everything for me to get value from certain of your content here...but your approach via 'it just doesn't work that way' is a bit of a concern, as that hasn't been my experience. I think if 'scientists' are the arbiters of this kind of information on whether we take physical action, that's problematic, as I might have to take the word of a guy like Fauci or a 1990s cholesterol expert to inform what to do or not do in life. Joe Dispenza's case studies, certain of them, can be found via his video presentations on YT. The medical journal articles on my experience are from '72 and I don't have them. They may be on file in Alaska (where I'm from)? Also the work of Emoto (water experiments), Lynn Taggart, Rupert Shelldrake tie in to what I'm talking about in terms of not having to take physical action to affect physical outcomes...but again, we don't have to agree on these things for me to glean value from things like values elicitation, as those things may not align with everyone's core values.
@@PickettMusic that's what I'm asking. Explain what your experience has been that connects the dots to what you believe. Every time I ask this question to people who believe in what you believe they can't answer it. I can give you specific explanations of how NLP has worked in my life because with NLP we focus on how we arrive at results so we can replicate the results we want. I agree with you that we should not wait on scientific proof before we take action. We would wait forever. Technology doesn't wait for scientific proof before innovating. Technology borrows from science what is useful and then aims at creating a result. Science is about proving what is objectively true. NLP is a technology that focuses on creating a result and how we get to the result so we can replicate it.

God bless brother! Keep smiling :)
Thanks, you too!
Fantastic video this. A great refresher on WFOs. Thank you sir
Thank you. My pleasure.
Really like how you described this process. It has clarified it better than others I have looked at. Thank You!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm just beginning to take nlp seriously but have been aware of it for awhile. Where can I find a syllabus or a Playlist for self teaching the basics?
I don't have a syllabus for any of the free training I provide. Just dive in anywhere and go for it.

In the outcomes pdf the "values ellicitation" link seems to be broken... at least for me.
Just checked it. It works. Try copying and pasting it into your address browser. If you're still having trouble, email support@selfconcept.com
