Liberty fan here. The thing I'll say is DeMario is great, and really great, at getting separation. He's great on sweeps, reverses, screen passes. He didn't always have great quarterback play. Great at juking people. He has better lower body strength than you would think and he can really leap for a small guy. But he lit it up against Power Five teams when he had the chance. If there's a weakness, while he is explosive returning kicks, his decision making was not always good on returns and he fumbled a few.
Picking guys to make it at the next level is really what this is all about. The kid has obviously talent and speed, and if he can "get it" the way Julian got it, then he's going to provide BillyO with a true weapon of mass destruction. What I like about how this is shaping up with truly explosive athletes is how Billy can surprise teams in September, especially with RPO capability, and explosive new WRs that nobody can cover adequately. Now, we need Troy Brown to step it up and turn Douglas and Boutee into actual threats.
Best breakdown yet! Exactly Billy O can take this offense & make it top 5 in nfl Troy Brown will have his hands full but man if he taps into Boutte & Douglas & thornton talents this could be a very good bounce back Mac Jones that won the natty WoW how everyone's forgotten! It's time he reminds everyone who & what he is!
@@nymsnot_your_mommaz_stream5683 speaking of Mac and the rest of the offense, they had no identity last year. I think people today are generating their expectations based upon that failed project, but this is wrong. Look at the talent and the coaching of today, not yesterday. Yes, we have a lot of young, unproven talent, but make no mistake that it is talent/speed. Besides that, I call the defense a top 5 and ST maybe top 3, and this team is not going to be some pushover, easy out.
I feel that way this year about Malik Washington from Virginia he reminds me of Steve Smith he’s 5-8” 195# and rocked up he runs guys over has a ridiculous contested catch win rate of over 60% that is insane for a guy his size he is my favorite player in the draft and I want the Pats to snag him
I liked the Douglas pick more than Boutte pick. It may just be a case of like you said, a very underrated player in this draft. I think his size and the school he went to probably had something to do with it. That being said, he has to work hard and prove himself to O’Brein. Either way, if he and Boutte can stay healthy, they will at the very least, give us something fun to watch for in the preseason games. I really wished they had gone receiver earlier. Gonzalez was a great pick in round 1, and it’s almost impossible to pass up on 1st round talent Keion White in the 2nd round. But man, there was some really talented receivers still available in the 3rd round when we took LB Mape. From what I understand, people are saying Mape was a Belichick favorite from the 2023 draft. So, I guess I get it. But they passed up some TEs in a DEEP TE draft and some good receivers. TE Tucker Kraft, WR Josh Downs, TE Darnell Washington (a freak), WR’s Derius Davis, Charlie Jones (perfect Patriot slot WR), WR Tyler Scott, TE Josh Whyle, TE Will Mallory (fastest TE at the combine), passed up WR Tre Palmer, a speed demon, to take Boutte. Just passed on a boatload of WRs and TEs.
Yes, I think Demario Douglas has the potential to be a potential nightmare for opposing team's defenses to cover. Keeping my fingers crossed that this draft choice works out for the Patriots.
I think we need to worry if the Patriots work out for him. The schemes, packages, play calling, blocking, etc. He has the talent and attitude, just needs the opportunity and support.
I also think if Marcus Jones CAN be an explosive player on offense that they really have to utilize him time to time. Keep him in there just enough to keep defenses honest when they see him
exactly... you can see several of those plays on Demario's tape from Liberty. Plug right in... Plus, that leaves Marcus to be fresh on D. Where I think he could have the slot this upcoming season.
I'm surprised his 3 cone is a bit slow, we need a small alot who can also go deep though, overall the team got much faster when Demario and even boutte, given both Meyers and Bourne run at 4.6s.
Thank You For Watching!

This man gain like 30 pounds since this video. He’s officially in the 190s

Excellent job in breaking the players down. And I love the optimism. This year's draft could be one of the better years than we've had in a long time.
Thank you for watching. This draft class will be underappreciated by most fans.

Super Demario&MAC F'N JONES BA BA!!
Just came across your content this morning and I've binged 3 episodes in a row. Really enjoying it, great work!
I hope you enjoy. More to come.
bro you had me on the floor "because..... he's about the size of a 6th grader" LMFAOOOO
Hey great video man. I’ve been trying to find a good analytic breakdown on the guy!

Just on the eyeball test Douglas _looks_ like a pro.

This tape remind me of santonio Holmes a little bit
interesting comparison. Santonio is underappreciated these days.
@@patsstats indeed
Good thing is Douglas has bulked up to bout 190lbs
leading receiver i think ....
I think you can be high on Douglas because we had a roll on offense (marcus jones) where we can point and say thats what he could be great at

Similar to the size of Wes Welker. Use him the same way.
In regards to your concerns about his size, did you forget wes welker was a small guy?
its not his height really. Welker and Edelman had about 15-20 lbs on Demario. 20 lbs on a 5-9 to 5-10 body frame is significant.
I'm surprised his 3 cone is a bit slow, we need a small alot who can also go deep though, overall the team got much faster when Demario and even boutte, given both Meyers and Bourne run at 4.6s.
yea... I am not surprised when I see a slow shuttle from a smaller guy. But, typically they do well on the 3-cone.
Too small
Boutte and Douglas are giving me gronkowski Hernandez vibes as two guys under drafted( for various reasons)who show great promise there rookie year
Honestly wouldn’t be too excited about Boutte, but I have high hopes for Demario.
Wasn't he the guy who got Willis drafted? Or am I thinking of someone else at liberty?
Got that boy a check
