  • I am not sponsored by nor am I being paid by JKS Manufacturing for this long term review.
Last year in April I installed the JKS J-Konnect Suspension System and after a year and a half and 15,000 miles it is time to give my long-term impressions! In this video I highlight the JKS’s 6 types of suspension systems, their J-Rating Terrain Scale, the completeness of the J-Konnect Suspension, Cost, along with On-road and Off-road performance.
This is my first long-term review video so drop any feedback in the comments below to help me know what you liked, didn’t like and how I can do to improve!
Below I have a link to my off-roading playlist to see more of the performance of the JKS J-Konnect Suspension System.

Good info bro… I had to turn up the playback speed to 1.5% though. Talk faster and bring more energy for success

I have this JKS 3.5 lift Kit and it rusted after only 7 months !!!.......I live in a snow free zone of Vancouver, BC My 2021 Wrangler is a mall crawler and doesnt see real offroad action ,and yet it couldn't even handle 7 months of normal road conditions....paint is flaked off and looks like $hit .....It should have been at least powder coated it for the price I paid.

That is interesting, I have not had any issues with the coatings on my system. My only issues are from going over rocks. I am only a few hours south of you but I am curious being closer to salt water if that could be a factor. 🤷‍♂️ I am running on almost 2 years now and have been in all different climates!

Hopefully you contacted our tech department! This is not typical for our kits. We use a high quality coating, however every location has challenges.

great review with very important details. one think people need to realize is that "offroad is a progression"

Thank you bud! I definitely agree! I think there is a lot of value of starting with stock and build in steps and understand what each upgrade does and the performance improvements of each. I think that makes the best wheeler’s versus some that go from stock to fully built immediately. It doesn’t take the skill and time to become a well rounded wheeler as much that way.

What size tires are you running? I’m trying to decide between the J-Spec 2 1/2” kit and add control arms or this 3 1/2” kit… Not sure if this will be too tall. Thanks

Hey there S Moore, thanks for checking out my video! I am running 37x12.5r17 Firestone MT2’s. You will need the 3.5” kit and either add extra bump stops or add a 1” body spacer kit otherwise you will rub your inner fenders. I think they recommend a 35” max tall tire for the 3.5” and maybe a 33” tall tire for the 2.5” lift. I do not recall tho.

    Solid review brotha.
Just one question, on your lift or any lift , are you able to upgrade the bushings to achieve the articulation your looking to get?
Keep up the great work. Your killing it👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you Lives2fish! That’s a good question! I think there are options out there at least for some suspension systems. For example I think the teraflex ends can be upgraded to their IR bushings. However for this case my stock upper control arms would still be the limiting factor and I think at least for JKS their fully adjustable upper and lowers only come with their flex joints.
